Yes we are...sadly. Kids these days have zero rules, constantly being told that they're nothing but slightly-evolved animals, truth doesn't exist, and God never has. But the same folks who spread all these lies are then stunned, when one of their kids walks into a school like the Terminator and murders anyone in sight. If anything, these constant tragedies are a constant reminder that without God and parents who listen to Him, every child is very likely to become a monster. We are fallible, finite, fouled-up beings who are selfish in our core...and only Jesus can change that. It starts in the home, though...so when parents and elders fail, another child is made into a ticking time-bomb.

It's insanity to believe a human without God is nothing but a heathen or is doomed to become a monster. THAT is one big problem in this country.

I remember watching Dennis every Friday night after reading for hours preparing for graduate school. It was a refreshing time to listen to his honest and poignant take on current topics. I agree with this rant; however with other rants, agree or disagree, I respect his forthrightness, honesty, and his willingness to "put himself out there" for critique. We need more honest rants and HUMOR!
Miller has a deep humanity to him, and it feels visceral and real when he shows it. Most who know him see douche, know-it-all, “right-winger,” and his dryness which is mistaken for frivolity, but not enough can make it through to see what a special entertainer he is. I only wish he’d get his real due one of these days. It was either him or Bill Maher and Maher won.
He is very right that parents should be as attentive and caring as possible, but I must point out that when someone turns out badly, it isn't always the parents' fault. Simply put, there are just a million and one variables in a person's life over which the parents only have so much control. The parents can try to steer their kids in the right direction, but when push comes to shove, 99% of life's lessons we as individuals really have to figure out for ourselves.

My parents were so involved in my business I couldn't see straight, now most parents wouldn't know their own kids. They check out from their kids and hook into Facebook or social media and don't care to be bothered.

Dennis was like Henry Rollins on these old 90s rants using razor sharp wit and a mix of humor and commentary. Wish he had stayed more like this.
