Nobody can play a bass like that and sing so great as Jean Millington!, She never ceases to amaze me,,, love these ladies
Ever hear of this guy named Paul McCartney?
@@generalyellor8188he can't play like she can. Beatles are better song writers than musicians.
Check out Larry Graham.
Les Claypool says hello
Love y'all so much! Sorry I missed your 70's trip. Love that Funk! Filipina Rock rockin the world!!!
This is what 50 + years of rock and roll talent sounds like. They forgot more about rock and roll than most bands today ever learned in the first place. Killer rhythm.
KILLER rhythm:)) thanks
@@JuneEsWorld You are so so welcome! Rock on June! You are THE best.
Generan tanta admiración....eran perfectas en los comienzos....hoy son una leyenda.... admiración y respeto....un abrazo grande desde el sur más sur del planeta...la Argentina....larga vida al rock and roll.
@@JuneEsWorld
Hello June! What is the title of the song? You are both great musicians! Thank you ! Yan, Quebec, Canada
Killer jam. 🤘🎤🎤🎸🎸🥁
She is killin' it on that bass! Actually they're both killin' it.
I discovered Fanny recently and this is awesome to watch and hear. She definitely is slapping that bass proper! The funk is strong here.
Yes! The Millington sisters are BOTH killin' it!
Playing bass and singing at the same time is not easy! Jeane manages to do it very well!
Drummer is rock solid as well. They are all great.
It reminds me a bit of that Blondie song.
Jean bought that bass brand new in '63. Love you, Jean!
I was at this rehearsal! I was mind-blown then, and I remain so.
Reminds me of Mother's Finest. Love it! Most music made today is a poor excuse of music.
June is a damn good bass player. She should have been a session musician. Tight AF.
(that's me on guitar, Jean is on bass!!:)) xx
This girls rocks since 1969!
Thank you!
@@JuneEsWorld What a honor!!!
Thank you too!!!
@@JuneEsWorld - unfortunately "I had no idea"... Came across a Fanny track on Beatclub, liked it and dug deeper. Sounds like you and your sister haven't lost a beat. Also sounds as if you're "local" since I ended up in the San Joaquin delta (originally Hamburg native). Thanks for the great sound. Hope to catch you (@ Garlic Bros?)

Love them since... 1972, when I saw Fanny for the first time in Germany... yeah...
These ladies still have it.
This is AMAZING! Love it! ..I accidentally found the Fanny videos. They were all great musicians , and should've been more famous! Certainly..one of the very first Lady rock bands ever ! I would love to hear Red Hot chili peppers cover this ! Bass is beautiful!
Absolutely agree!

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH FUNK!
Love love love the Millington sisters xxx
As a Filipino/American male musician, there were few role models in the U.S. for people like myself to watch or learn from when I started out. I only knew of Filipino musicians or entertainers that were successful from the Phillipines being a nephew of Paraluman, the famous actress from the Phillipines. I didn't know who Jean or June Millington were until I read the Premier Guitar article and saw the videos related to the article. Their music was before my time but I give props to the Millington sisters for writing & playing great music, being a role model, being extremely talented, perservering in an industry that was male dominated & racist, and was one of the few Filipino/American female musicians to reach that level of success in a time when the music industry was still open to younger artists. Thanks June & Jean for keeping me inspired by their music & talent.
So welcome, and hey, you will be hearing a lot more from and about us i a few months - starting with the epic Fanny documentary:)) xx June
@@@JuneEsWorld

Lovely sentiment, so heart felt and worthy.

June Millington ahead of her time.

Try the band BIRTHA an all girl band from the same time period, equally as good as Fanny, i think they knew each other. Cheers

Woow. Greetings From Finland. Maraming Salamat. 😆👍🌹
Forever young!
Holy crap, Jean! HOLY CRAP!!
The cheeky grin on the drummers face at the best points is exactly how i feel haha
my god this is tight
Tight, yes! (It's about "Right Understanding," on of the 8 of the Eightfold Path. xx
what's all this tight crap nonsense, speak in proper English, geeeeez!!!!
@@JuneEsWorld June, you guys are incredible. And talk about tight; your version of "Hey Bulldog" is better than the original.
I don't know why I didn't know you in the early years (I'm old enough) but when I eventually found you, I couldn't believe how great (and tight! 😄) the whole band is.
@@JuneEsWorld thanks for the years of awesome music, I'm a musician myself and have always loved you guys, my mom turned me onto you in 1978 when i was 10yrs old so i thank her for that God bless her soul, hope all is well. keep rockin🎸🤘

