    So sorry this happened to you. You are a beautiful lady and deserved better.
    I’m ten days post tummy tuck and so far everything is fine. My Doctor was very strict. My BMI had to be 30 or under. Also pretty close to my ideal weight for my height. Done with having kids. Active lifestyle. He was very truthful and went over all the complications. He has been doing them for over 30 years and I read a lot of his past patients before and after experiences. Please do your research, this is major surgery and complications can happen to anyone.

    Sorry but this is a negligence case. He owed you a duty of care to explain to you the risk involved, especially that being over weight is likely to lead to complications. . 'My doctor and I are cool, so I was never going to sue him'... This is a business transactions. Your life was at risk. He has insurance for these very things. When are we going to learn?

    • @eboniebo1367
      @eboniebo1367 Před 4 lety +1

      Actually he did. I signed off on all those consents prior to surgery that explain the risk I’m great detail including necrosis and yes I said I’m not going to sue him. I’m not money hungry most of all I have my life. That’s what matters to me.

      @@eboniebo1367 Good for you. Even if you signed an agreement, there are unfair contract terms that can still be challenged. For example, we have Unfair Contract Terms Act here in the UK. Just because something is in the contract, does not mean it cannot be challenged if it is grossly unfair. I accept you may not have such protection, but if it is commonly known that overweight people are overwhelming likely to develop necrosis and he did not inform you that you must lose weight and he went ahead anyway, this is a clear case of negligence. Its not about being money hungry. You took a lot of time off work. Your family life suffered as a result. Its called restitution. Putting you back in the position you were in before this incident occurred as a result of his negligence. Things like this is why we as black people stay with no generational wealth as we accept 'sorry' or 10% off vouchers as damages when we are legally wronged, we accept and bear the cost. This is why we are not respected as we do not know or play the rules of the game. This is not how the world works. The laws are there for a reason. This could never happen to another race or an educated person. I'm a non practicing lawyer so I do see things differently. Please, this is no shade. Hopefully someone else can learn from this. Good luck to you.

    Ladies please get BMI to at least 30 for this. Try to get weight as low as possible. Because the risks are so much higher the bigger you are.
    Here's the problem with being too big. More fat has to be taken and the more fat taken the higher the complications.
    Many doctors won't even perform the surgery with high BMI, or too much overweight.
    Ladies take care of yourself.

    • @eboniebo1367
      @eboniebo1367 Před rokem

      That’s actually not the problem about more fat being taken. There’s only a certain amount that can be removed legally on EVERYONE. Skinny or fat.
