    Hi Tony your video's are great to watch and learn from. The salt idea is very good. I'm very new to segment turning and struggling with how to arrive at segment length, but, I will get there.
    I notice when your tightening your Jubilee ring that you use something attached with you drill. Ive tried to find info but no success. What did you use and where can I obtain one.
    Thank you. Norman

  • @bradmcnamar5679

    Tony - superb video and explanations! I'm only left with one question. I understand marking the ring middles so the Sepele staggers. What I don't understand is how one can make sure the subsequent rings, as one gets larger rings, are centered on the rings. The rotation can be identified by your shown method, but how do I make sure the rings are centered relative to the smaller ring as I increase in the size of the bowl?

  • @RICKYDENNIS49
    @RICKYDENNIS49 Před rokem

    Very good video thank, I do have one question for you. The strips for in between the main segments, is there any particular reason for choosing to cut the strips cross grain ? Ripping a long strip on a table saw or bandsaw would have been possible. Was your reason to expose side grain on the outer side ? or was there another reason ?

    • @tonymeadley8444
      @tonymeadley8444 Před 4 lety

    Where do you get the segment angle from

  • @gbwildlifeuk8269
    @gbwildlifeuk8269 Před 4 lety

    "A thousands of an inch out and by the time you fit 24 segments it'll be a millimetre out", (approx 40 thou). In engineering it's called cumulative error. The bigger it gets, the larger the error.
