    Sringeri Sharda Peetha or Sringeri Sharadha Mutt is located in the on the banks of the Tungapathirai river in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka, south India. The first monastery to spread Advaita philosophy in the 8th century. The monastery is located to represent the Yasur scripture. Sankara appointed his disciple Sureshwarar as the first abbot of the monastery. 105 km from Mangalore and also 303 km from Bangalore.
    Sringeri is a town dedicated to the temple. There are temples here for Goddess Saraswati, the head of education. He is called Saradamba here.
    Apart from this Saradamba temple, the Shiva temple is another specialty of the place. God Shiva arises in the name of Vidya Sankara
    Saradamba Temple was built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya. Then the idol of the god was placed and worshiped in the form of a stand made of sandalwood by Adisankar. The gold idol of Saraswati has been kept and worshiped since the 14th century.It is also said that the most ancient Shiva lingam made of crystal stones in the Shiva temple was given to Adisankar by Lord Shiva. Chandramooliswara Puja is performed daily at the Shiva Lingam here at 8.30 pm.

    Annapoorneshwari
    The temple is located on the banks of the river Bhadra in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. The idol of Annapoorneshwari, the source of the temple is said to have been consecrated by Agathi in the 8th century. The idol, which was consecrated many years ago, was found in ruins and after the renovation of the idol, the goddess was renamed 'Adi Sakthya Maha Sri Annapoorneshwari'.
