I just got mines out an hour ago. It was so quick felt nothing. I was put to sleeep 4 of them out. It’s surreal I was having anxiety before. It was so quick nothing to worry about trust me
EASIEST PROCEDURE YOULL EVER HAVE. I had my wisdom teeth taken out today, two of them were impacted. I was on the verge of a panic attack I was so scared. I was given laughing gas then sedation. They put the IV in (which I barely felt due to laughing gas) and not even five minutes later I was out cold. The nurse woke me up and I swear I felt like I had closed my eyes for five minutes, even though the surgery was almost an hour. No pain at all, I was completely asleep I didn't hear or feel a thing. Not a thing, just a small prick if the IV. Guys it's not gonna hurt at all, I promise your gonna be great. I feel silly for freaking out, this was the easiest thing I've ever had done. I will tell you your gonna be sore after that numbness wears off, but take your pain pills round the clock every 4-6 hours and you'll never feel more that a sorness, no pain at all, an inconvenient sort of discomfort but that medication will keep you mellow and sleepy. Chin up, your gonna be more than good I promise ❤❤❤
You summed it up perfectly, I got mine out a few months ago and I remember crying the morning of the surgery because I was so scared. But there’s really nothing to worry about!
turns out i couldn't get the IV sedation as im one of those unlucky people that have tiny veins, they pricked me like 5 times so have to get it done without any sedation 😭😭 wish me luck
Just want everyone to know that getting my wisdom teeth out has been one of my biggest fears for YEARS. 7 hours ago I got all 4 of them out via IV sedation (was asleep) and i survived! The procedure itself was SO easy they gave me some laughing gas and an IV, the laughing gas helped calmed me down a TON and after they put the iv in me I remember the nurse asking me questions and literally next thing I know I'm in the car almost home lol! DO NOT BE WORRIED ABOUT THIS it's so much easier than you think
@@devin6437 Ahh well don't be. Are you worried about the pain of the needle? Or just the thought of it? Shots hurts a lottttt more than Iv's or having your blood drawn which is what the IV will be. They tell you before they are about to give you the IV, and I promise you don't even feel anything its not painful like a shot. If its just the thought, when she put it in me and administered the meds via the IV, literally the girl asked me "Do you play any sports?" and I said "Basketball" and that was the last thing I remember because I fell asleep right after I said that lol. Its all super quick and the anticipation is 100% "worse" than actually doing it I promise.
@@revan4130 Just got it done today. They were so confused because my heart rate went from 90 to 50. I straight up told them I was worried about the needle and not the actual surgery. Apparently you're not suppose to talk a lot but I am. And I'm not bleeding at all. And there's no pain.
@@devin6437 aye see it wasnt that bad. Yeah recovery kinda sucks I wont lie, just be careful for the first few days and after day like 2-3 the pain gets a lot better and you can start eating semi normal again
lol I’m afraid that while I’m going apeshit having an anxiety attack the day of, I’ll trigger my asthma and have an attack. I’m also wondering if I am allowed to use my inhaler if I do have an attack. (Because of General anesthetic stuffs.)
Aaron Jackson yeah well, this was my first time getting surgery, so I was super scared, but they just brought me to a room, and gave me the IV (which was no where near as bad as I thought it would be) and then I was out and then woke up like 2 seconds later and was done, so it’s nothing to worry about, you got this!!
This helped me so much! I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed in an hour and I was having a panic attack. I have the same fears as you did: Waking up in the middle of the proceedure, not waking up at all. This video helps a lot ^^
Unite with Music. Lyrics/Letras it was so not scary, I’m just watching a lot of Netflix rn with ice and advil. When I got to the room I was shaking but then just closed to eyes and I knocked out, felt like two minutes passed. I just rinse my mouth with salt water every 4 hours to avoid infection. If ur doing it soon I get why it scared but it’s so not that bad
@@mikaelahudson6743 thank you I appreciate you taking the time to answer and I'm glad it went well for you, and yes I'm taking mine out this thursday I haven been overthinking it so much and really I just have a lot of emotions I'm anxious becuase I want to be done with it already and nervous cause I've never been put under before but I will do it anyway I just hope I can control my emotions as much as possible and you know I just want the process to be fast like I heard that the IV feels like a few secs pass and then you're up and that's what I'm getting.
For some reason my biggest fear for it is like being under but feeling everything and they don’t know so this really helped by saying theirs a person to monitor is :)
@@EmmysPets how was it? Im getting mine out on Tuesday, and im kind of afraid of feeling paralyzed if that makes sense. Like my mind is completely concious and not affected, but my body is completely numb.
