You videos are different from other people normally it’s some 10 year old freaking out screaming and whining but you give out good information
Man, this is the first video that I’ve seen I’ve watched hundreds of them by now you simplified it on how to hook up the two yellow wires now my battery charges and I can get 12 V to the lights thank you sir. 🍻
Damn good video sir!!
You just saved me a good amount of coin not having to buy the Blitzpro so thank you very much.
Thanks so much for this vid! I'm trying to put a light on my CRF125
Great video very helpful I ordered a ssr it’s on it’s way right now I know I’ll need a light for it this is a very affordable way to have a light thanks for your help! :)
Always wanted to do this now I know that's for the video and clear instructions 👌🏻
Awesome freaking video. Thanks brother you've helped me out.
Thanks dude, very helpful video, I'm definitely doing this
Hello great info but would it woke on a yx 140 i have a lighting stator installed
Thanks for that great tutorial. Do you know if you can also run a front and back light ?
so how would u hook up a rec if you don't have those 2 yellow wire ?
Cheers mate, your directions were spot on, mines flashy at low revs. wont be idling much though chur
Going through the comments there’s been a lot of people (mostly seems to be the 140cc motors from what I’m reading) that are having dimming issues with this set up. To get around this, I used the same wiring from the rectifier to wire in a 12v rc car battery, then simply run your power from the battery to your switch and lights. Definitely has been an awesome upgrade to have a headlight on my pit bike. Thank you for the simplification in this video. A lot of the reading I did online was vague and confusing until I saw you do it
@adamsquires1775 Have you got a link to the rc battery you used? Or could you point me in the right direction? Does it have to be a 4 wire battery and what size? I’m having problems with light flashing/flickering when at idle/low rpm using the same wiring as in this video.
Edge if the earth :) still one of my favorites
Anyone know if you could do the same wiring setup as the video only on an xmotos 125??
So the rectifier grounds its self through the chassis?
Have u anytime measured the output voltage coming from rectifier on positive wire. With load and without load what is the output voltage
Quite dangerous, the regulator does work somewhat but ive seen +25V coming through the regulator (up to 80V ac at the stator), it might have been a cheap regulator because it lets peaks and transients through, this is how i blew an led, adding a battery/ capacitor as a buffer will solve the problem
so if you do want a battery do the same thing but connecting to the battery and then battery to rectifier then rectifier to how ever many lights you want?
Have a up dated link to the the voltage regulator? Or the voltage rating it’s putting out? The supplied eBay link not available now..
thanks!
HI , DOES ANYONE KNOW ,WHAT WILL BE THE REGULATOR KIT FOR A APOLLO RFZ 125 (CHINESE DIRT BIKE) , IN ORDER TO PUT THE LIGHT ,THANKS
Could you run some turn signals as well as a headlight from that same rectifier?
Do you have to use the rectifier?
Def trying this out!
How would you hook it up if there was no on and off switch involved?
Just asking so I only need a switch regulator and wires I have a light but didn’t know how to connect s
I like your handlebars can you give me some information on what your risers are in the handlebars thanks
Do you have eletric start on your dirt bike? If so did you install it or did it come with it
I have a white and yellow wire, could that affect the way it works with the pink and yellow wires?
Does this work on the Apollo RZF?
What if u wanna add a tail light turn signals and a horn how would u do that ? Or do u need a battery
How did you wire them together? Did you splice them together or did you use connecters at the ends?
My only question is where are those 2 yellow wires comming off of to be able to use those on the lights ...im kinda knew to bikes but I got every thing I need ...just wanting to know what are those yellow wires leading from .speciffically
Quick question do all led bars have the same wires cause ive been looking no store shows what wires there are.
Explained it well enough
I did exactly as you stated but my light doesn't turn on, can you help? I have a switch that has a light in it when it turns on but nothing.
Brother ty so much I needed this 🙏
What do I do if I don’t have those extra wires? To be specific I have a 2013 crf80
is that key on power or constant... does it shut off when you turn key off? Im going to have to see what my crf110 has ... it DOES have a little 3 prong connector, I have not traced it to see what it actually is.
Brilliant video
How do I hook the taillight and headlight up to my bike if it does not have a pig tail? I have a key to start it but it is a Kickstart. Help!!!
Wow thanks I was looking to put a light on a 25 motor in a Suzuki rm125 frame thanks for that
Really helpful video
So it means that there are 2 voltage regulator in your bike or your just using same regulator for ignition?.
Where can I find that rectifier? Your link doesn't have it anymore
That is the best diagram iv ever seen that’s ace man 😂
LOL LOL LOL😁 the same LED light bar as I have and my outdoor EL-WHEELCHAIR 😂😍🥳
how could i add a brakelight & blinker on a ssr ? any input from anybody would be appreciated i already have the oem ssr headlight kit on
I hooked it up exactly like you did my lights turn on they flicker with the motor and then when I give it throttle the lights get brighter and burnout why please help
What parts will I need specifically. The ebay links are outdated
Hi can i weld on my pit bikes frame where do i look for the batry its my firts time dealing with bikes now nothing
So what do you do when you only have one spare wire available?
Will this work on my SSR 110 my wires are pink and yellow, thanks!
This work with the Apollos?
In case I only have one yellow wire. Coming from the stator, what then?
