Much respect to these surgeons and Drs. I had this procedure done last month and I must admit, I really didn't realize how complicated this procedure seems to be to perform. When I seen the results on a X-ray, I truly just thought a rod was placed next to my broken femur while a few screws held it in place. Again, much respect to these surgeons, Drs and nurses.

@@miracleviem I truly don't. All I remember is when they hit me with the needle, then waking up afterwards. Sorry I couldn't give you details, I wish I could answer that question but I don't know the answer.

I wish my son would help me with brittle bone syndrome, and I want to operate on whatever material it's made of and whether it lasts with age.

@@miracleviem well patient should be kept hungry and thirsty for 12 hours, during this time patient can't drink or eat anything just to make sure during surgery patient doesn't feel vomiting after that it's upto surgeon how long they take
For my brother they take like 2 hours and he was kept hungry for 24 hot again for after effect of surgery
And now he is on bed rest for 3 months and will take 3 months more to heal

I had this surgery done 9 years ago and it’s been causing me a lot of pain when I walk is there anything I can do to remove it. It hurts especially in the cold or when I walk too much. Doctor told me it was staying in for life but I’ve heard it could be removed.
