Totally awesome chops!! Kudos from a 72 year old jazz drummer! Maynard would be proud!🥁🎵👍🏻
What a band!! The time, the energy, the chops and great solos, especially Summer. Keep up the great work everybody!!
Summer is going beast mode! She sounds amazing in literally everything bro! Holy cannoli
She just had her senior recital at Julliard the other day. It was
live steamed so you should be able to find it.
Bravo! Good job by all concerned here. Good program for these kids. outstanding soloists and good ensemble. Fun to hear!
Wait this is a high school band? What
Dillard was ridiculous this year. It was incredible to hear them do this live! So much talent in that band, and great collective spirit.
Yo, Keon Gooding has that SOUND at 2:45
1:39 no doubt in my mind she did the horse whinny on sleigh ride
Love the girl's sound! BRAVO!!!!
FACE-MELTING HEAT
So, so many congratulations to these incredible musicians!
Bunch of badassery!!
this year's level is pretty good
Excellent, an example for all.
When I heard the trombone soli I thought my playback speed was turned up
That rhythm section is airtight. Section work brilliant !
Dillard don’t mess around!
WOW
her Trumpet solo was insane!!!
Holy smokes.....
BAD ASS
agreed
The trombone part was nasty
Just a general question (I'm not too familiar with Essentially Ellington) are bands required to have all the music memorized or is this band even more incredible than they initially seem?
Although i am not 100% either I believe that it is an informal tradition in a way to come to the competition with memorized music (especially the top bands like Dillard and such) but I have seen bands play with music. Again I am just guessing and I have never played at EE
@@goldenpooper4326 Thank you so much!
They get extra points for memorising music that’s why it’s not because it’s a tradition or snything
you can read it but you get more points if it’s memorized because they say that people play with more soul and energy when they play it by heart instead of being stuck in the page
@@PumilateVFX nah we don't get points for memorizing
That trumpeter gives me a tromboner.
boy this is HIGH SCHOOL lol
Insanity.