I have a green and a white wire is this possible for me to wire a led bar
How do you plug in more lights like signals tail light brake lights headlights turn signals horn how can I do all that without a battery how do you set yours up is it possible
Me puedes decir cuales son los repuestos para intalar una luz
Great job
i slapped a 18 inch light bar on my klx 140L for over a year now and its been working out great for me , i previously bought a light bar kit on ebay for dirtbikes but the LED light burnt out on the 2nd day ,. so i kept the button, wiring , bracket assesmbly on and jus replaced the bar. it turns night into day i kid you not, i cant even drive near the main roads with out traffic flickering their high beams at me as if too say ITS TOO DAMN BRIGHT! i made my a bracket out of a old metal tv wallmount i had laying around and it fit perfectly
Is there any other one for sale that will work for a ssr? If so reply with the link
Got my subscription. Thanks brother
Only get 3 v DC at idle have 7 v AC at idle
The most I get is 11v DC from the regulator when on the gas. Any suggestions?
Best video even for 5 pin regulators I used this info on my 200cc 4 stroke Lifan
Is that the manual or semi auto ssr 125cc?
Would it be possible run a tail light too?
Great video now I know. Have you done any mods to the air breather? I just do not like that cheap foam crap it comes with.
I need some help I connect the wires as you explained but the lights aren’t turning on
hi,, does anyone know from where does the 2 yellow cables originally start from?? my dirt bike doesnt have any type of connection for lights. thankss
The 2 yellow wires come from your stator plate so if you haven’t got any you need to get a stator plate that’s made for lights
This video was awesome thanks
Hast du einen Link? Zu dem Teilen für das Licht umzubauen?
Good video! Thx
Followed these steps but with different headlights(higher watts). I get headlights lit up when I Rev the bike. Anyone knows why? Can it be the wattage of the lights?
Back the volumes intro 🤙🏻
Is the rectifier something you added or relocation? And do you have to add one? Or can you skip that? And wire into existing wiring and leave it running as long as engine is on? Off when killed right?
I only have a positive running off the magneto and another wire that I think is a ground, do I wire those the same as the two yellows on yours?
Thanks very much really good video
Top notch shed life hack fella ! Ps the led flicker and the shutter speed are out of synchronization thats the double slit effect and quantum physics right before your eyes
and if I have a battery that I want to run in line so i can use my light without starting the bike? does the hot to the headlight just run to the battery first. Then a lead to the toggle then to the headlight?
08:26 whats that smoke from ur exhaust bandage?
Hey man so I did the same thing but i just put the positive and negative wire into the harness it was bright for 2 secs then went very dim still light but not bright at all
So can you skip the rectifier and the light switch and just run the light streight on the two unused yellow wires so it will always be on when the engine is running? Am I understanding this correctly the light will be weak on idle but will go brighter with engine revs without the rectifier.
No because the 2 yellow wires are ac and you need the rectifier to convert that to dc or you will just blow your light out.
Thanks for the vid... I am trying to do an enduro conversion for my pit bike! This helps a lot
@@rtfvox I've successfully installed a light on my bike already. The only issue i have is it being dim at idle and bright when throttle is on. Is there a way to fix it with a lower watt light or a compacitor. Everything i read online says its only possible with a battery or a ac current light setup
I'm having the same issue with the dimming and throttle, but have a rectifier in place. Can it be due to the light being 36W, I notice these smaller bars are only 18W.
@@comox_valley_gsxr I have a 18w 6" led bar with a rectifier. I may sound dumb but will it not be low beam at idle and higher beam when the throttle is on? And will it flicker?:
Does this work with the Taotao db17
Do you think this works on Ycf pilot
So is a Rectifier needed or is that just to make it not flicker and get brighter as you throttle up? Is it possible to just hook up a light and switch?
Hi mate I’ve just done this to my pit bike as I had a little light bar but it’s a 30w and the light comes on as the revs raise. So just wondering what watt and volt light you used. Cheers buddy
will a 2002 xr50 have the wires?
Hey i have a question why does the light flicker when riding
because you engine gives the elecrtocity to the ligh if you idle or have low rpm it may flicker
Any links for a voltage regulator. The one u posted says it's no longer available. Thx for ur time
Gonna put it on next week
I did this on my Apollo RFZ It comes stock with a 3 wire stator so I put in an upgraded 5 wire stator but anyway I tried using a GY6 rectifier and I couldn't get more than 3v out of it once it was hooked up so the light wouldn't work idk if it is the rectifier or the stator but if you have any pointers I'd take them.
wierd thing my bike is a 125 tdr pro you can find it on ebay but the frame looks identical even though mine is from 2011
I did it and it worked flawless my brake levers have light switches in them so I added a brake light too
AverageWhiteBoi there is also a blinker kit you can get but it's a little more complicated to put in
Hmm, I bought the same stuff. My coolster 125cc 2017 has 2 spare wires. A yellow/white. Connected those to the yellow and pink input on the rectifier, grounded the green. And my red wire is putting out -3v... hmm. Pretty frustrating, it’s only 4 wires and I can’t figure out why it’s not working
Poorsupra same mate I’ve got atomic 120cc soon as I connect regulator to bike it dies even if nothing connected to the 12v output on regulator so frustrating can’t figure it out
Try connecting only one of the wires to the regulator, and ground the other ac side on the regulator, at first i followed this tutorial but turned out wrong for some stators, (i chose white wire, a bit brighter than yellow),now can easily power a 55w halogen full brightness on idle,
I have a tao Tao 2017 I doesn’t seem to have those free wires, can I still connect a light without a battery ? Has someone done it ?
Been looking at videos to try and figure out how to do this. Never understood what to do until I just watched yours! Very well done! Thank you!
