How Blest, How Happy Is the Man - Psalm 1 CANAAN (Johnson) - Treasury 3

- 1. 1 How blest, how happy is the man
Not bent by evil trends,
Nor caught up by what scoffers do,
Nor bound to wicked friends.
2 He values what God’s law commands
And makes it his delight.
He searches out the will of God
And follows what is right.
2. 3 This man is rooted like a tree
Beside a wholesome stream;
His branches always yield good fruit,
His foliage stays green.
All that he does will prosper well.
4 The wicked are not so,
But, scattered by the wind like chaff,
Are driven to and fro.
3. 5 Upon the final threshing floor
No godless men will stand,
Nor will they be among the grain
God gathers in His hand.
6 He guides His own upon right ways
And brings them safely home;
But all who take the evil way
Are going to their doom.
