We tremendously appreciate all of your support over the years. The Folk Firearms Collective is a husband and wife team comprised of Denny Ducet and Alina Aldobrando. Our goal is to preserve the passion, art, culture and traditions of the blackpowder community and the adventurous history behind it. Should we fail to immerse ourselves and educate each other in this rich history, posterity will wither and cease, leaving the younger generations to never experience the joy of such times. Join us as we disconnect from all the modern noise and chaos.
To support our channel, please feel free to become a channel member and gain access to exclusive content. All proceeds go to powder, ball, and associated accoutrements featured in our videos.
We humbly thank the Flathead Valley Muzzleloaders Club for their dedication to this craft, the land on which we shoot, and most importantly-their willingness to partake in this preservation of history. Of all the folks we’ve been honored to spend time with, these gents and gals are the greatest of our friends. We are forever grateful for their influence and education in our own lives through the course of our traditional muzzleloading journey.

I might be a little prejudiced but that blue gun really stands out. Great job guys. Beautiful country out there.
The invitation always stands Clay, you would be a most welcomed guest at any shoot here. Thank you again for your artisanship spent crafting my wife such a beautiful gun that will always be most special to us. Stay well friend and come see us. I encourage anyone here to check out: claysmithguns.com/
Thanks to the Flathead Muzzleloaders for keeping the fire kindled. Thanks to the dozens of gunmakers who spent thousands of hours hand crafting the SmokePoles in this video. And thanks to Alina for all the work that went into the filming and editing of this video, and documenting the event so that others can enjoy it, today and tomorrow.
I so wish I could have been there.
If you ever come round, you're welcome to
This Shines!!!!
Thank you
Yeah, new content! Nice to see old faces, hopefully we didn’t lose any one since the last video.
Looks like a blast.
I see what you did there 😄💥
What a colorful group of folks. I'll bet all are fine marksmen and ladies too. Sure hope to see more videos in the future. I love that ladies blue painted rifle...
Thank you, it's truly my favorite
Great to see you again! I’ve watched the old videos over and over!
Awesome. Thank you.
Nothing like this in upstate NY. My husband would love this.
I've been waiting 2 years for this video. Thank you!
So have we! Working on a new one now
Hopefully we bring many more.
@@FolkFirearmsCollective I can't wait to see them. I've watched all your other videos at least 20 times over. Thank you very much.
Oh thanks! We gotta make them so stick around.
Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹 you guys live in paradise! Great stuff!

I thought that was Denny and Alina I recognized in the vid! Nice to see them again.
Greetings from Oklahoma! You all have some beautiful country up there.
I love this group of people. I could watch them shoot all day. In fact I do watch all there videos over and over. Beautiful country those mountains in the distance. Black powder shooter world wide seem to be the same laid back . Go Denny keep up the good work.
Truly a remarkable collection of the most kind and colorful characters! We are blessed to be surrounded by the likes.
A beautiful fall day in Montana, good people, and historical firearms. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for stopping by!
Denny, SO GOOD to see you back on here! Wonderful video of a grand group of people living a great way of life! I'll watch this one over and over just as I have all your other videos. Praying for you and hoping to see more soon.
Keep your flint sharp, your priming dry, and stay free!
TC
Thank you!!
Ditto!
Love the videos
Means a lot. Thanks!
Starting out with Clifton Hicks and that gorgeous Clay Smith painted gun makes my day! Glad to see a new video
Hello. A very nice shot. How lucky you are in the United States, that you can shoot in the field, in the open air, competing in a friendly way. In Europe and I am writing from Spain, we can only compete in shooting clubs, on closed courts. I try to do it with my 58 caliber Dikar Hawken Mountain (CVA). Greetings from Spain.
Greetings. We are most blessed here.
Nice video to watch, music is really relaxing!
Thank you
That's Clifton Hicks. We love his music
Huuuuyyyyyyyyyyyy huuuufffffffffffff festival muy bueno
Brilliant..... I feel a bit lonely down here in NZ with my flintlock rifle.... not many in my area shoot the front stuffers, and least of all flinters.
It would be wonderful to attend a gathering of that sort... 🙂
Very nice!
Awesome.
Great to hear from you!
Nice to have you back! Missed seeing you guys. Wore out watching the old clips.
thank you for another video! PLEASE MAKE MORE! been waiting a long time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
More to come!
