  • BMW Headlight Lamp Washer Fix E90 E92 Sprayer Nozzle: DIY
After trying to repair/fix my original washer and it going bad with in a few months, i need to find a better solution. After searching i couldn't believe how cheap a new aftermarket washer nozzle was. In this video i go through installation process and take apart the original to show why they simply wont last forever.

This is a great video and I’ve just done this job today. I would add that if you have fog lights and the ducting (MSport models perhaps as my car is) it’s a little more than fiddly! You will need to pry the duct off the brake ventilation channel - there is a button type fixing right behind the grill / mesh and separate that from the other ducting and then when separated wriggle it past the fog light. The oil cooler will need to be tied back as far as you can safely do it without stressing the fixings so that you can squeeze you hand in and flat bladed screwdriver. The issue is getting to the tab on the far side of prying it up as you are doing it blind. An hour later I got there and then back to this video which is as I say a great explanation. HTH!

Truth be told, I do not even know if mine work. I bought mine 1,5 years ago. Never seen anything spraying. Unlike my E60, where it was very evident and spectacular.

Awesome video..just purchased a used 640i xdrive and the drivers side is not retracting unless you physically nudge it back in. Can't very well do that while you're driving so looks like a new one is in order before I lose the cover as well. Very informative and detailed video..thx again. 👍

Thank you for detailed video. My cars passenger sides headlight washer cover fell off while washing the car. And I don’t see the headlight washer system behind it. Is there an option that the car doesn’t have the washer system?

If you fit a small UK, or extra large US and the rest of Europe condom, over the unit, cutting off the teet, and secure it with two cable ties, before refitting, it keeps the shit from getting in, and acts as a gaiter, I got the idea, from how you avoid the problem, on motorcycle forks. Also the US army used it to stop the M15 and M16 jamming in dessert and jungle combat....gas recoil weapons are vulnerable. Be sure to expel as much air as you can before sealing it at both ends.

  • @QuintessentialEvolution

Thanks brother for the advice ... Would you know how to remove air out of the system? My washers aren't retracting back all the way after removing the bumper and all the water leaked out ... Much appreciated on any advice

Hi.Luckily ive found both my covers and the short hose sections on the road next to my car. We've had a really sub zero cold spell for about a week and i had noticed they were slightly raised since being used days ago.Hoping they were just frozen and would retract once they thawed out.Sadly no,they popped off.The video makes fitting look reasonably easy but i noticed the construction of yours behind the plate is different to mine.I have a 2007 uk plated 320i m sport, what is the year / model in the video please? Thanks in advance.

@@MaxyICT I would imagine you're only able to code out the arm coming out, as the washer fluid is obviously all from the same reservoir so gets used in a circuit so to speak, I assume.

Any ideas if/how these can be taken apart without breaking them? To clean and replace the o-ring on the piston. (Asking since I can't get a new one locally and would have to wait for a 2 weeks for it, and by that time I'm sure my cover will be lost)

This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.

Hi, great Video! You could also try to change the washer through the engine compartment from above. Worked in my case on the left (Drivers) side. If interested, put this through Googl. Translator. Greetings from Heidelberg:
Good Luck
