RIP Saint a true gentleman and a Liverpool legend
4:08 "Make sure you run around enough and you won't be cold."
Probably the most Milner thing ever said.
He says thanks James I'll make sure I do that I said no problem
No, that would be "I might stretch myself out to some ribena"
@@DaProHobbit: Yeah that's what I was going to say.
If you can't support us when we lose or draw, don't support us when we win
Bill Shankly 💪

But you always lose at the end mate 😅😅
Here Iam Nice joke mate we lost 1this season . Ur so funny bro
Here Iam
Davy Jones : do you fear Anfield !!
@@lewis6480 Trophies what i mean bro..not games..you are gonna lose the league and the champions
RIP Mr St John. An incredible scoring record with Motherwell, a fantastic career with Liverpool and Scotland, and ultimately the Saint & Greavsie show. I rememer watching one of his coaching videos, clear and concise. "If you are a left winger, have your left foot on the byline as you can always move forward to the ball, move into the game. And defenders hate it as you have stretched the game." Simple, clear advice. What a player, what a man.
Robbo in the old Scotland kit looks fantastic fits him like glove
I wish we'd get a classic kit made for our team sometime in the near future and they wear it for a few games. It would be so cool
I hope it was washed at some time.
@@ivrishcon-abarth38 if it was worn buy St. John I would never wash it
I think Saint was worried it might get damaged. But Andy Robertson's a good guy and I'm sure he was most careful.
RIP Ian St John, a Liverpool legend.
YNWA!!
I love the little comments he still makes when Robbo and klopp was leaving “get the job done” “keep it going” it’s like he’s never left and is still plying I love it ❤️
DVL ELITE super advice. Little positive reinforcements.
Started watching Liverpool in old 2nd Di
I am a Gooner, but I loved this. A truly great player who was often the straight man foil to Greavsie, but was very funny and humorous himself. Loved how the current players responded to him. Rip Saint, you were a great ambassador to this legendary club.
Based on how he's carried this interview alone - and other contributions - the club should offer Milner a new contract ASAP.
John Odande you was right and we have
Whether we win or lose we love this club and our support shall remain unwavering.
Yes its not about silverware this yr its about beyond this yr... We never expected to be where we are this yr... silverware this yr is a bonus! and is a marker for how we play next yr.... we were 25 pts behind leaders last yr if you told me then we would be competing for 2 top trophies and giving mcity and barcelona a good game as well as being almost untouchable for the entire season I would have bitten your hand off..... Klopp is key he's bringing the good times back..... up the reds YNWA
@@antwango exactly my thoughts. Our team will only get stronger now
What a legend - from a United fan.
Near tears watching this.
What a legend this guy was!
U can see the respect in vvds eyes bout the legend in the end
"Our warm up would be bending down tie our own boots." badass old school footballer 😎
Those little words of encouragement he gives, “Do the business” to Klopp and “Keep it going” to Robertson, you can just tell how much he cared about Liverpool and winning the league. RIP saint.
Luckily enough to have seen the Saint, what a great team that 60's side was.
He was brave, skillfull, and for his size he could outjump any defender and was a tremendous header of the ball.
And age has definately mellowed him, what a feisty character he was in his younger days!
Wow , the social media team at Liverpool is impressive. With each video I’m further endeared to this club. Thank you!
what a gentleman RIP
Be proud of the team you are supporting.... It's an institution... Trophies will be won and lost, but the special tradition and ideals of this club will live on...... YNWA
That's the spirit, kid. And I don't even support Liverpool.
Ian St.John from my home town. His granny and my granny were friends in Motherwell. He went to Calder Primary same school as me. Legend ! and so was the Saint !
“I was the record signing yeah 10 quid”😂😂😂
😭😪🤤😓💔👑💝
He’s still more expensive than Milner 😂
Millie should have said "I broke your record" 😁
Love Saint - what a nice fella. As a young lad you couldn't wait for Saint & Greavsie on a Saturday.
Loved that show
Yea same here...then on a stadium tour i met ian when he was doing a documentary for sky tv, took the time out and chatted for 10mins. Absolute legend.
Agreed sport in question was good as well
I was one of the the highlights of my childhood
Or a young lassie! 😀
That was simply brilliant ! Thanks for sharing. Ian St John ; just love the fella. Him and Greavsie fsntastic duo. Hunt and Ian sensational. What a legend. Really enjoyed Ian back at the club. Great to see him interact with Robbo , Millie, Kloppo. Massive nostalgia. We love you liverpool we do !
Great seeing the great Ian saint john love the way he patted Roger Hunt on the head now that Liverpool side was fantastic team and i love watching them from the kop
Brilliant! Please do more of these with older generation players.
