As a player as this game, I NEED to tell everyone how it works.
This is NOT a normal “battlegrounds” game. You can’t team, that’s stupid and people hate it (teaming is when you interrupt a 1v1 or attack someone if they attack your friend) if you team in this game your seen as a incompetent child. So don’t team, it’ll save you a lot of sanity.
Next is that you have to be locked on, shift lock will never work, it’s much easier just to use lock on.
Next is that you can’t rag doll cancel. I know everyone’s all flabbergasted, angry, purge this game for good fighting mechanics that make the game more fair. You also can’t block forever, you can get perfect blocked, and you can be dodged. Phase two’s are a thing, so I repeat, THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL BATTLEGROUNDS GAME.
I played this game awhile ago and I was called a teamer for fighting someone and then some random ass person joined in then the person thought I was a teamer

I'm and old player of Alternate Battlegrounds and a very skilled veteran, I can say one thing.
Beware of teamers. (Even though if you get teamed on, You won't lose anything.)
I currently have over 1.4K+ kills so I pretty much know a lot.

This game was inspired very heavily off of Soulshatters, so be sure to check that game out as well.
It is unfortunately discontinued and has very heavy combo/stun based combat, relying mostly on m1s and combo-extenders.

Its really nice to see when famous youtubers give recognition to the beauty of this game for the first time, i wish to see more alternate battlegrounds contents fr
a few things need to be said here
1. if you are in a 1v1 with someone and another player join in that is teaming and no one likes that so go for the person that interupted then finish off the other player
2. as sans or ssc (story shift chara) have a dodge bar when it runs out you die as sans but for ssc you go onto your next phase, ssc has 3 phases with the last phase you lose hp but have high dmg that goes down over time.
3 before going into a game go to the settings and turn on reset after kill to make you go back to your first phase or get your hp back.
4 private server only have the custom characters that only the devs and private servers have no one else can get them and are not free.
5. if you are seen kill farming with a friend or alt acc you will loose your data in game.
6.dont beg for things such as: event skins, kills or custom characters cause you will not get them.
i believe that should clear some things if i missed any feel free to comment under this and add one.

its actually a fan game of another roblox game called soulshatters. soulshatters was an undertale fighting game made years ago and is long past dead now, so there are lots of these fangames that take its place.

There's also another undertale battleground game called undertale test place reborn,I recommend you checking that one.
Ps:when you are in a private server keeping press the save point star that's on the title until it takes you to choosing a name then type the name "Frisk". You'll unlock a private server character.

I played this game when it 1st released. God the memories flodding in and how x sans (cross) was so hype. This is definetly still a top standing battlegrounds game
Tips!
Pressing R will teleport you a long distance, used for closing gaps and extending with certain skills
Press F right before an opponent's M1 lands to perfect block (Stuns your opponent)
Epic this must be really good and this is fun😮
Here is a good combo for XFrisk: start with four LMB hits then use N5 then full LMB then run up to the opponent and use N1 then use N2 then N3 then use N4 then use O2 then try and use O3 ( Might not land). O3 is a debuff btw.
This was the first battlegrounds game i played and afterwards i STARTED searching for other battleground games

Okay so your a starter the special moves I recomend that you only do them when your enemy is down on the floor because that tipe of move is more of a special or ultimate (they can block it if they are standing up)
This actually made before tsb and is a fan game inspired by soulshatters wich I played I bit to much when it was still popular, people stopped playing soulshatters because it became a buggy mess but it’s fixed rn so go see game, its truly worth trying the original masterpiece

this game was inspired by the game called soulshatters, soulshatters was one of the first battlegrounds games that were good at the time it had about 10k players playing but for some reasons in the team the game discontinued and now what sustains this game is the fans -games from soulshatters. (Note: don't try to play soulshatters, it's quite buggy because it hasn't been updated for a long time) games that are in the same style: AB (you played) and undertale: test place reborn in this two games the characters have skins, to get skins you have to kill players to buy it
There was this other game with like Papyrus and Ink sans and stuff. I can't remember the name anymore.