Lucas Mansfield I had this exact fear! Mine went very well thanks for asking! I only got my bottom ones out and I 100% recommend the IV just mention that you would like to be put out all the way since some people haven’t felt pain but they hear and can see things. I personally didn’t want to hear them breaking my teeth out of my mouth lol. I don’t even remember waking up or being out out. The needle feels like a flu shot is doesn’t hurt and it’s only for like 10 seconds.:)
@@EmmysPets thanks so much. Im not afraid of the needle or anything, just like I want it to feel like i slept, not like im awake, but I just can't feel my mouth, thatd be terrible.
YOU WILL BE FINE, I PROMISE. I just wanted to add a comment here as all of your experiences really helped me. I had mine out yesterday (two on the same side, one was fully erupted but the other one was impacted). I had IV sedation. Getting the IV in was seriously so easy, I spoke to the dental assistant and didn't look so had no idea it was happening. The procedure itself was so quick, I put some music on in my noise cancelling earphones and even though I was definitely still conscious I was completely calm and sort of outside of my own body. Once it was all over, I just went home and didn't say anything silly, I felt in complete control of myself. The pain isn't bad, I'm just taking the medicine they gave me. Seriously I promise you will be okay, this is such an everyday routine for dentists. My tips - Exercise the morning of, if you have time - If you're especially anxious, ask if you can take a valium beforehand - Stock up on soft food you actually like - Take recovery seriously so you don't get dry socket (my biggest priority rn) - Ice packs! - Play music in your earphones if you can - My sedationist wrapped me in a blanket which was very comforting, maybe ask if you can bring one - Set alarms for your meds - Have some fun activities lined up! Sending you all love. xx
I’m here at 3 am feeling extremely anxious. You survived this and you have the same fears as me. Hopefully I survive. I’m going under IV sedation and hopefully things go smoothly.
@@annabelle6877 it wasn’t that bad. I don’t remember much of the procedure but they stuck a needle in my arm and then I blacked out. I don’t remember much of what happened but I remember waking up and things feeling extremely uncomfortable. The first few days are gonna be the worst. It took me a little over 2 weeks to recover. Just remember to ice your face often. It’s gonna be swelled up.
I am getting all four wisdom teeth plus two others out in June and yours is the first video I have seen that makes me feel less anxious as I have very high anxiety over everything. Thank you for making it and sharing it!
Thanks, this made me feel a lot better! I have an irrational fear of not waking up after sedation too so it’s nice to hear I’m not the only one. My surgery is tomorrow morning and I’m trying to remain calm about it.
so im nervous about saying things i shouldn’t on anesthesia. Like partying or coming out to my conservative parents. Do you have any advice i get them taken out on the 29th (tmmr)
Love this! i've actually shadowed an oral surgeon and watched a lot of wisdom teeth removals and its actually a very simply procedure! thanks for sharing your experience!
@Rhianna is Redeemed lol many countries outside America don't put patients to sleep for wisdom teeth, but many patients even here felt nothing just getting the local anesthesia and/or laughing gas combo. I plan to do it that way myself. You'd be fine! 🙂
@@Naioki4 it is painful that way, i just got it done today🙈 my advice do go to a place where they can sleep you. And make sure you know what pain killers to take, my case was difficult. I am allergic to almost everything!
I get mine in a week and my gosh this is the most stressful thing on my mind right now. I have a phobia of blood and needles so im not sure how ill be.
i just got all four (impacted) removed two hours ago and i was tearing up a bit and very worried on the way there. they took my blood pressure, numbed up my mouth, gave me oxygen, and gave me the iv (which i was super worried about because i’ve never gotten one before, but it was literally painless and a barely noticeable sting). they also gave me the shots in my gums while i was asleep. then i was laying there talking to the surgeon and the assistant and before i knew it i was out. i woke up with no issues or pain. so if you’re worried about it, do not be !! it’s almost funny how worried i was over something that wasn’t bad at all.
I know this is almost a year after you posted this but thank you I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled tommorow and I was terrified but you really eased my mind ,not to mention I also have very bad anxiety and most of your worries were the same as mine so again thanks for the tips
@@brendon5405It was not as scary as I thought it would be. I got the IV anesthetic instead of laughing gas so, it felt like a took a quick nap and woke up with gauze in my mouth not being able to feel my mouth😂. Thanks for asking☺
Knowing someone is going to be monitoring me to see if i feel pain during the procedure is really calming 😅 thats the one thing i am extremely scared of😓 this video helped alot thank you so much😄💗💗

