I adore seeing "the younger kids" in the world loving 70's music. Before computer-generated, in-tune tools. Real voices, 4 part harmony. And the honest rebellion we had.
And it was a real amazing time for a lot of different genres.
Probably the most diverse music from 1970 to 1980.
China Grove is another great one pre-Michael McDonald era
Tom and Pat are still the DB Force. MM is on board, too.
Also “Takin it To The Streets” ✌️
You can’t go wrong with The Doobies. Try Black Water
Awesome man!
- What a Fool Believes, Listen to the Music, Black Water, China Grove ✌️
You want to hear them do something that hits you right in the heart?
Listen to "Taking It To The Street".
Hello to my high school daze!!! 😽 Gotta love The Doobie Brothers!
They were so soulful and they put out some great tunes. The 70"s rocked!!
IMO, The Doobie Brothers is one of those rare bands that NEVER recorded a bad song. Pick any album, and just play it. Every song is great.
“Ya know I saw Miss Lucy. Down along the tracks
She lost her home and her family now she won’t be coming back.”
Lead singer then was Tom Johnston. He had to leave the band in 1975 due to health issues. Michael McDonald came in after that as lead singer.
Minute by Minute is my favorite Doobie Brothers song among other amazing songs!!!
This is music for the people. ❤️
" listen to the music " you will like that too ❤️
One of the best harmonica solos of all time too!!!
With this bànd, everyone member was so talented and their voices melt into one another so beautifully. Never knew who was going to have the lead vocals. Love and appreciate their band.
I wish I had appreciated this music more when it was new. But back in the 70's there was so much great music that we just kind of expected it to all be excellent. Nothing like today where you have to sort through 300 songs to find one that has talent. Back then it was talent: no bullshit autotune and computer looping.
Can't go wrong playing the Doobies.
Child, this reaction gives me some hope for future generations. ♡Your face when the harmonica started up ... ♡
Always invited to my picnic
The Dooooobs!!!!!
In the early 70s the Doobie Brothers were my cleaning the house music. Just blast it and dance and sing while working and before you know it everything's clean. Black Water is a must listen. I would also recommend Takin' It to the Streets and Rockin' Down the Highway.
I would also do chores to the Doobs and Skynard and some Black Oak Arkansas. Good times. I surely do miss the 70's.
"Long Train Running" by the Doobie Brothers is a pure "FIRE" Banger!!!
U MUST hear BLACK WATER by them. The BEST. U will not b disappointed.
Great band
Be well
Be safe
Be happy

This group has had three lead singers. This singer I believe if my memory serves me is named Johnson. He wrote this song and one that has become a standard LISTEN TO THE MUSIC if you never listen to another of their songs without a doubt this one must be it, When this guy left the group Michael McDonald took the lead, The songs changed to more of a blues style. Michael sings TAKIN' IT TO THE STREETS and WHAT A FOOL BELIEVES are classics.
1973, soundtrack to my Junior High years.
It Keeps You Running by Dobbie Brothers is another great song by this group from the 70's.
I love to see young people react to the true musicianship and the great singing of the Doobies. So so good. Enjoy!
Nothing but the BEST from the BEST decade of music...1970s!! Doobies STILL kicking it today!! Up there with the GOAT bands..Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Eagles, BTO, BeeGees, etc......
I NEVER get tired of this song!
Love the Doobies.
"Black Water" is an excellent song by the Doobies.
The Doobie Brothers "Long Train Runnin", just genius.
I've never heard another song like it.
Michael McDonald wasn't with the DBs at this time.
He joined later, and together they created a whole new sound.Michael was also with Steely Dan.He also did keyboard and background vocals for other artists.Like Christopher Cross and Kenny Loggins.
I love when people react to this...I've never seen anyone not love this song, but your facial expressions are making this a great reaction. I still do similar ones every time I hear this song.