Great to have the Saint back at Melwood. True Legend of the club. Wonderful indeed to hear the old stories.
Milner and Robbo! Absolute legends.... guys supporters can identify with!!
Really enjoyed this LFC thanks! ISJ a true warrior one of Shanks's babies. I think some of recent fanbase forget how long this club and city had to wait to get back into the big time,73 year wait to lift the FA Cup which Shankly always said was his greatest achievement . Klopp is striving to build something similar and if you can't see it then just go and support someone else. YNWA
Rip Saint absolute legend
Chin up red men!!! You’ve been fantastic all season!!! Walk on till the end!!!
I am so proud of our club. Can't remember the last time when someone outplayed Barca on Nou Camp like we did last night, somehow we were so unlucky with scoring. But let's go,everything is possible. YNWA 💜
@@fernandotorres9445 biased ref somehow we can all see on the replays and stuff the barca players pulling at our guys shirts but the ref whos looking at it looks away and says he doesn't see it I dont know bit dodgy there
Ian St John R I P. One of the most important signings in LFC history. 425 matches for LFC. Its fun to hear him speak about good old days, and the way he tap the picture of Roger Hunt 6.40 ......tells more than words. ...Respect from Trondheim Norway
Ian St. John, top quality player who never stopped fighting for a top quality club.
A MAJOR blast from the past. The stories he could tell us about 'the good ole days'; he should team up with old team mates and write a book.
Legend. R.I.P Ian ❤️ YNWA
RIP to a true Liverpool legend
The Saint is the reson why I started supporting LFC and have done ever since.YNWA ever.
I'm (just) too young to remember him playing, but Saint'n'Greavsie was a football standard when I was a kid. Saint is an LFC legend and what a beautiful thing it is to see him with the current LFC players. YNWA.
Felt emotional watching this.
Big up Big E
I’m not old enough to remember Ian St John as a Liverpool player no disrespect when I say that but glad to learn abit about him and more about the club in the past👌
Top man Ian 👍
When he taps Roger Hunts picture on the head... his old partner in crime.
Graeme Murphy III Ah I know, reminded me of the old joke about what was the longest goal scored by Liverpool.... Ian St John from Hunt’s cross 😊
Yes,nice touch that
I loved that pat on RH head.
Roger Hunt was a classy player.
Died in August 2021😂
What a wonderful video to watch on a Sunday morning. The Saint walking around Melwood. Greatest football club in the World.

Who is back here after hearing the great man has died ?
This video brought tears to my eyes. That little Scotsman was one of my hero's when I was a young boy, and It's so wonderful to see that he is still alive and kicking. God bless you Ian and all the other lads that you played with back in the 1960's/70's, and I know that we seem to be losing one or two of those lads as time passes. Tommy (The Flying Pig) Lawrence, Tommy (The Anfield Iron) Smith, Gerry Byrne and Peter Thompson to name but a few.
I am here after our epic comeback against Barcelona. Looking at all the positive and supportive comments here 5 days ago, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and think this is what is special about this team and suporters. Love you guys and congratulations. YNWA!!
Saint & Greavsie two legends best TV show ever Ian St John Ynwa96
When Robbo emerges with old Scotland kit 💙
Saint - not just a Liverpool legend but a British football legend. Saint & Greavsie was such a big part of being a football fan in the 80s.
Ian was a great player. His wonderful skill was matched by his courage.
Everyone thinks that famous and rich athletes are somehow different from the rest of us. But still, I bet this was one of the coolest moments in Robertson's life - getting to wear a historical jersey personally shared by a player like Ian dating back 50 years.
Doing things like this has a greater impact that just these videos. For players, being able to meet legends from 50 years ago who they see on the wall every day, who won trophies in the past, who dedicated their lives to the club for (comparatively) pennies, must have some significant impact. I think that the efforts the club takes to help connect us to our history must have some impact on the mentality we have today.
Yes sir!!!!!
R.I.P legend 😥
The Saint is a proper LFC legend. Bona fide.
should be an open door always to guys like him.
It is
theres a picture of him behind it ...

Always have faith. Coz its not the frst time Liverpool are 3-0 in a UCL game
Let’s go again reds nest week
jjust dont dream too big. if messi is on the other team its over. 4 goals against barca? dont see it
UCL Comebacks this year were: atletico vs juve... oh wait ronaldo is in juve, it was 2-0 on aggregate not 3-0 and they got a penalty soooo
nikkibrie holic have you watched champions leagues games in your life. Stop saying never because anything can fucking happen in this tournament. Doesn’t matter what player that team has, nothing is guaranteed.
