I am here because i was watching a gamechamp challenge video and realized that she hasnt done any monster hunter stuff so i searched for monster hunter challenge runs and scrolled till i found this vid 👌

Basically yeah. That's like saying you doing an (almost) impossible challenge with Pokemon by taking no hits from any moves vs no damage runs. In this case as I'm watching so far, 24:09 should of been a fail since he got hit. Regardless if it did no damage.
@@kingdombladesventus that was a wind pressure wave from the attack, it was the same as getting interrupted by a roar, it's not actually getting hit by anything

@@kingdombladesventus all good, but yea it's closely related to basically tripping over, or stumbling if you walked out of a building into a strong gust of wind, it can leave you open to a followup attack though, which would definitely end the run haha
Rise’s mobility is to its benefit as much as it can be keeping you on your toes trying to not get hit by the monsters. Honestly I can’t get enough of the combat and it’s endlessly satisfying in all Monster Hunter titles. This was a nice video, cheers
As a person who liked Monster Hunter World & Iceborn, I *REALLY* wanted to play rise but was very hesitant to get it only for it to not be something that would stick with me or something that would make me drop whatever expectations from Monster Hunter as a whole for the foreseeable future, but seeing people like you giving it your all to giving a try & make it as challenging & fun as the game was made to be just makes me happy people still try despite all the somewhat bad things people say about it.
I feel people overexaggerate it being "bad." I prefer world, but rise is still an incredible experience with some awesome monsters to hunt, and isn't that really what it's all about?
tbh i think insect glaive would also have been a good choice, you have powder kinsect for ranged damage + suuuuper high mobility and fairly safe melee attacks w/ good silkbinds for a no hit
Insect Glaive main here. I was also thinking about that. I'm not as versed in Rise (yet), though, so I figured it played so differently that it wouldn't be viable somehow.
no its great! the only main concern is that the hitboxes are a little wonky sometimes so while in the air i get hit by things that i shouldnt get hit with.
This is a friendly tip for all because I see it so often in videos. You can tranq prior to the monster stepping in the trap. It seems like it stays up to a minute. Save yourself from wasting a trap by tranqing first and then trap when its in a good spot
GGs on finishing low rank, now head over to the hub quests and do high rank. Btw for LBG I heavily reccomend using more than just normal ammo. With the right build LBG can crank out some insane damage, and ngl watching you hit normal 1 ammo for like 3-4 damage was painful lol. Enjoyed watching the video though, keep up the good work!
Trying this challenge when you haven't even beat Magnamalo before is ballsy. With monster moveset experience and correct builds I believe this could be done by Longsword and Lance mains too.

@@AmmonTekYou'd be surprised how many people have the misconception of thinking the Lance is sluggish and immobile, are they even playing the same weapon?
Before this game the only monster hunter game id ever played was tri on the wii back in the day, jesus i just flashbacked to picking it up on an xbox controller when you mentioned the time spent adapting, glad i wasnt the only one that struggled like that!
@@AmmonTek definitely not as well as you did! But I was pretty happy with how well I adapted to my big old bonk stick on a controller Only took me about 100 hours to get comfortable haha
So just a little FYI you can use the lil bug friend there to launch yourself in an arch forward, not only is this a great way to dodge, but you could also use it to give yourself a double jump by firing a mine while in midair, even better, if the mine hits the monster it will stick to it like a stickynade :p
If I could suggest a new challenge, I would recommend doing the challenge I am doing in MHGU called the Alchemy Master Challenge. The general idea is that, other than a few situations, you can only use Alchemy Style, limited items, and if anyone wanted to help you on the challenge, they would have to follow the rules of the challenge when helping you. If you want the full details, I can link the google document containing the challenge.
out of all monster "types" the small "bear" class monsters are seriously most unfun hunt i have, whenever i have to hunt them Goss-harag is a great hunt. even tho its a "bear" monster
You should challenge high rank damage less. That is, if you enjoyed yourself enough with low rank. Different monsters at times. Maybe don't worry about the duplicates? Up to you. Good job though!!! You did it!! Thanks for the video!
You would have made your life so much easier, if you use your silk bind attacks. Quite literally you would never get touch with fanny Miniver and vault. And I would have rushed the great iszi light bow gun, rapid lv 1 prec,then the nargacuga bow gun lv 2 prec rapid. For that amor I would recommend woggi, it has lv 2 ammo up, lv 2 evade extraer, and lv 2 rapid shot, I believe. A really good amor set for light bow gun I haven't finished the vid yet but I hope you get some of this things before the end of the run

After all, village quests in Rise end kind of apruptly just when the game starts picking up a bit of pace, long before the actual conclusion to the story, and then there's still also all of Sunbreak. Nevertheless, still a good job, mate, especially considering that most of it was a blind run.

Well glad to be the runner you love though lol, also after I got hit, I abandoned the quest which makes you lose everything from that quest including drops, but all ammo spent is lost. So in other words it's a lose lose. So it's not a save revert but I didn't restart the entire game every time.
This run feels incomplete. You said it, high rank is missing. And after Magnamalo you got only the first credits. And it’s not really a complete run, you reseted only the quest. A complete no damage run would be a restart from the beginning after each hit or tick of dmg. And Sunbreak would have you’re new nemesis, Tobi and Magnamalo are quite cute in comparison to some monsters which are waiting in sunbreak 😅.
the rampages was the worst part of the game for me. they are very slow and just not fun after the first one, i liked worlds version of the rampage a lot more
unfortunately, you were doing village quests instead of hub quests The village quests are the easier of the two, and to progress to high rank, you have to do hub quests, I love your video btw!

The HUB quests are high rank after you get to hr 4

Most of this run was blind and first run of the game, so it was still all new to me, at this point im better but deff not the best!

Back in 4U, the hammer was pretty slow to me, and in Rise the mobility its crazy now!

No, i abandoned the quest and tried again, since if you abandon, you keep nothing and lose the ammo you already spent.

Based on your health and stamina why don't you eat before fights or I'm wrong
Correct, i dont! reason being all it does is raise my Max HP and since if i lose a single HP i have to restart, so i didnt see any reason to eat