XxRazberryWolfxX I am the same way! But honestly, it only stings for a second and then it’s done. Looking back on it, there really was nothing to be scared of! I didn’t even remember falling asleep, only waking up. I literally didn’t even know that they had done the surgery yet. You’ll be okay, I promise!

New subscriber here!! you're so pretty!! I still have my wisdom teeth in and when they grow they hurt sooo bad. I know getting them taken out had to hurt baddd.
Thank you so much for this video. I have to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed Dec 6 2018. I’m 24 and this is my first surgery ever. I am so scared and I have anxiety so, I can relate to you when you said your thoughts go everywhere. I’m just scared I won’t be able to talk after, that thought really scares me. I just really pray to God I can do this :(
Kamille Tyson you can do this 100% It sounds scarier than it is you will definitely be able to talk I promise, your mouth just might hurt to move it❤️❤️
@@Thenevisian It went well! I chose to be knocked out so it felt like 5 mins max from start to finish. I didn't have much pain afterwards and it was a speedy recovery. I'm sure you will be fine, but I completely understand how you're feeling because I was freaking out up until they had me breathe the gas to relax. Best of luck!
It’s actually making me mad how scared I am. I’ve literally had a bone cut out of both my feet and went under anesthesia where I was intubated. But I’m freaking out over this wtf WHY
Same lol... I had a 5 hour surgery and had my skull cut into but still get worried bout a damn wisdom tooth surgery. I just worried about the pain after 😂
Ik this is abt a year old but this really helped me, i get all of mine removed this month (september) on the 28th (4 wisdom teeth and 1 extra thats been giving me problems), and even though its a while away ive literally had so much anxiety abt it, so much so that i always end up crying thinking abt what could happen, mainly me dying cause i have a HUGE ass fear of death. but tbh this really helped me and i wanna thank you a whole two bunches
staticpathetic aww that means allot❤️ if you have any more questions feel free to let me know! You will be okay I promise! I was so terrified and thought I would die but the Oreo was is simple and they do it so many times you will be in good hands!
How are you feeling? I also had my wisdom teeth removed on the exact same day!! I'm feeling much better today just eating is stressful cuz I'm paranoid food will get stuck lol so I clean them out constantly. Please let me know how you feel!:)
Got all 4 (almost fully developed) wisdom teeth out this morning. I walked to the surgery chair, got an IV and I was out within 30 seconds. Woke up in recovery and was asking the nurse if it was already over. I somehow managed to have a groggy conversation with another girl recovering from surgery sitting in the recovery room 😂. We were asking each other how our surgeries went lol I don't even know how I managed though. As of right now I'm very fortunate and not in any pain. It been about 8 hours since surgery and still loopy though. Been taking pain killers every 4-6 hours. Slept most of the day. The only thing that is bothering me is the sensation of gaps where my teeth were. It really isn't that bad rn for me. Knock on wood.
I’m getting 5 out on Monday and am super scared. They think the 5th extra could be a bit dangerous to remove as it’s right by the nerve and could give me a facial palsy. They said they’ll decide during the surgery if they get it out. They think it’s going to be a difficult operation as my teeth are very deep, not surfaced at all and big cysts under the two lower ones. I have a narrow jaw and struggle at the best of times getting my mouth open for dental work. It had to be under general anaesthetic so at least I’ll be knocked out and won’t hear it 😣 Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I’m glad you came through well. Good you’ve got it done when you’re young too. I’m 31 and seems like it only gets worse !
I’m getting local anesthetic and I’m horrified of feeling it and hearing it. I’ve had local anesthetic not completely numb me before. Just thinking about it my jaw locks up and I can’t breathe.
I’m getting all 4 out in a little under 2 months and I’m nervous lmaoo. I have anxiety aswell and I feel more comfortable knowing I’m not the only one who is dealing with/ dealt with the irrational fears about it :)
@@TaliaSargent I had em taking out last week. It was a breeze. The pain after the anesthesia wore off was a b*tch! Thanks for the encouragement and reassurance.