It looks SO fun. One day I'll get my 1st muzzleloader.
Some great quality rifles often show up on; Track of the Wolf, Americanlongrifles.org, muzzleloadingforum.com and other sites. Great educations on those as well. A JIM KIBLER kit is one of if not the best option out there for a quality kit.
Great video, Denny! Thanks for sharing…looks like y’all had a great time!
Most welcome. Thanks for coming by.
Can't wait for a new video.
New one just out and another soon.
Очень красивое видео. Аромат истории. Берегите традиции. Удачи!
Your support is appreciated!
Lovely guns with Clifton Hicks on the banjo! What could be better! Kind Thanks, Many Blessings and Keep some powder muzzled! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Thank you for a very nice video. I hope we can expect another one in not too long a time. I have watched your older ones at least 5 times each. I am especially partial to the winter videos. Once again good video.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes we hope to be much more active now that some challenges are behind us. Appreciate the support and yes - winter is coming!
Working on a new one here, soon!
Beautiful film! Glad to see y’all out shooting again! Film and Rifles! Love Blue Rifle! Thanks
Amazing video Denny & Co. Glad to see you guys keeping up the culture. Much love from all the boys
it's greatly appreciated!
Great to see you all back at the Club and doing video’s again! Carn’t wait for the next one. Keep them coming.
Я имею вопрос. Такое оружие может сделать пожар в лесу? Спасибо. Красивая стрельба. Смотрю второй раз.
Yes, sometimes if it's too dry a smoldering patch or a spark/ember from the powder can perhaps cause a fire. if it's too dry we sometimes don't shoot.
Thank you for the excellent video.
You’re welcome.
Been a minute.
Love the Flintlocks. 😉
You're so blessed to have gathings like this. Thank you for making this great video!!
Most welcome
We really are blessed
Great to see you back on here. I have watched your other videos multiple times and was hoping for some new content. Thanks!
Fantastic!
Now that looks like a ton of fun. Thanks for the video
What a coincidence, I was just searching about flintlocks as I’m interested in buying and learning how to shoot one and I came across this video and it’s in NW Montana where my wife and I are considering a move to down from Canada. I’ll take it as a sign!
Great group of folks!
Glad to see you again ! i started black powder after find your videos few years ago , thanks to you & best regards from France !
Excellent! Love to hear someone getting into traditional black powder / muzzleloading on account of these videos! Thank you.
HVALA ZA TA PREKRSNI VIDEO

Great authentic pieces of gear. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad to see you posting again! I enjoy your videos very much!
Thank you so much!
I am so happy! Thanks for the beautiful work you do in capturing the fun of a trail walk. Like many other commenters, I have really missed you! I find myself time and again watching your videos. Thanks to your inspiration I found a local group last year and rendezvous and shoot with them every chance I get. I hope your videos are to this generation what Jeremiah Johnson was to the last… an inspiration to enjoy an incredible way of life!
Thank you for this motivation and encouragement. Preserving and sharing this art and history is a joy.
Greets from PA! Looks like a fun group!
Aw Black powder runs deep in the blood. Love the blue stock rifle the girl had.
Loved the video.
Thank you!
Mostly flintlocks but I saw some cap locks in the video too.
Another great video showing a fine time. Monday my Early Virginia flintock and I will see about getting some venison. This video was like priming the pan.
Wonderfull. thanks for Sharing with us.
Awesome! Seeing a new video from you all made my day.
Thank you
We are proud to be the reason the rest of the country has a powder shortage! 😁😁😁
Great video along with fine music!
Denny, it’s good to see you happy and healthy. Thanks for letting us get a glimpse of your interesting life
Solid 👊🏼. Thank you. Blessed.
How’s it going Denny?
Please make more videos like this one.I'm from good old germany and wish we could shoot in the woods like you guys.We have to go to a range and that's so f..in boring.
I have two bp rifles, one kentucky in 45 and since 3 weeks one of my all time favourites a 50 Cal. hawken.
Greetings from a german muzzle loader and AK operator.
It's getting harder and harder to find places to shoot in the United States. But it's great to see this group out making smoke.
Getting ready to retire and
Love to attend this kind of event...trouble is without a sling or a walking stick can barely hit the ground anymore.
Never seen a painted muzzle loading gun before, I like it!
Was quite common. Check out Clay Smith claysmithguns.com/tradeguns1a.htm
Amazing history and craftsmanship.
