Mam wrażenie, że tegoroczne rykowisko było słabsze niż w zeszłym roku. Zapewne wpływ na to miała temperatura powietrza. Jelenie nie lubią wysokich temperatur, zanim robiło się widno schodziły do swoich ostoi.
Dodatkowo większość akcji działa się w kukurydzy.
Na koniec ostatnia składowa: polowania dewizowe. Odbywały się praktycznie codziennie; ranki i wieczory.
Wielokrotnie mocno spóźnieni podjeżdżali samochodem w sam środek jeleniej areny płosząc wszystko w promieniu kilkuset metrów. Rozpoczęcie polowań równało się osłabnięciu rykowiska - dosłownie.

Many times, they were very late, they drove right into the middle of the deer rut arena, scaring everything within a radius of several hundred meters. The start of the hunt meant that the rut was weakening - literally.
