- hey guysss, today I wanted to show y'all my updated curly hair routine 2021!! this is the wash and go routine that i'll be using for the rest of the summer:) i made sure to make this vid super detailed and i showed y'all every little step i do to achieve this wash and go! hopefully this helped some of y'all with curly/natural hair :)

Do you know what your hair cut is called?😭
My 4 year old daughter has an extremely similar hair type as yours so I'm trying the products you recommended....1st Day turned out great! However for the next day there was some frizz, should re-wet & add more product?
can you explain what you do to maintain it during the week? or do you do this every day?
I hate my curls. I always think my curls are dead but it turns out that it might just be my curl pattern. it feels so amazing to see someone with the same curls as myself. I almost shaved my hair just to regrow it and get my "natural" curls. I'm so glad I didn't make that mistake. I'm so happy to see someone with almost the same hair type

I'm glad you didnt you just need to know how to give it TLC. Trust me I want to do the big chop cause my front pattern is loose 😢 but I'm still hanging in there

@@user-rs1rz7hh7w no it's just because my mom used to but my hair in one tight that the front start to lose it's curling pattern. And I think it as a teenager not knowing that that stuff can definitely make you loose your curling pattern

I stopped getting perms and my natural curls came back and I have no clue what to do with it but this helped a lot!

While she’s most likely referring to a relaxer to straighten her hair, a perm in curly hair is basically a Jheri Curl.

i hate day 1 to because its always flat i usually get better curls around day 3, for me day 2 is still undefined than from day 4 or 5 frizz sets in lol

I am 4c and my daughter is 3c/4a like you. It's taken me years to realize that although she has my DNA our hair needs two totally different curl techniques. What moisturizes our hair and makes it grow is the same, but my defined wash and go twirl technique doesn't work for her. Thanks for the assist. I will be doing praying hands and your curling products from now on. :)
I use to love that shampoo idk what shea moisture has done to their ingredients but they should’ve left it alone.

- so i’ve tried a denman brush before and it personally doesn’t work well in my hair 🤷🏽♀️but i’ve seen it do great things in other peoples hair!!
- i think because of how dense and thick my hair is, it usually ends up being frizzy when i try to diffuse. i also don’t have the patience to do it lol
- i used to use oils but i kind of eased them out of my routine. no specific reason, i just didn’t find them to be completely necessary. my hair is pretty much the same with and without additional oils! also, most hair products already contain a lot of oils!!

The African Pride - Moisture Miracle line is sooo good!! I literally just found it. I used the {African Pride , Curling Cream}, {Camille Rose, Curl Maker}, and the {Satinique, Texture Wax} and it is literally the product combination i've ever used. My wash and go lasted TWO WEEKS. I just styled my curls using the African Pride, Leave-in Cream, Curl Cream and Curl Defining Gel. I want to see if the line will work even better together.

i honestly don't follow a specific "schedule" when it comes to trimming. i just trim whenever i notice that my ends are thinner and whenever i feel like my layers need to be touched up!

I’m in SHOCK!!! So I’ve grown up with my white family that don’t know shit abt curly hair 💀 and so basically I showered every other day and used the golden bottle of suave conditioner(cant think of what it’s called atm) everyday after setting it with a spray bottle. Im 14 now and want to learn how to maintain it in a healthy way and I have NO CLUE how to manage it! So I’m assuming you do not wash ur hair every other day so how many times do you do this routine? I’ve recently been trying Aveda and idk if it’s truly helping.
Do you have any tips on how to begin a routine like this? (Sorry this was lengthy lol)

sorry for the late reply, but i wash my hair once a week!!! so definitely start off with that, and make sure you’re taking the time to really detangle and hydrate your hair (i deep condition every wash day). as far as products go, it really is just a trial and error process to find what works for you!!

with this wash and go routine, i’m able to just take it out of the bun and shake it out every morning (like how i showed in the video). towards the end of the week, if certain pieces start to get frizzy, i just wet that specific piece and put a little product on it (i only do this to specific curls, not big sections)
Contrary to popular belief, there’s nothing wrong or damaging about washing curly hair every day. It either works for you or it doesn’t. You’re welcome to explore other routines, just know that whatever problems you were experiencing (if you were having problems) wasn’t due to daily washing.

Hey Cherry, everyone's hair is different and even within the "3c" type, there are so many variations with things like curl pattern, thickness/ hair density, porosity, and length. So don't worry too much if your hair differs from others with the same type. Just make sure to keep loving your God-given natural curls!