i just found this now, because i’m almost 99% i’m having mine taken out next month bc i have terrible pain rn (n my dentist is closed rn bc holidays) n this was actually comforting. i’m okay with afterwards stuff, i’m just like terrified of waking up during it. 😅
How is she doing this well after 3 days...I got mine out four days ago and I’m still so swollen and in pain and I can’t eat anything...thankfully it’s getting a lot better finally
Stephanie Ortega it was sooooo easy i walked right in and i was already calm w the anti anxiety meds they had me take but the iv really didn’t feel like anything and it didn’t even feel like a minute had passed but next thing u know i was done, and my recovery was so easy and pretty much painless!! the worst part is having to eat soft foods haha !!
I got all 4 of mine out with no gas, no sedation, just localized anesthesia. I was anxious it wouldn't actually work and I would feel everything and freaking out. Surprise surprise, it *did* work, I couldn't feel much of anything, and the procedure was all done in only like 45 min. Super tolerable pain afterwards too. The only part worth being anxious about is I'm on day 3 and still seem so far away from being able to eat whatever I want and I'm so over the bland diet. I just wanna eat chinese food, burgers, and cheese curds man...
I got mine out 2 months ago. I had the same fears. I was scared of iv part. I'm a adult and I'm still scared of needles. But the surgeon made the iv painless, it wasnt as I thought it would be. It still made me nervous!
@@candywilson3884 It was super easy and way better than I expected! All I remember is the nurse inserting the IV and then I woke up in the recovery room. I didn't even feel that drugged up after. I slept for like an hour when I got home, and then I felt fine. The pain got worse a few days later, but nothing terrible. I just kept taking the ibuprofen they gave me and eventually I didn't need it anymore!
I’m getting mine out in an hour and it feels so surreal, I know I’m going to freak out as soon as I get there. This video helped calm my nerves a bit so thank you!
Swifty Ken Thankfully I was able to be put to sleep during the surgery, the first day was fine because I was so numb. The next week I was sore and in a bit of discomfort, but staying on top of my medicine and icing my jaw definitely helped. I did swell a lot, though. I wouldn’t say the recovery was painful, uncomfortable is more the word I would use. But after three weeks I’m nearly all the way back to normal!
@@candywilson3884 it was really weird, all I remember was being given some “laughing gas” because they could tell I was super nervous, and I immediately started to calm down. Then the needle went into my arm and I started to feel sleepy, I remember thinking “oh no what if they start the surgery and I’m still awake” because the nurses had stopped talking to me. Then next thing I know was the strangest feeling I have ever experienced. When I first woke up, there was about an hour of pure confusion. I genuinely thought I was dreaming, my feet felt light and everything was muffled and I felt like I wasn’t in control of my body until I got home. Anyways, it went much better than I anticipated. The healing process was uncomfortable and a bit painful, but the surgery was easy-peasy
I got mine out 5 days ago and I had 3 monitors on my to keep track of blood oxygen levels, heart rate, etc. then they put an oxygen thing on my nose to make sure I was getting enough oxygen and put the iv in my hand. All I remember was „you did so good!“ and then I was waking up. Hardest thing for me has been eating since I want a whole bunch of crunchy and normal foods I can’t eat but I’m managing. Also sutures are weird coming out
i got 4 impacted wisdom teeth , 1 molar out yesterday. they gave me iv sedation also known as (twilight anesthesia). let me tell you i have the worst anxiety, the worst ever imaginable about ANYTHINF. So as you could imagine i was very nervous to be put under and for the procedure as well. When I got there they said they put the iv in ( barely a pinch) then that they were going to give me sleepy juice next thing you know i wake up. i didn’t wake up saying anything crazy just uncontrollably laughing / crying but very much aware. i was freaking out over nothing . day 2 pain is minimal
It's literally so weird that you felt exactly the same way I'm feeling. I'm gonna have 2 of mine taking out in 2 days and one of my biggest fears is the one that you had but is a process that I have to do anyway so even know I'll probably be nervous I'm still doing it.

3yrs late lol. But I've literally watched this video so many times, it's really the only thing keeping me calm. I get my 3 remaining wisdom teeth out tomorrow afternoon 😬 and I'm so nervous, I have bad anxiety too. I've felt sick to my stomach all day today because I'm just so scared.

