I've been using those plastic stands since I got the ps5 slim. They work perfectly really.. But that's because I don't spend too much time shaking the hell out of my console.

@@Damiano97 I suppose if you don’t use the the stand on it’s horizontal side you can possibly damage the disc drive or any game disc it. Don’t know but I’m not taking a risk finding out lol
Unless you're subjected to constant earthquakes, I dont see a reason to reinvent the wheel here. More power to you for having a more secure Playstation but it's not like it was going anywhere to begin with

The detachable disc drive was a good idea. That way if the motor burns out you Just throw out the detachment and buy a new one vs ripping thru the entire console to have repaired
Not necessarily benefit consumers, just so that they can just make 1 type of console instead of 2. i'm totally okay with that

As someone with a phat ps5 set vertical with the oem stand, it would've made sense if the guy was charging a controller if he wanted to shake things up
Im very satisfied with the clips. They work great and are vert stable.

Just ordered a pair. I don't know what Sony was thinking with these little clips. Even with the little rubberized feet, it still slides on my glass TV stand when I plug or unplug cables. Very annoying. Hopefully this solves that little problem.

The clear stand works just fine but if you shake you console like an earthquake you should buy the skates

Bought something similar from Amazon, and they're made for the 2020 ps5
I put on 2 2 inches screws on one side and 1 1/2 on the other side and looks like a coffe table
If you never shake the console or the whole entertainment system, those in tiny stands work perfectly fine
This will be better for more air flow which is obviously good
Disc version of the console does not need a vertical stand, there’s enough weight distribution don’t waste your money

A while back, I got a 4tb drive for my PS4, I still haven't used that much of it. It was only like 60 bucks, but it was good. Now, with the option of an m.2, it's probably gonna be forgotten. Only used for my videos. But, that's ok. I'll remember it.

When I first got my ps5 slim it looked weird to me but it grew on me plus I just like that it has more storage den the original one like rn I have 16 games installed with extra storage hard drive that includes 2k red 2 tcm f13th gta all huge games and I can still download more games and the stand don't even bother me no more

They look stable compared to the ridiculous plastic legs that come with the slim. But I stand mine up vertically and it’s very stable without the need for a stand at all.
The included stand is fine why would it ever need to hold up to someone pushing around. It also stands up on its end just fine without have to buy a stand

Because they sell the vertical stand seperately, so making the horizontal stand bad means more money from people buying the vertical stand.

@@Walkermccreight That's false. It only damages your console if you have tampered with your cpu (by simply exposing cpu you can break the seal)

I just set it vertical without the stand
That will block off airflow the ps5 slim and og have air vents on the bottom of it when you use the stand it has paths for air flow

The slim is already a strange looking console but here, slap these two big slabs of black plastic on either side to make it look even worse.
Since I got the Ps5 "slim" I had those 2 plastic stands on. There's nothing wrong with them.

Tf were those plastic tabs? Mine came with a disk base that can be used vertically or horizontally, both more sturdy and secure than what every those were

Okay yes the stand is terrible, but it's really not that dire that you have to buy a whole separate stand for it. I play my PS5, without touching the console itself.
