- Growing cabbage in containers is easy, especially if you don't have a lot of land.
This cabbage great for stir-fries and egg rolls. This video is our best way to grow cabbage in 5 gallon bucket from seed to Harvest.
#garden #howto #organic
Cabbage is delicious, early heads are sweet and tender! Leaves are thin and juicy with a slight peppery bite. Small, uniform heads with attractive rosebud wrappers are great for containers.

Have a Blessed Day - Jak na to + styl
Thanks so much for your video's. When I've had a hard day, watching your programs can be relaxing & refreshing. Sure would like to meet you guys. If we don't get a chance here, we will run across each other in heaven. Blessings. PS. Our grand daughter said she watches you guys. They live in town & have began growing a backyard garden. She enjoy's watching.
@Ron Bennett Outdoors & Country Good to hear from you Ron. Glad our videos are fun for you to watch! Thatâs awesome that your granddaughter likes our channelâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž. We decided to try to do a few fishing videos for next year. They are not tutorials. We will leave the fishing tutorials up to great fishing channels such as yours. Our fishing videos are just something fun and relaxing to watch. At least thatâs the goal anyway. Just filmed a crappie trip on Tuesday. We caught 19 in August!! We couldnât believe we did that good. The water has not started to cool down yet so the best fishing is still ahead of us. Nancy is going to add how we cook them on each video as well. We are hoping the videos will bring some joy and peace to folks that watch them. Thanks for watching. Have a peaceful weekend
U hi
Welcome back it's been a while since you posted a video. I was hopping you haven't given up because of the folks complaining about your fishing videos. I'm glad you are back. Me and my family really love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
So happy to see your videos again. We all missed you
Thanks for what you do to help us the new gardener's to enjoy the process of planting our own food. God bless
Agree with you welcome Hollis back continues the gardening work , have a nice day to you
As a new gardener, it is so helpful that you show the entire planting to harvest process. Thank you so much for an excellent video.
I try not to think of myself as "old" as it might keep me from having goals and doing things. I am 66 and I love gardening among other hobbies. . I planted a cabbage in a container and enclosed my whole garden in hardware cloth because of deer and groundhogs. Thank you so much for your detailed video. There is so much to learn about gardening, even if you've done it for a while, there is so much to know! Thank you again!
You and Nancy have the best videos! Clear instructions, friendly smiles, humble thankfulness, great cooking recipes, and much needed help (at least in my case)! I think you both look so much younger than your years, because you stay active and eat healthy (with the Good Lordâs help, of course). I donât comment often, but I want you both to know what a blessing your videos are to me. They bring back such good memories of growing up on our mountain farm. I miss the awesome garden food, and cabbage is one of my favorites. I Iike it cooked any way, and I love to make chow chow. Due to my limited space, I have learned how to grow a few patio vegetables from watching your channel. I also love to watch Nancy cook. She has given us some great recipes and tips! Thank you!đ
Nancy is working on several new cooking videos for 2022. I have seen a couple of them. They are really good. I think you will be well pleasedâ€ïž
I agree totally WHAT A BLESSING
đ.
I lost my grandfather Oct 1st 2021. He took the role of being my father and I honestly feel so empty and lost without him. Two of the many things he engraved in my heart was to always have faith in God and gardening. We were supposed to create our own garden together but we never got the opportunity. I had so many questions because he was an incredibly intelligent man. I am happy to have stumbled across your channel. Somehow watching your videos and also knowing that you two are both believers in Christ brings me peace during this difficult time in my life. Please continue making these videos. God bless you and your loved ones.
I am so sorry for your loss. đ. Your grandfather clearly loved you deeply. I pray for our loving Father to comfort you and heal your broken heart during your season of grief. I hope you will start a garden in the spring. I think you feel a peace in your garden knowing your grandfather would be so pleased. Do it in honor of him. You will most likely find great comfort in your garden. I am glad our videos inspire and encourage you. Please enjoy the videos with your grandfather in mind. We will begin our 2022 season on January 1st. Please enjoy the videos each week. We have a lot of new videos coming your way. Peace to you Misa. God bless you
I love watching your vids uncle, I say uncle as a form of respect, on my island of Trinidad and Tobago, that's how we call the older and wiser ones. Your vids are so helpful and give me a certain sence of peace while watching, very educational. God bless u guys, may he continue to shower u with health, strength and prosperity. Keep up the good work. This world needs so much more people like u both.
You are doing a lot for a youngster of 67 years. I feel accomplished hitting the produce stand. Brats help to balance out all the greens. God Bless.
Hollis, aren't you glad you got all the major building projects done before lumber prices sky rocketed.
So happy to see you back again. I have missed your videos.
Love how you go from start to finish in one session. Thank you for your informative videos
There isn't anyone that presents their teaching videos as well as you and Nancy. My husband and I have watched a lot of other videos and we always comment on what you and Nancy would do.
We have learned so much from you. Your videos are a blessing to us and everyone who watches you.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of gardening, cooking, and your love for God.
I know it takes a lot of time and effort on your part but I love, love, love that you take us through the entire process from planting to harvest all in one video. It's the best!
Thank you Renee. The extra work of the progression video is worth it to us when we hear a sweet comment like the one you just gave us. You blessed us on this day with your kind words. Peace to youâ€ïž
I am 66, so I definitely relate! I heard you say bone meal, I read blood meal...wait, what?? So happy to be back...I haven't been watching videos...I missed you and Nancy...your videos are always a bright spot in my day!!
I'm 73 and heard and saw the same thing..lol...according to his previous video lesson RE: the usage between the two for desired results, I was confused, so I replayed and confirm it and he meant to say "blood meal"....I love their videos

Thanks so much! I lost all my squash due to vine borers so now I'll try cabbage. Love Bing bing!
So glad to see you back! I have learned so much off your vegetable gardening. You made me a lot more confident growing onions. I don't live in the same zone as you but I still learn a lot! I tried to build the same drying area to dry my onions and garlic. Itâs been the best way to dry my onions and garlic. I love your growing in pots or bucket method. I would like to start doing that for my hot peppers. You and Nancy are the best!
so glad you are back I have truly missed your videos. my grandangle named my vegetables again this year so the birds and squirrels are having a small feast grown by Madison

love the way the place is looking. since last time I saw any of your vids, we've relocated ourselves. now out of the big city on two acres with lots of oak trees. about 1/4 - 1/2 acre open and ready to plant. going to have to put up 8' deer fencing like you did. they eat EVERYthing!!! Can't even have flowers. Moved during Snowmageddon here in South Texas, and it was an adventure to be sure! Looking forward to getting back to growing things! God Bless, and keep em coming!
Haven't watch the video yet. But, glad to see all is well. I kinda missed you guys. Thanks for sharing your gift!!!!
Sorry we havenât been releasing very many videos this summer. We have been extremely busy with the homestead. Hollis injured his back in the spring so we kinda got a little behind. The video release schedule for 2022 is the most aggressive schedule we have ever had on our channel. It will be a HUGE increase in videos released. I think you will be well pleasedđ
@@HollisNancysHomestead Awww!!! No worries, I hope Hollis is doing better. Will be watching for 2022. Be blessed and take care!!!