3:51 plus Abso-lootely BADASS! Muzzleloading rules. Hello from New Yawk.
I have to travel 3 hours north from where I live to attend black powder shoots in the Catskill Mountains... and I can't wait til spring. Great video!
Looks like alot of fun!
Ultimate gun fun for sure.
Awesome video. You haven't posted these in a long time I missed them. I thought you had given up on them.
More to come!
@@FolkFirearmsCollective excellent. I love your flintlock videos. Best flintlock videos out there. I'm incredibly jealous that I don't live closer to montana.
Great video… love the Clifton Hicks (leather Stocking) music as well
I'd say Alina has been shooting since that last video!
I love the clip scanning across all the "gritty" fellas and their stance. Makes me feel like it could be a clip from a rev war movie with some malitia that don't want to budge. Love it.
In last video she was there to film and didn’t have her glasses. Yes it’s a great group for certain.
Haha yes! This time I had my contacts in. Not to mention had my surgeries and am no longer in crippling pain. Thanks for the feedback on that pan shot and for your support
@@FolkFirearmsCollective I watched your stuff countless times, you guys inspired me to do some videos with the similar vibe at our club(s) here in PA. I don't have a good camera, or software, just windows movie maker but I know the fellas here in PA enjoy the videos.
@@bkauffman0390 We don't have the fancy equipment either so I hear ya on that, but it's still fun! Should we ever be in your neck of the woods we'd love to film your club!
Excellent.
Thanks!
G'Day from Australia,
What a fine bunch of folk you are! I've watched many of your videos and enjoyed every one. Watching them has made me decide to take up muzzleloading again, after a break of 30 years. I still have a Brown Bess, two repro Enfield 20 gauge muskets (a 22" carbine and a 36" barreled musket ) as some of the accoutrements and clothing. I foolishly sold my powder horn when I gave up muzzleloading shooting and period camping. Still have a Zouave brass flask which will have to do until I find a decent powder horn. Not an easy task as muzzleloading supplies have become harder to find now in Australia, especially powder.
Thanks again for sharing your time together.
Cheers,
Steve
PS That short trade or "canoe" gun is a beast! My Enfield carbine is similar but percussion ignition. I used to take it rabbit hunting with a load of #6 shot. It worked well at short range.
G'Day again,
Forgot to mention that I have an Enfield .58 cal musketoon repro.
Excellent! Thanks for the comment .
I’d love to be apart of this!!❤❤ Amazing
Is there a club between Bozeman and billings used to shoot alot in Nevada
I love that Jacob Dickert. Any idea where one can acquire one made to that standard.
Love everyone's period attire. Some grizzled old gents in your troupe. They look like they just came down from the mountains. How many of the rifles in your group are original?
Most all are custom made period correct modern reproductions.
Somebody back east is sayin', now why don't he write? LOL Seriously though, I've been missing your new videos. I listen to them on the drive to my bp club events. Gets me in the mood for making smoke and clanging gongs. Thanks for the videos.
Wonderful!
Now this is my idea of a good time. Nothing like the sound of a muzzleloader going off and the smell of black powder.
Yes indeed
That blue flinter is a real eye catcher. Who did the work on that stock.
Clay Smith, Gunsmith of Williamsburg. He has a great channel and website, links in description.
He makes historically accurate, beautiful and well crafted pieces. Amazing work. I long for a Fancy English Fowler by his hand, as well as a walnut Type G trade gun.
Yes as my husband said, Clay Smith. Amazing work.
Not a flinch to be seen!
OH I am still learning and flinch on occasion!
👍👍👍😁😁
Make more Videos!!!! Please
On it!
@@FolkFirearmsCollective i stay here in Germany i love your Videos
Would I be welcome in your camp gents?
More than likely!
@@FolkFirearmsCollective Thank you! Sure do love this channel. Big blackpowder enthusiast. I shoot a iron Pennsylvania flintlock rifle.
How are tou doing your ammo? Mine got alot more delay before I shoot than you!
Good flints, good primes, and fast quality locks. Most locks here are Chambers, RE Davis or the like. All quality locks and custom built guns. Flints are of good size and quality.
You may be using too much prime in the pan. Makes a BIG difference!
Very nice, but the same problem as in Germany only a few young people.
could that be Clifton hicks i hear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Indeed!
Would have been a good video, except the obnoxious background noise.
kill the banjo