@Drew Hodgkins Not at all, do not be scared or anything, it's literally like you blink, they say "it's like a quick nap", for me it's like a blinked lol that's how fast it went. 🙂 You'll be just fine.
Ive got to get my impacted ones out by a surgeon, but its a waiting game rn, so there is a lot of anxiety, not just from the fact that i have to get surgery, as well as white coat system
I’m a lot late to the party, but I’m getting 1 or 2 out in 2 weeks. Originally scheduled it for the top right, but like 2 days later the bottom right started hurting too 🤦🏽♀️ just gonna see what the dentist says. Im not worried about the left side- both 2nd molars are gone, so no worries about injuring those teeth. Bottom left is sideways facing forward, top is the least impacted i think (trying to remember the xray from 2 months ago 😅) I cant decide if i want to do the gas or try local anesthetic. Im terrified, but also worried about money since i have a low paying job and dental insurance doesnt cover as much as youd think. I’m gonna be binge watching these kinds of videos to try and ease anxiety but im sure it wont help xD
Had mine done yesterday. Surgery was totally fine until she couldn’t get the last part of my tooth out. She used so much force I thought my jaw was going to break. Turns out she left the last part of my tooth in as there is a hidden root and didn’t want to damage any nerve endings. Following surgery I was fine until the sedation wore off. I had a pretty intense headache a few hours later (although I think that may have been due to the force she was using) and the wound was only moderately painful. After I had taken painkillers the headache went and the only concern now is stopping any bleeding and eating soft foods. Overall the whole experience was slightly worse than I thought only because of that horrible headache I experienced after. I personally don’t think I would have got that if she didn’t have to use that force on the last part of my tooth which wouldn’t come out.
Thank you SOOO much for this video!! I suffer from pretty bad anxiety, and I’m getting my wisdom teeth out next week. I’ve been having really irrational thoughts and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. This video helped a lot. Thank you!!

