As said, it was very close to being a production car but the recession hit and the project was cancelled. They started from scratch and made the second nsx. It's an amazing car but it would have been nice to have this as well
every time i watch a car video, i will go watch a clip of LFA and listen to the best exhaust on a road car. then i would come here and listen to the ultimate exhaust sound :P
Rumors are floating that Honda wants to bring the HSV to production (after nixing it in the past), but unfortunately not with the F1-sounding V8 here, rather a V10. This engine sounds amazing.
@Eddyatusabe no the HSV is not for sale which is the reason it was almost not allowed to race super GT. For super GT the car is supposed to be a current model of a existing car so it was almost shut down from the jump. But Honda does plan to release the car later when the economy gets better which is why it was allowed to race. They do not feel its a good time to release a super car with the economy the way it sits.
And to think that the production NSX is a twin turbo v6 hybrid and it could have had this magnificent engine. Honda/Acura please stop screwing fans over by doing this type of dumb crap. Even if you had to tone this beast down,the sound would make up for a performance lack. Now in 2023 the nsx is gone🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
my guess honda will put out either the HSV or the acura NSX, i can't imagine this company going all in with these two AMAZING cars in this economy. both are crazy awesome, but i'm sure both are gonna be quite expensive. i f-ing love both lol honda FTW
This car originally was designed as the new NSX, but for some reason they decided not too. Maybe afraid not sales due to many stupid brainer will say “ it’s a honda” yet honda and toyota resale value higher than all manufactures!
This car showed the world what cars honda can make 🔥
9 years later we have a v6 hybrid as an nsx
THIS is how I remember the HSV.
at one point did it never occur this would be amazing as a road car
Ameer Ramchand It did. But people kept bitching, "it's not a real nsx".
@@vynnxa6416 so the natural response was to make something even further removed from the original than this?
Economic crisis in 2008

This should’ve been Honda’s LFA
honda have a lot of cars sound like f1, correct my words
yess
it sounds sooooo good
probably the best v8 ever made
Honda was at full swing during 2010's on HSV with CRZ.
The current NSX is not bad, but this would’ve been a better successor
every time i watch a car video, i will go watch a clip of LFA and listen to the best exhaust on a road car. then i would come here and listen to the ultimate exhaust sound :P
some say the v-tec kicks in at 0001 rpm

Eargasm! One of my bucket lists is to track on Suzuka Circuit driving an NSEX-R in 🇯🇵®✔️🏁
Sounds exactly like a GP2 car. awesome.
finally, Alonso said the truth. gp2 engine on real honda car. I'ts the same sound
funnily enough, Nando did criticize the Honda Engines as "GP2 Engine"
I would trade my s2000, house and girlfriend for this car.

(174) Cara espetacular esse vídeo HS-V 0-10 (NSX) 👏👏👏 carro corre +500ps 240mph .
Maybe, it is a Honda but I'm not sure if the NSX GT 500 have VTEC either. Good question.
@AlcantaraLG motor ratativo..?
Behold the sound of HONDA!
Sound better than a lfa?
I bet it can do 200mph + easily.
Cool! : D
Put in production please!! And let it be ''affordable'' instead of the overpriced LFA so we can actually see and hear on in real life!

It was never put into production sadly, and was immediately outpaced by the Toyotas and Nissans

i hope his engine will go to the sauber team in f1.
that would be dope.
leave mclaren and let honda do its own thing where they are best at.
That would have been cool except F1 has been hybrid v6 for 5 years now..
Nice backfire 5:16
@AlcantaraLG it moves like a f1 car
MUSIC TO MY EARS!

im surprised they kept the double wishbone suspension setup!
@mugenJP it wouldn't fit in your EG. That's a 3.4L V8 in there LOL
0:49 sounds like a pod race! :0
Sounds more like an F1 car to me.
I'd like to put this engine in my RSX S :0)
JuicersSuck that would be a nice mod lol
@emtrixdk

There are also other factors, such as the financial crisis and the fact that this didn’t seem “worthy” as the NSX’s successor at the time.
lexus lfa what? if only this honda was in production lol
This…has a V8, right?
Yeah, there was a production model prototype that came with a v10 but that got cancel before it made it to actual production
honda is back f1.
i just jizzed in my pants
The only question that matters is can it drift?
Lol. Also wrong