Alternate Battlegrounds is fun but i recommend utpr (undertale test place reborn) you need to kill 5 people to get admin characters but i recommend it, more info about utpr there is lock-on its alternate battlegrounds but less polished and better mechanics

actually the game is not exactly a battlegrounds but it is a fangame of an old game called soulshatters that stopped receiving updates and it was a long time before the battlegrounds

There is a form of Law when it comes to Alternate Battleground. Not really an actual Law but many pvp players go by it. It is if you dare to jump into someone who's already fighting somebody else, you are a criminal by heart. Nobody likes to be 1v2'd on especially when you clearly struggling already with a 1v1 ;-;
Just remember that. Because man I remember some people teaming on random dudes. The entire server jump them back.
It’s the best feeling when someone jumps in to attack you and then you and the person you were fighting both turn around a beat them the hell up. And then just continue like nothing happened.

AB has been here since a few years before strongest, i played it, its pretty good but its not a "true battlegrounds game" since strongest battlegrounds essentially redefined what a battlegrounds game is

Also, if you wanna be better at the game, just know that by getting attacked often, observe what combo they have and try to replicate it. The more veterans to attack you, the more you will learn.

It’s a soulshatters fan game. Soulshatters was made a couple years ago, and it doesn’t get updates anymore. There’s a lot of them. There’s no awakenings. It’s phases. They’re based on Undertale, and it’s alternate universes. Also, X!Frisk is a guy.
You want to know a real secret battlegrounds game? Soulshatters although the game is nearly dead and hard to consider it battlegrounds material, it’s the one that started it all.

Fun fact: There is a tactic in this game that includes counters and I don’t know why this isn’t used in other battlegrounds games
If someone is m1 comboing you, block, then use the counter while they are hitting you. This will activate the counter and can catch them off guard.

This game is older than strongest battlegrounds, cause it's a fangame of soulshatters, also remember you cab use wasd with telekinesis to move the players, u can do 2 hits 4 of bones 3 hits dash 5 of bones 3 of bones while player flying 1 of gasters wheb he touch the ground 2 of gaster after 1 then teleport and 1 of bones. Heres a good tip for sans
telekinisis is controlable
What i mean is that you can control which direction the person can go by using WASD keys or the arrow keys
i use down keys cuz it pins the person on the ground and can be used for some combos
Like telekinisis (down)+ ULT (you need to press the ULT once you do telekinisis down)
And also telekinisis (down) + bones 4
also by the way, this is ONE of the first alternate battlegrounds and its not the first but its one of the first. and also it inspired literally almsot all battlegrounds games
I would suggest Undertale Test Place Reborn, but play the free private servers and practice on bots, as the people in the main game have fused characters, OP characters, some people team a lot, and etc. For character wise, I'd prefer Sans as a goat fighter, Undyne as the rushdown close combat combo fighter, or Asgore as a tank with a broken skill. Chara is a good character for a larger set of different abilities, but their HP isn't the absolute best. The new character Atomic Disassembler is by far the strongest hitters, but never underestimate their HP, they can heal and all their abilities have good knockback, and a jump version of each one! First skill + jumping can do up to 120 damage on a bot!
Edit: Asgore's broken skill is the first attack for "Trident" It basically is a good ranged attack, and it removes the ability for your opponent to use any skills for a few seconds, giving you a perfect chance to rush in and combo them. I also find it cool in Asriel's second phase with the "Souls" moveset, you can spawn your opponent's friends to use every skill. Also the multiple phases is pretty crazy. Undyne can have a ton of phases if you are smart, use "Transform" in second phase to gain a massive speed, strength, and ability boost. Use the 7th skill(hold) to go back to second phase but with some resistance thanks to the armor. May I request a slight 1v1 perhaps? User: BonnieBae228X

This guy jumped random person who fighting, basically doing a 2v1 and somehow able to get away with it. (Usally you don't get away with it)
The sad thing is, as a veteran of this game, this game will never be updated cuz of one drama that made the team dont update the game and the last update was the sans telekinesis better for mobile.
And the game after that drama made just one developer working in the game.
And now its just a dead game.
Maybe in the future it will get updated.
