This was a powerful song because it was from Toby's heart to his heart, his son. Toby wrote this song for and about his first-born son, Truett. I have no doubt that Toby and his son were both given this song of compassion as a gift -- a God-inspired gift, that sincerely expressed Toby's love for his son, and that now will hopefully continue to help him marvel at God's grace and heal his wounded heart. This has got to be one of the most powerful and overwhelming moments of Toby's witness -- a moment that was unforeseen and unimaginable to him -- when inspiration and obedience of heart moved him to compose a love song to his own, not knowing how it would touch everyone and oh, so deeply. An inspired message of compassion from a father to his beloved son. And a divine message for hope and healing to a grieving father from a Father who understands. I am moved.

Last night while watching random You Tubes while my husband was somewhere else I came across this song and the title caught my spirits attention to watch. The lyrics really reached my heart but the message did not hit home till my husband and I were having a discussion about the argument we had the previous day. The RHEMA word that came from the Lord thru him during our discussion was and I quote "I (me) have too many BATTLE SCARS". We both started to weep when I told him about this song I just heard for the first time last night. These lyrics were written not by Tobys might and not by Tobys power but by MY SPIRIT SAYS THE LORD. Thank you Toby for your obedience and God bless your family for their sacrifice while you are away ministering in music to us wounded warriors for Jesus.
This performance, how God got him through the loss of his son amazes me. As a Mom with a “Wild Child” of of my own, I cannot even imagine…when he stands on his tip goes and lifts his hands up to God made me burst out in tears..that part reached Heaven..not a doubt in my mind. I must add that I was a drug addict, Jesus set me free nearly 3 years ago..my kids watched me during my active addiction, and for my oldest daughter..that’s what scares me the most, is her following in my footsteps. That’s a real fear but I know Yahweh is bigger than all my fears, and he will keep my Daughter safe in this crazy world until He pulls her out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. I will be sharing this song with her..thank you Toby for writing this, you didn’t just write this for Truett..you wrote this for Katelyn and the rest of God’s prodigal children. Thank you Toby.

I had this song on my headphones .. when it came to "lift your head" I lifted my head... and I saw a completely covered altar ..., again lift your head, and again I don't see any sign ... then third time ... then I recognized the altar was covered by a giant chandelier looking like a crown ... My lip is split. Praying we find a better home for my cat. He’s had a rough life, rescued after being thrown from a window as a kitten. He’s not content with us and fights with all our pets. I tried to break up a fight and got hit in the mouth and face with claws on Mother’s Day. Didn’t need stitches but it’s ugly. Liquid glue and food through a straw. I can barely brush my teeth. Just paid $700 for my elderly cat for dental and bloodwork and grooming. He’s happy and doing good but hides from Boston. I can’t take it anymore. But I love him so much.