@@leeguardiola9376 you seem to forget the Roma second leg game last year against barca lol
@@thefun6491 no i didn't, but barca are much different this year. and last year it was an equaliser where rome won on away goals. this time the second leg is in home. i hope liverpool win because they deserve it A LOT but i just don't see barca conceding no goals and liverpool conceding at least 4. even if they concede 4 what if barca score a late goal?
What a gent. RIP Ian St. John
Saint we love you Humble down to earth no snob approach. LFC THROUGH & THROUGH.
I really hope we keep Milner for another year
Last night hurt. It's supposed to hurt so when the ecstasy comes back we feel it all the more I could not be prouder of the boys. Seen the great times lived through the painful times. Right now is a very special time for our beloved club. Through it all we follow our team because "This Means More" YNWA
be happy now♥️🙏
Rip, just come back to watch this
The Saint so so special to people of my age who were at school when he played . His chant from the Kop , taken over by the King when he arrived in 77 .
Clever timing for the visit! Hope that has pulled the squad back on their feet and help them to defeat Barcelona
RIP ❤️🏴 YNWA
James Milner is a top top bloke. With the care and ownership he is conducting this you would think the guy's been here last 20 years. No wonder the team is sticking this well. All the guys seem to have bought into the spirit of the club.
This brought a tear to my eye, so glad was I to see the Saint meeting a new Scot making his name at the club, and some of our other stars. His warmth, wit and modesty were always the mark of the man. The club’s history of fielding talent from the home nations was always our strength and kept us well grounded. Such legends will never age in our memories, and for me they are what LFC are all about. Proud to be a fan. YNWA
RIP Ian ♥ YNWA ♥
RIP Ian St John, legend♥️
Great to see Ian St.John looking so well😘 ....long may it continue. Total LFC Legend❤️ YNWA Saint.
Brilliant article on Ian St John going back to Melwood. Please do more of these!!
2:50 This brief conversation shows you why Klopp will never bring in a head-case like Neymar, talented though he may be. "Prima donnas need not apply."
Lovely man and a truly great player. RIP - you’re in the right place now, Saint.🍀 Bhoys.
Great to see the saint. Thankyou Mr St john for my Auntie Lauras signed photo. She abosolutly loved it. Top man. YNWA
Gotta love Millie, what a man what a player, he's as brilliant as Klopp himself. So underrated.
Up the reds!
As a Scotsman, loved seeing St John & Robertson together 👍
Peek aboo l would love to see Robertson change passports and play for England. ⚒
Very sad to hear the news of his passing today. What a lovely, lovely man.
Yes, such sad news
I love Liverpool and the team and the whole tradition the club and Liverpool have love from Scotland ❤👍✌
Rest in peace, The Saint.
we should treat our legends well. love this kind of video to remind our heros.
Amazing film. Sooo good. Watched with a smile on my face the whole time.
Great to see the Saint back on his feet. He was from my dad's era and I enjoyed every moment of this video!
Ian St John was a very underrated presenter on tv.
Scottish players and Liverpool FC
No better partnership
Just need a Welshman(harry Wilson)
And I’ll add Irish players to that. We’ve had a great connection to Liverpool over the years. Not so much recently
Yes, but Shankly ever said with Humor, never line up more than three Scots otherwise you are in trouble 😊

"I have drilled it into these players, they are proud to play for You" Bill Shankly
One of THE most rousing speeches i've EVER heard from anyone... Including the great man
Shanks where the dynasty all began the no 1 legend a great man and a true socialist
What a fantastic character the Saint is- so funny, so sharp witted. He is intelligent, strong, and he was so talented as a player. If the rest of the team were made of that kind of stuff you can see why LFC dominated the league for so long.
Another ANFIELD legend who'll go down in history with all the other Liverpool football club's legends we are Liverpool YNWA
Just Keep believing, Remember istanbul and Roma V Barca Go On The Reds
His death was so sad
@25s "good combo.." - milner - legend!
fab piece. look how much respect and love the current players have for The Saint - they know who he is, what he achieved, and exactly what he represents.
RIP Saint. Few gave more for the cause. Glad he got to see one last title.
Its good to see some smiles after yesterday's defeat.
We still have one more chance to fight and win Barca in next week. Also seems like have very little chance, But I still keep praying 🙏 for our team to have miracle happens on that day for the Kops. YNWA! 👌👌💕💕💕😆😆
We got your miracle, all our dreams came true,,, ynwa
RIP, Mr Ian St John. Liverpool icon
I think it is moments like this when actual players talking to true icons that they realize what a mighty club and what a big history they are part of. And now they have written their own part of that history with winning #6. By being involved in this club, let it be player, manager or supporters, you truly never walk alone.
By studying the past, we learn how to improve
The legend returned
Which one tho?
