    I used to paint like that!
    Then I would bring my painting home and my mom would tape it to the refrigerator!

      Sounds like you still look at art like a child.

      That’s very meaningful considering Richard long’s way of art, nice observation. The difference is that your mom probably complained your work of art on the fridge, maybe didn’t help that was not geometric and this lack of structure made it appears just like dirty in your mom perception, instead of an aesthetic experience.

    Here in México we could see a beautiful exhibition of "British Landscape" some months ago. From Turner and Constable to Richard Long. One of the most memorable cultural events in my life.

    He had to have measured that before hand, right? No way he makes a perfect circle like that first try

    • @reyesnmusic
      @reyesnmusic Před 4 lety +3

      yes, in the video you can see in some point that he is taking measurements in the wall with a pencil

      He uses a pencil on a piece of string to draw the circles after establishing the centre of the work.

      @@Isabella-fl4ui Stupid question. Human skin is quite thin, so wears down by abrasive action of scratching the wall surface 10.000 times. Sigh.