@@livvygrossmann6004 of course, and that is so great to hear. Some advice for both of us is that let's use the surgery as an example, we were so scared and worked up over it and it turned out to be nothing! Like most things in life, the scariest part is always the anticipation because we make it out to be this big thing when usually its never as bad as we think its going to be!
I’m having the most traumatic experience with this, i’m on my sixth day and can barely talk, I can barely eat anything but applesauce. I have barely healed and probably have about a week left of healing at this rate. I can’t even open my mouth an inch wide. I cry everyday because I cannot to things normal, I can’t even smile. Also, turns out i’m allergic to anesthesia and woke up vomiting for 2 hours straight. Good luck with your surgery guys! :| Oh and I have anxiety & depression. I’d say ur lucky.
I’m so sorry that this has been such a scary experience for you ❤️ sending lots of love your way! Lots of ice, sleeps, and keep your head elevated! I’m always here if you need someone to talk to❤️
My biggest fear is feeling everything. I get sleep paralysis quite often so I’m scared that if I get put under I’ll feel it all...or that I’m just gonna die
This is an old post, what when you say it was going to be you, were you preparing to get your wisdom teeth out? Did you have the surgery; if so, how was it, what do you remember?
I’m 12 and having to get my wisdom teeth out already. I have a massive fear of loosing consciousness and passing out ever since I experienced it myself, I’m so nervous and hope it goes well!
I got mine out yesterday and I have severe anxiety of surgery and needles and stuff like that so I passed out before over stress but after they do your iv they give you a laughing gas mask and you won’t remember anything when you wake up it feels like you never fell asleep
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row. Mine was extracted by general aesthetic. Lots of tugging , drilling and a grown man ripping my cheek apart! (Literally) took around 30mins to extract 1 tooth. No pain during surgery- just VERY uncomfortable and felt a ton of pressure. Kids, if you never taken drugs well now is your time to shine! I took pain killers an hour after surgery as pre caution and took pain killers every 4 hours. The bleeding didn’t stop for 6 hours after surgery so visited the torture house again, they checked it and said it’s nothing to worry about. REMEMBER to use a WET gauze for 30mins & then leave the gauze OUT and see if it clots on its own. Worked a treat for me On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt. - force yourself to shove some baby like food down & take tiny sips of water!! Later that evening I had sore throat and face started to swell like a balloon. Used ice on cheeks. The bleeding went down during the night on its own. No beauty sleep, I slept upright, which was very uncomfortable. Stack 2 pillows & Buy a travel neck pillow! Day 2- Prepare to look like Quagmire or the botched jaw filler look! Sore throat but no pain. Got a fever, Nasty blood taste in mouth but no active bleeding.. Fine wine and dine: porridge, rice pudding, ice cream, soup and sipped on lots of water throughout the day. Been taking pain killers every 6 hours through out the day. I managed to brush some of my pearly whites very carefully, Avoiding the site of extraction . (This made me feel better) Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night. Remember to take a shower & do your skin care- trust me you will feel ALOT better Day 3 - Wednesday - still rocking the botched jaw filler look. throat is very sore, voice is gone, blocked nose, headache. Think I got a cold. Fever has gone down. Nasty taste in mouth. Done salt and water rinse (check on CZcams how to). Meal of choice: soft foods, drank the whole ocean, cold matcha tea. VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing Only taken 2 pain killers. Pain level is like when you bite into your cheek. Day 4- woohoo, survived the worst-blotched jaw filler still intact. Still got a cold and cough. I Used Vicks in hot water and breathed in the steam to clear the mucus. Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright) On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream! Now in rehab & taken no pain killers. Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide Day 5- botched jaw filler is slowly going down (Hoorayyy) mild pain today. Still have sore throat so swallowing is a challenge! Felt dizzy and weak Took 1 pain killer with food this morning. I’m still quite ill with a cold. If I didn’t catch a cold I think everything would have been 10x easier! Can open mouth slightly wider so was able to brush a lot better. Noticed white stuff on the site and around the extraction which (according to google) is a good sign. Also noticed the stitches are starting to come loose, which again according to google , can happen and nothing to panic Food: beef pate (we getting fancy) mash, soup- drank tiny sips of water every hour (hurts to swallow but don’t want to be dehydrated!) Had the best sleep ever! Don’t need to sleep upright anymore. REMEMBER - your body is your temple so do some light stretches. Hopefully I can take a walk tomorrow if the swelling goes down more :) if you have a garden, don’t be shy and pop your head out for some fresh air
My biggest fear is saying something that should have NOT been said to my parents. When I got my other teeth pulled I was on laughing gas and I did nothing, I was normal. But still
I hear you're supposed to bite on gauze but I really can't bite with any force for 30 minutes. Best I can do is hold it in place and it's still wobbly because my muscles are straining. Any thoughts? I haven't had the surgery yet, it's in a few months if I can pluck up the courage.
I just got told today that I have to get them taken out. Dentist was concerned about one but said I might as well get all four taken out. I’m not gonna lie, I’m really anxious about it all. I’ve never had any teeth removed, let alone have had surgery or been sedated. Everything from them possibly sticking a needle in my veins for IV, to drawing blood to going under all is freaking me out. I’m about to be 27 and feel like I should be able to handle this better lol. UGH
lol I’m 14 and have experience with having extractions. I have the same fears man. I worry about it more than I should because with my previous experience, I was awake. And I was 8. It traumatized me. So I’m flipping my shit over here. I recently developed asthma in December, and I have anxiety issues, so I’m afraid that when they bring out the needle, I’ll go apeshit, have an anxiety attack, which will trigger an asthma attack. And idk if I’m allowed to use my inhaler. And I can’t talk to my mom about it because She doesn’t believe that my previous extraction was that bad. There’s no negotiating my extractions. And that makes it worse. Because nobody will listen.
So if you're being put to sleep, as soon as they stick the IV in you you'll fall asleep like instantly. When you wake up, you'll be really emotional and in my case, I cried a lot more out of confusion than pain. When the high wears off you won't remember almost anything you said or did. You'll be pretty uncomfortable at first but once you get the gauze out and start taking the painkillers they give you it won't be too bad at all. They take a little while to kick in but once they do you're fine. Although they do make you clumsy and a little dizzy. In fact, it's kind of relaxing as you'll get to just be lazy and nap for a couple days. It isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Don't stress out over it. By the next day you'll get used to it.
@@jesikah1905 Remember to take the nausea pills they give you to. And especially make sure you have eaten at least a little bit before taking your pain killers or else you might throw up.
Literally everyone had this same feeling and I promise you it’s nothing to worry about. The soreness you get in your shoulder after shots may actually be more painful than wisdom teeth soreness

I'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in a few days with IV sedation like you. Your video calmed down most of my anxieties. My question is, did you have any trouble walking or going down/up stairs after your procedure until you got back home and in bed?

