Хорошая защита велосипеда. Он надёжный, но тяжелый. Есть большая скоба. Она в оплётке, что меньше травмирует раму. Главная особенность велозамка - встроенная сигнализация. Громкость - 120дб. Заявленный калёный стержень диаметром 14мм, хотя по цвету не похоже на закалённость. Тяжело перекусить или перепилять из-за диаметра, но легко справится с ним аккумуляторная болгарка. Потому на него одного не надо надеятся. Секрет замка в стальном корпусе - тяжело высверлить (много-цилиндровый). Ключи с лазерной насечкой (5 шт). Есть крепеление для перевозки. В надёжности последней сомневаюсь. (крепление обычно ломается в месте крепления самого замка на крепление, а крепление остаётся невредимым висеть на раме.

I'm between this or the onguard folding lock 8114. Does this has a non-alarm locked mode? does the lock emit a warning or starts with the alarm straight away? THANK YOU
i know for sure that you can lock it in such a way that the alarm will be OFF. It works like a car alarm system. somehow similar - the first time you lock it it gives off a single beep (means it is locked with alarm ON). then you may turn the key back to unlock it and then lock it again and it will give off double beep (the second time it is locked without alarm - alarm is OFF). I'm not sure whether there is a warning signal. I will check within a few days. Maybe tomorrow. and will answer as quick as i can.

so is it better than Abus Granit 540?
Well, that rather depends on what features you value more. The Abus locks are said to have hardened steel and they claim that Abus locks are hardly possible to be broken or cut or whatever might be done to it. At the same time I really doubt that this lock has a hardened steel but the diameter of the U-lock bar is quite large and not every cutter can fit to cut it. On the other hand at the time the thief might probably try to start cutting the U-bar the lock will set off the alarm (that is really 100 dB or maybe 120 as its cover says). the sound is not pleasant at all - believe me. Also so there are more chances i guess that the thief'd rather leave your bike alone and retreat. also it's good to use some chain (6 or 8mm) together with this lock. The lock fixes your bike to some immovable object and the chain secures the wheels and fixes the bike to the immovable object as well. also it's preferable to have one more lock on your wheel. just as a surprise for the thief who has been so persistent to overcome all the obstacles with the previous lock. moreover, by the time he copes with the lock and the chain you might be just in time to hear the alarm and come to save your property )))

So Abus is better than Onguard but I think for a thief it would be more difficult to steal ulock that has an alarm in it. Unless it's easy to smash this alarm.
as i said before - the steel of the Onguard lock doesn't seem to be hardened. and it is more likely to need only one cut to unlock the bike. But don't forget that it's HIGHLY recommended to have not one lock. Better 2. i personally have 3. one is the Onguard shown in the video. the other is the one put on the rotor and the 3rd one is permanently fixed to the bike and it locks the back wheel. i've got a chain of hardened steel as well. and let's not forget the alarm which is going to attract public's attention and most likely ME with a bat and hard fists to rip the attackers head off. I am looking very close now at GPS trackers (for the bikes) at the moment. Maybe you should also have a look at them as an additional protection device. sorry for not answering for so long. was quite busy. onguard was grinded in 37s with one cut, abus 53s with two cuts, that's why I think it's hardened. Here's another vieo whre it takes much longer:

you'd need a big power bank and a sim card. And thief can smash dps devices. I don't know how hard can be to smash onguard alarm.

Газовая горелка и до свидания сигналка. Все эти замки это защита от непросвещённых во взломе людей. Тот, кто задался целью, украдёт любой вел. А от того, кто без цели, то есть матчасть не изучал, достаточно простого замка.
простой у меня уже был. (трос толщиной с большой палец.) зашел в магазин на 8 минут (на записях видеонаблюдения видно). Перекусили в 2 счёта. пружынный трос раскрылся, как бы сам освобождая путь угонщикам. Вел уехал. и как сказали полиция потом приехавшая на место - спасает цепь и большие замки. Цепь закалённая (проверял болгаркой). Обмотатся как надо. +замок на неё. плюс орёт на ухо. +замок штатный на заднем колесе + на переднее на ротор. И я так понимаю, подходит "прохожий вор" достаёт из кармана горелку ли болгарку и начинает отпиливать цепь, разматывает её, отпиливает замок на роторе, снимает его и распиливает замок на заднем колесе в 2х местах (его так просто не снять даже если распилить) и довольный уезжает на (можно сказать) "добытом" трофее. ЧТО?. естественно идин замок не панацея. я так думал раньше. и поплатился. да и всё вышеуказанное не гарантия. Это скорее шанс того что его обойдут мимо и поищут что-то по-легче (ведь чтобы убежать от медведя не надо бежать быстрее медведя, надо бежать быстрее вашего друга ))). Ну а если нацелятся именно на ваш ВЕЛотранспорт, поверьте, дождутся пока вы откроете все замки, подойдут и сделают предложение, от которого вы не сможете отказаться. )))
@@renatgism8264 это потрясающий ответ. Браво!!! Вы лучший. 👍👍👍 столько замков вешать только если на день оставлять. А каждый раз у магазина на 5 минут не напристегиваешься. Пожалуй тогда лучше вел дешёвый купить... 😊
@@Leonid_Abel я курьер и у меня электровел- так вот я тоже на два замка + сигнализация + gps. стырить велик у меня в сотни раз сложнее чем у коллег у которых велы не дешевле и замок один Абус цепь 4 мм.
Следуя такой логике то и машину любую угнать могут, и квартиру вскрыть, и сейф с деньгами. Все прекрасно понимают, что усли жулик просвящен, ему преграды любые по плечу.

возможно. Не могу отрицать, не проверял. Но один замок не выход. Надо по возможности ещё цепь которая будет держать в крепких объятиях разные детали вашего охраняемого жеребца. а ещё можно бы ещё и небольшой замок на ротор или на колесо. И тогда шансов прийти и не обнаружить родимого значительно меньше.