You listened to the proper Doobies this time. Tommy Johnston, lead singer/songwriter and guitarist, who did this number among many, had to leave the group in the 1980's, after which Michael McDonald, who had already played with them before from time to time, too over the lead. There are... many mixed emotions about McDonald. But like him or hate him, he did keep the band together and successful through the 80's for which we should be thankful. Nowadays Tommy Johnston is back again, and they still rock the joint as never before; there's concerts on the youtubes by them up to like 2016/17/18
My all-time fave is and always will be their first huge hit Listen to the Music. Such an uplifting, upbeat song, you just can't sit still when you hear it. If you listen to it, you'll find out ^_^
I have long loved this song - but I've gotta say, watching *you* hearing it for the first time was a trip. Man, your facial expressions are beyond entertaining.
back when vocal harmony was ever present and appreciated.
The SOUL in ur young life kiddo is AMAZING ..... my God ur lucky to feel it like this being able to present to other with no filter .... magical .. thank u for this ;)))) There are still people out there i guess .....
The guitar licks are amazing & the bass line is nasty good!!!
They did a quarantine version of Black Water you must hear. They still sound great after all these years!
So funky !!! Gotta boogie on down !! 🤗
This song and China Grove by the Doobies and Stairway to Heaven were played at every dance when I was in high school, absolutely necessary.
Wore out the Doobie Brothers 8 Track a few times in high school in the 1970's. Google 8 track tapes...lol
Priceless reaction.
Just love love love the Doobie Brothers & it’s great to see a young person enjoying it! 💕👍
So much soul. I love this band.
There ya go! Soul moving music! Makes you feel uplifted!
One of my favorite bands of the 70's. Makes you wanna dance!!!!🕺🕺
Saw them in concert. Super awesome! What a Fool Believes is actually Michael McDonald during his solo career. “Black Water” and “Jesus is Alright” is great!
The Doobies cannot be denied".Long Train Running" is my favorite Doobie Bros.song.They have so much to offer, and they never fail to give it.
Doobies were one of the best at rhythm sounds that kept you in a groove.
Great song....great band saw them in concert in 1975...my first concert....was amazing!!!!✌🦋
The Doobs rock AND groove. " What A Fool Believes" was a ginormous hit for a reason. Big recommendations here. I know you'll love it. A different, soulful sound to this stellar, diverse band.
When Music was Real and made you feel good and want to get out and have fun.
Joy.
U gave joy.
Man did the Doobies MOVE my soul...in the seventies and still.
To see u groove to it likewise was splendid😄
The Doobie Bros appeared on the 70’s TV show based in Watts LA “What’s Happening” Roger asks one of them “which Doobie you be?” Classic 😆
My personal favorite by the Doobie Brothers is listen to the music great classic
That harmonica!!!
This song reminds me of freedom, serious partying, hallucinogenic drugs. Now I'm a great granny!
I'm 60 Mary Anne. I listened to this delivering news papers in the early 70's L O L
@@blackfender100 I'm 65. I find it hilarious that young folks think of older ladies as so sweet and innocent. HAHAHAHA
I think this was before Michael McDonald joined, there sound change some once he was there! My favorite pre-McDonald song is LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!
China Grove and Blackwater......gotta check them out next. Love the Doobie Brothers
Well, that was fun to watch. 👍🏻 I am 61 and saw Doobie Brothers 7-8 times in the 70s and early 80s. They always put on a great show. Having a percussionist and a drummer, 3 guys singing, so many guitars, and keyboards made for very entertaining shows. I prefer the pre-Michael McDonald years, but I think it’s mostly a function of my age and at what point I began listening to them. If I am the tie-breaker, my vote is for China Grove.
I enjoyed seeing the authentic you enjoy this song so much, your reaction was much like my friends and me when we first heard the Doobies. This one is going in my folder of Exceptional Reaction Videos. Thank you!
#NoLimitNation Twon ✊. Great Tune Great Band!
I see how you reacted to the harmonica. Have you ever seen a live performance of Little Stevie Wonder song Fingertips?
There’s nothing else like it.
Without love, where would you be now? Thank you sir!
One of my favorite Doobie songs! Thanks for checking it out!
Michael McDonald was in the band, he sang What A Fool Believes, but this was before he joined the band.