Lots of 70s Love from 2021 England
Xxx
They still got it. Amazing sisters.
I love Jean
monsterous P Bass tone!!!!! its been a while hearing such tones!!!!
I only just discovered these amazing ladies, it goes to show the Australian music industry in the 70s, obviously pre-internet, only let us hear what they thought would sell... I'm on the other side of 60... it annoys me intensely that I wasn't able to appreciate Fanny when I was a teenager. And now the rhythm section is mother and son? Just incredible.
Yes, absolutely incredible. xx
The girls still have it going . . Always loved Fanny 👍
We love June and Jean!!!
Thanx to BEAT-CLUB channel for remembering FANNY here in 2020. ✌
Настоящие валькирии рока!высший пилотаж👍!Das ist toller Musik von Rock🤘
They are so frickin' cool, I love it.
Very tight for three piecing it. Awesome bass line, Nice guitar riffs, backed by solid drumming and great vocals. Well done.....Keep rocking!
Like The Police, there is little need for much more in a killer rock band.
Ladies rocking!! So cool!!
Primera vez que las escucho y me gustaron muchisimo, mis respetos chicas.💎
What a thrill and what a joy! To see and hear Fanny again! Thank you very much for this video. You continue to be queens of rock! Greetings from Argentina.

Still amazing.❤
fantastic, fucking power trio, Jean, her son, and June. Play more for us you three, please.
bass line is fuckin phat!!! With her son laying a rock solid pocket, and sister/aunt on guitar, how awesome is this!
Jean is with no doubt one of the best bass players. I would wonder if Paul M. would not approve this message.

Two of my heroines.
SUPER OUTRAGEOUSLY AWESOME!!!🤘🤘🤘

Excellent thanks 😊 👍 🙏

Oh my life!! I stumbled on these ladies and watched their videos from the early 70's which were fantastic. But this is just killer!!
Damn!! That is funky!! Call me when you are in the ATL...
Jean is a magnificent musician!!❤❤❤❤
Very underrated bass player , and her sister can hold her own as a guitar player.
Daaaaaamn they're so freaking good. I know about these ladies and yea they know their stuff. I think they should be mentioned today more than they are. They started something long before other bands in that time.
New documentary coming your way ... "Fanny: The Right to Rock"!
It’s awesome seeing an all woman band rock like this! Great job
glad to see they're still rocking out! I remember you all from the 70's!!!!!
....and they haven't lost it, obviously.
@@Realbillball Thanks!
Yup, we're still here ~ Jean's had a stroke, tho, and is working her way back to the bass. Go to www.gofundme.com/jean-millington-go please, if you'd like to help out! xx June
@@JuneEsWorld What an honour to chat with you, first of all. Very sorry to hear about Jean's condition. Hope she can get it reasonably right again soon.
Will indeed click the link and help out a bit.
Not a billionaire, but if I was, I'd fly you guys over to Oslo to play in my local pub. They would have loved you there. :)
BE WELL!
Tight & funky bottom end, snap on the snare, jangly 7ths and 9ths through some old P-90's........what else can a music fan ask for????
i'd trade heart for fanny every blessed day of the week
Wow amazing... love it ❤
Love this. Thanks for posting. Didn’t know these women were still rocking. As a fledgling music journalist I interviewed June Millington in her Fanny days. They were OG girl rockers! Wonder if Larkin Poe girls know of them.
Hope they do!
I had a crush on Jean back in the 70’s and after all these years I still do . . . She’s a great looking gal

They play and sound as good as they did in their 20s. Amazing.

DONT MEAN TO HARP ON... BUT JUST FOUND MY NEW FAVOURITE SONG!
This is what rock music should sound like! I'm the same age as Jean and bought their records in my youth. Still sounding magnificent on that bass Jean. Also June on lead. Stunning the pair of you!
How did they miss the funk and the disco era ? )) Sweet ,Great new tune !
They didn't miss it. They made a funk & disco album called Ladies On The Stage" back in 78. This song is from a album they put out in 2001 called Slammin' Babes.
C'est une affaire de famille ! Excellent...
This is amazing.
Outstanding, thanks for the video.
these guys frickin rock
Kia ora...Jean & June Millington!!
Wonderful talents! I just discovered them today and am happy (better late than never), but sad that I didn't discover them 45 years ago.