Talia Sargent thank you! I’m so happy it over with! I just hope I don’t get bad pain I’m drinking my medication as prescribed and I’m so hungry!!!!!!!
I heard the sedation only calms you but it doesn’t make u go to sleep
Xenia Hernandez thank you so much this definitely calmed me down, but do I have to get an IV?? That’s what I’m still scared about
Xenia Hernandez omg thank you!! Im terrified, i get them out December 10th
Thankyou so much for this comment, I've been so terrified reading this has helped!! I'm gonna take your word for it 💖😊
You summed it up perfectly, I got mine out a few months ago and I remember crying the morning of the surgery because I was so scared. But there’s really nothing to worry about!

Thank u so much
Just want everyone to know that getting my wisdom teeth out has been one of my biggest fears for YEARS.
Revan omg😂😂😂😂 i feel much better now
I'm worried about the needle bro

I have to get mine out in 5 days and I am so nervous, but I know everything is going to be fine, but I just can't stop thinking about it.
Kennedy Lynn how was it
YOU WILL BE FINE, I PROMISE.
My tips
- Exercise the morning of, if you have time
- If you're especially anxious, ask if you can take a valium beforehand
- Stock up on soft food you actually like
- Take recovery seriously so you don't get dry socket (my biggest priority rn)
- Ice packs!
- Play music in your earphones if you can
- My sedationist wrapped me in a blanket which was very comforting, maybe ask if you can bring one
- Set alarms for your meds
- Have some fun activities lined up!
Sending you all love. xx

could you control what you said? or at the very least remain quiet?
It had to be under general anaesthetic so at least I’ll be knocked out and won’t hear it 😣

