    In 2012 Nadal finally beat djokovic after 7 final lost.
    You can hear how much matter for him from his last roar after the ace

    it is remarkably understated how good a clay court player Djokovic is. Except nadal he is almost unbeatable. Almost all his FO losses are against Nadal. It seemed like nadal only had to win the djokovic match to win the FO.

      Facts, if Nadal hadn’t have existed Djokovic would have at least 8 clay slams. Djokovic is definitely the second best clay player of all time, it’s just been overshadowed because of Nadal.

      @@bryceswartz8657 Bro Djokovic literally has the second most amount of clay titles. I know Borg won more RG’s than Djokovic, but Borg didn’t have Nadal to deal with. Djokovic still has more clay titles overall though, so if we are going off the stats then yes, Djokovic is the second best, but don’t get me wrong prime Thiem was a monster on clay, he just wasn’t consistent enough and unfortunately got injured.

    • @justchillin6314
      @justchillin6314 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@bryceswartz8657 Well maybe not the second best winningest player on clay, as Djokovic is 10th on the list for overall clay titles, but prime Djokovic was the biggest challenge for Nadal on clay who is of course the best ever on clay, so yes, in terms of clay success Djokovic isn’t the second best, but at his peak he was capable of beating anyone. In 2011 Djokovic defeated Nadal in 2 back to back clay masters finals which was just unprecedented. As for Thiem? Well Roddick had a 5-4 h2h against Djokovic, but was Roddick a better player than Djokovic? No, so you can’t take much from Thiem leading the h2h against Djokovic on clay. They didn’t play many times on clay, but don’t get me wrong, prime Thiem was a monster on clay, it was just unfortunate he got injured and wasn’t the same after that.

      Also, when we are in the year 2024, we say what is Djokovic doing? He won 3 Grand Slam titles in the 2023 season and he is 36 years old. In fact, Djokovic definitely started using drugs when he felt that his end was near after the end of the 2016 season. Therefore, the 2017 season and half of the 2018 season were disastrous for Djokovic, as he began using steroids at that time.

      Not even close, go back and watch the 2012 AO final between Djokovic and Nadal, Alcaraz and Sinner have come nowhere close to emulating that level and consistency of quality throughout a match, but that’s because the big 3 were a phenomenon, a once in a 1000 year occurrence. Tennis isn’t supposed to be how it’s been for the past 20 years, that’s why it’s a miracle we witnessed this over 20 years. It’s only now tennis is getting back to normal again.
