Depending on the region, following the same link, you might be sent to fill a form managed by SheerId (which will be checked by SheerID) or to a page where you will be to search the local partner in your country and see if they can offer Student Licenses. If they do, you will have to contact them to request a license.

I completed the registration process using my Office email and successfully obtained a 14-day free trial of Lumion Pro. I am wondering if I need to cancel the trial before it expires to avoid my office management discovering my use of it. Please let me know
When you start a trial, you are not requested any payment detail. When the trial ends, you won't be able to access the software and that is it. No charges or attempts of charging.
This is not new at all fyi. Luminous for students has always had a 1 year license for free for students and then you re-verify your student status every year to get the latest version of Lumion. I have been using lumion since 2019 as a student for free based on the process you explained.

Patched... the URL doesn't work and it looks like they require you to send a formal request to get a student license

You will have to create a new account using different email as old email has already been registered.