70s rock, not repeatable. It hit us from every angle and side, one after the other, cheap, concerts, no theatrics, justAMAZING music❤ thanks for your review
Love THE DOOBIES Thank you!!!
I remember when this song came out always cranked it up. Great memories hanging out with friends.
Pure country too . SOUTH CITY MIDNIGHT LADY is gorgeous.
Its message stays the same for those who lived it ❤✌️
I was in High School so brings back memories. Great reaction. Try Black Water. Man, they are all good. I loved that you liked the harmonica. ❤️
Love how you have such a good ear
One of the tastiest songs ever ;) I didn't know who did it so, thanks a lot for that video man!
Doobie Brothers had so many hits but this one is my favorite
lol Your reaction made me so happy. Anyone that can sit and listen to this music without moving, doesn't get it. YOU GOT IT! woohoo!
Well more years than I hate to admit it go when I was a young man of 18 I was in San Antonio Texas in the Air Force and to Doobie Brothers gave a free outdoor open-air concert for the military guys so I went ahead and went to that concert and you think this song is good listening to it like you are now an open-air concert when you can be staying in like a foot in front of those badass amplifiers here in that music smack you full on ooh best thing in the world is an open-air concert where you get ride up close to the performers it was really great stuff.
I think the best music is a blend of cultures and styles. Great music talks to you with nothing more than the music itself.
So many brilliant Doobie's songs. China Grove one of their bangers.
The Doobs ruled the 70s.
Doobie Brothers were my parents and I started liking them in the 70s
It's hard to sit still with this record
It's awesome!!
"" (or "") is a song recorded by The Doobie Brothers and written by band member Tom Johnston. It was included on the band's 1973 album and released as a single, becoming a top 10 hit on the US Hot 100, peaking at No. 8
Possibly my favorite Doobie song...it’s got that whole 70’s vibe goin on♥️#DoobieBrosDoinIt
I think you will also like The Eagles, Hotel California.
Great song! Unfortunately gets blocked by most reactors sadly! Usually will only see the Covers of that song reacted to!
Man, I just love how you are enjoying that old-school stuff. It touched my heart, it really did. It’s good stuff. There’s a couple things I, as a musician Born during that time, feel I have to spell out for anyone who was born after about 1990. It’s a little thing but, it’s really easy to overlook if somebody doesn’t point it out sometimes. Here it is: this music is all made up of people making it from scratch with real musical instruments played by real people. It’s very different from a lot of what you get nowadays where everything is electronic and mixed up. For instance, that’s a real drummer there and not a beat machine with pre-programmed rhythms. That’s a real bass player there instead of a keyboard or electronic base groove. Same goes for the guitar player and that out of this world harmonica. And it’s just beautiful the way it all blends together. You felt it because it got you moving. That’s all that heart that goes into it from all the people making it. The other thing I want to point out is that it’s all original. There’s nothing being sampled here from something somebody else made back in the day. This really is music from back in that day! I wish we could get back to that a little bit because I think we’re missing something by not having it anymore. Peace, love and music.
You’d Be Groovin today!🥰
It's hard to beat the 70's for music.
Not since the Righteous Brothers have we heard 'WHITE SOUL' with a black twist.. til now. The Doobie Brothers have earned respect from all genres and crossed over to R&B.
Oh my god, this was so good, my head started going exactly with yours 🤘 Fantastic song by the Doobie Brothers as usual! .
You cannot go wrong with anything by the Doobies.
The Doobie Brothers are GREAT! You should do I Keep Forgetting. They’re great live too.

You're so cute! I really do enjoy your reaction show. I love seeing things again through your enthusiasm from back in the day.
As Petey NY said below, you gotta check out China Grove, (Black water!), Listen to the Music etc. the Doobies were an excellent group, this one in particular is a real heater.
I'm 49 and I grew up on this. These dude jam. And yes doobie means what you think it means😂.
Love me some Doobie Brothers. The J5 song was Stop The Love You Save
The Doobies are one of the best supergroups of all time.
