Just hiked Dix from Round Pond the other day, strange to see a monorail of rotten snow once you get off the slide into the woods, but nothing on the higher elevations exposed to sun including the steep section you mentioned. So surprised Macomb Slide at number one, good video.
Climbing up basin is pretty gnarly steep. What about that section?
I checked it out! Because basin is more as a “staircase“ of steep sections, it kind of averages out to only be a 26° grade. 650 feet vertical in .5. It does have a maximum incline at one given moment of 51° however! But that’s for like 30 feet
It doesn’t matter if it’s steep for a inch or a mile, steepness is steepness

Rez of Keene here. We call the backside of haystack the devil’s 3/4 for some reason, and I’m really sorry about the buses. We’re having one issue after another getting them running. And I’m sorry the AMR is the way it is. Most of us don’t like it.
Seems like a lot of the slides would exceed this? Or are you not counting them as trails.
What route are you taking?
I have to second the thumbs up of Liquid-IV. My son got dehydrated in the Philippines in very hot, humid weather. He used LIV to rehydrate and felt alot better in a few minutes. I hesitate to say this but a few weeks ago, I was in Key West and had 3 beers which is alot for me and I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling so great. I decided to take some IIV and felt better right away. Please don’t use this as a justification for binge drinking!

I checked it! I think it was one of the ones that was too close to a lot of the other ones. So I took the more difficult ones instead. I think that one would’ve placed like 6th or something