Did it hurt
Swifty Ken Thankfully I was able to be put to sleep during the surgery, the first day was fine because I was so numb. The next week I was sore and in a bit of discomfort, but staying on top of my medicine and icing my jaw definitely helped. I did swell a lot, though. Im not worried about the left side- both 2nd molars are gone, so no worries about injuring those teeth. Bottom left is sideways facing forward, top is the least impacted i think (trying to remember the xray from 2 months ago 😅)
I cant decide if i want to do the gas or try local anesthetic.
You inspired me to make a wisdom teeth video too♥️
Thank you SOOO much for this video!! I suffer from pretty bad anxiety, and I’m getting my wisdom teeth out next week. I’ve been having really irrational thoughts and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. This video helped a lot. Thank you!!
Me too. I'm getting mine out tomorrow and I have really bad anxiety and panic disorder, I hope I can come back here and tell you it went great because despite my fears I know it will!
Revan I’m now getting mine out tomorrow, but your positive attitude also makes me feel a bit better 😌 so how’d your procedure go? I hope it went well! I wish you the best of luck in recovery!
@@livvygrossmann6004 yeah it was super easy Haha. Trust me when I say I have BAD anxiety and panic disorder so you arent alone in feeling that way. I went in and sat in the chair, they gave me the laughing gas in my nose and within a couple of mins I was laughing and it helped calm me down so much, the lady put the IV in me and next thing I know I was in the car going home! The surgery itself is the easiest part trust me!!!
Revan sorry, I didn’t have time to reply to your comment because I had to head over and get my surgery done. You were right! The surgery isn’t bad at all 😀 I just got back a few hours ago, and it’s a little bit sore but otherwise I’m doing great! You really helped to calm my nerves a bit, so thank you for that :)
I’m getting mine out tomorrow and this REALLY helped calm my nerves! Thanks!
How was your surgery experience? Can you describe what you remember?
0:03 "It's just traumatic"
Wow thank you, only 2 seconds in and I already feel so much better
I’m always here if you need someone to talk to❤️
love this! I don't think I need mine out thank gooodnessss
Lauren Simon yes u are sooo lucky🙈❤️ thank you!
omg i was actually so scared im not sure if i will need to get my wisdom teeth out but i am still scared lol
Rebecca Li I was so scared too it’s okay haha 😆 if you do need them out you will be okay!
this helped so much. i get them out tomorrow ahh wish me luck !
How was your wisdom teeth surgery; do you remember anything from the experience?
What medication and dosage did u have to take for the pain? And how much/often did u need it personally
You helped Alot. My anxiety is BADDDDD
My biggest fear is feeling everything. I get sleep paralysis quite often so I’m scared that if I get put under I’ll feel it all...or that I’m just gonna die
This is gonna be me sis 💀💀 I have bad anxiety
This is an old post, what when you say it was going to be you, were you preparing to get your wisdom teeth out? Did you have the surgery; if so, how was it, what do you remember?
@@candywilson3884 it went well I was lit af
I love you 😫for this ❤️😘
Awww I love you
This helped with my anxiety thank you
Thank you so much this really helped
i get mine out next Saturday! i am so scared but this helped a lot!!!
How did it go?
I’m 12 and having to get my wisdom teeth out already. I have a massive fear of loosing consciousness and passing out ever since I experienced it myself, I’m so nervous and hope it goes well!
Im so scared to!!😰😰😫 When do u have to get yours out? I have to get mine out but I don't know when!😭
I got mine out yesterday and I have severe anxiety of surgery and needles and stuff like that so I passed out before over stress but after they do your iv they give you a laughing gas mask and you won’t remember anything when you wake up it feels like you never fell asleep
I get mine out in two hours
How was it??
Just got mine out yesterday. Nothing to worry about. I'm not in pain, but I am hungry.
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out
Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row.
Worked a treat for me
On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt.
(This made me feel better)
Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night.
Remember to take a shower & do your skin care- trust me you will feel ALOT better
Day 3 - Wednesday - still rocking the botched jaw filler look. throat is very sore, voice is gone, blocked nose, headache. Think I got a cold. Fever has gone down. Nasty taste in mouth. Done salt and water rinse (check on CZcams how to).
Meal of choice: soft foods, drank the whole ocean, cold matcha tea. VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing
Only taken 2 pain killers. Pain level is like when you bite into your cheek.
Day 4- woohoo, survived the worst-blotched jaw filler still intact. Still got a cold and cough. I Used Vicks in hot water and breathed in the steam to clear the mucus.
Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright)
On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream!
Now in rehab & taken no pain killers.
Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide
Day 5- botched jaw filler is slowly going down (Hoorayyy) mild pain today.
Also noticed the stitches are starting to come loose, which again according to google , can happen and nothing to panic
Food: beef pate (we getting fancy) mash, soup- drank tiny sips of water every hour (hurts to swallow but don’t want to be dehydrated!)
Had the best sleep ever! Don’t need to sleep upright anymore. REMEMBER - your body is your temple so do some light stretches. Hopefully I can take a walk tomorrow if the swelling goes down more :) if you have a garden, don’t be shy and pop your head out for some fresh air
I wanna hug you ❤

Because nobody will listen.
thank you so much. I’m getting braces in June and I just found out I had to get my wisdom teeth removed eventually and I’m so scared
I got braces last November and I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in about 3 hours.
This Is My Name omg how did it go
So if you're being put to sleep, as soon as they stick the IV in you you'll fall asleep like instantly.

Remember to take the nausea pills they give you to. And especially make sure you have eaten at least a little bit before taking your pain killers or else you might throw up.
This Is My Name thank you
I’m just scared of what it feels like when you wake up from it
Literally everyone had this same feeling and I promise you it’s nothing to worry about. The soreness you get in your shoulder after shots may actually be more painful than wisdom teeth soreness
I’m actually really nervous about how I’ll feel while recovering. I get panic attacks easily and I’m worried about how the meds will make me feel
I get mine pulled tomorrow but this helped 🥺💓
How long did you wait when you got into the room for the IV and from the IV until they put you asleep?
This helps I am in day 1 and I’m still numb lol I have anxiety as well so Thankyouuuuu
so im nervous about saying things i shouldn’t on anesthesia. Like partying or coming out to my conservative parents. Do you have any advice i get them taken out on the 29th (tmmr)
I'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in a few days with IV sedation like you. Your video calmed down most of my anxieties. My question is, did you have any trouble walking or going down/up stairs after your procedure until you got back home and in bed?

Had mine out for about 6 hours now and I was worked up over nothing what a relief
Hello. I have to get mine out. I’m just wondering how long the procedure is. Does anyone know?
My wisdom teeth are perfect I don’t know if I want them to be taken from me!
