Adam, I have liked Savages back when 10/10 people called them junk for how cheap they cost. I've gotta say I've never owned one that shot bad, ALL good. Excellent boolot sling'n brother!!!👍👍

I remember my dad's disappointment when I bought a Savage model 10 predator(he would ONLY carry a Remington). His attitude changed when it shot clover leafs at 100 yards.

Had a savage aXIS II in 25-06, shot same hole at 50 yds, looked like a shotgun at 100 no matter the ammo, factory, reloads etc... bought a second 1, same problem.

Same. I have a 110 Predator in .223 that can make one hole out of 5 shots with 69gr Sierra HPBT, and then did the same with 60gr Hornady V-Max’s. Love my Savage rifle.

You are a hunter shooting deer catching boolot slingers. This is some of the best groups I've seen you shoot and from a store bought savage and from store bought boolots. Great thing with that rifle is that it's a 308 and it will shoot about anything at 100yds. If you go off somewhere and forget your boolots and it does happen, you can find a box of 308 about anywhere and that boolot slinger will sling about anything. I watch your videos everyday. May be 2 in the morning when I'm on nights but I do watch. Keep doing what you're doing the way you want to do it.

Great rifles....but yes, as others have stated, it is heavy for a "High Country" rifle. If you want a light Savage....the ultralight is the way to go. They shoot great as well.

In 2003, after much comparison, I went and bought a Savage 116FCSS with a custom factory profile barrel and woodland camo stock, at that point you couldn't even hardly find a scope mount to bolt on it because it was so new, but once I found one, I've never looked back. I sold all my other brands in favor of just this one in 300 win mag. It'll do everything from varmints to moose and 100 yd to a thousand.. All day long

Your unsubstantiated statement clearly showing your uneducated biased snobbish attitude. Since 1894 Savage has been producing excellent firearms, let alone military barrels & ammo design and sales. Purchasing Stevens, Fox, Cresent and keeping these high-quality firearms in production. From Mosin's, Browning 50's and Tommygun production.....understand my reasoning yet?????

I need to take my Storm in 25-06 back out to the range. It shot pretty good, even with PPU ammo. I have not used a lead sled as I cannot get comfy behind one. Front bag only, as that is the closest to deer stand shooting style for me. Ammo price has come down some, but still up in the clouds. Considering trying some ELD-X and others, although Hornady Whitetail are pretty consistent and the price is $weet.😊

I convinced my brother and two of my nephews to try Savage. They all were surprised. My brother has a 284AI and he uses it for everything now. My nephews bought 308s, same. Yes, you can have under an inch in Savage rifles with the right load. For dollars spent, the best value out there. If I "needed" another rifle, or if I just want another rifle, it WILL be a Savage. However, I have too many adequate rifles now.

How 'bout an experiment. This is based on a video I saw over on Backfire. His was based on someone else's experience. Clean the barrel, foul with copper, and shoot a couple more groups with copper only.. The theory is some rifles don't like the mixing of copper and lead projectiles and the copper after lead is less precise than copper from copper only rifles.

I have 3 other savage rifles in the 110 series and they are shooters out of the box. I have 2 axis forst models i did some work on them replaced the 8lb triggers put them in wood stocks, stress free pillar and epoxy bedded and they flat shoot. I want to play with the mossberg patriot in wood stock now. Backfire had one that was garbage and a few other people have had horrible luck with them. I want to take one apart, check the trueness of the action/barrel and see why they are having problems. Yiu had one that shot pretty well i believe.

I have a 110 Hog hunter 308, its accuracy is on par with your high country. 130 gr ttsx loaded to 3100fps is a winner.

I have the 110 High country in 7mag. It shoots sub “.5 with 175gr ABLRs and even sub .5” with 168gr ABLRS. It’s a tax driver and deer and elk slayer! I get sub 1” at over 200 yards.

At least this ammo is reasonably available. Some of the other brands are just not on the shelf.
