Today I decided share my experience of using Gucci Horsebit shoes: Jordaan, Brixton loafers, and Princetown mules.

OMG, yes yes and also yes! After experiencing several other high end brands’ shoes, I still think Gucci loafers are one of the best: in top three for sure. They are extremely comfortable, simple yet chic. I get more use of taupe version of Princetown and they go literally with everything. So versatile! Definitely one of my best investment pieces for sure.

You mentioned you wear these with no show socks. Is this because they are not breathable and cause excessive perspiration? Also, do they cause odour issues if worn constantly?

Yes, indeed I do wear all of my loafers with sheer-no show socks just because I prefer wearing shoes with socks. At the same time sheer socks don’t make me feel like I am wearing socks while they help both my feet and shoes being protected (finding a good sheer-no show socks is a must because a lot of them slip off in the shoes).
I personally prefer wearing shoes with socks although my feet don’t really sweat. It’s hygienic: I can wash the socks regularly whenever I want to. In contrast I can’t really fully clean the shoes as much as I do with the socks. Also, I really do believe that bare feet always leave mark regardless of what we do.
For the reference, I do wear my Princetowns without socks.
About the breathability of the shoes, they are fine and very well made. However, if someone who lives in hot climate weather, I do see they are being little bit heavy on the feet. Especially the Jordaans and Brixtons. However, I think the Princetowns should be fine.
Non of my shoes have developed any odor/smell just yet. I was sort of worried at first with my Princetowns since I wear them without socks. However, they are still in pretty good condition and don’t have any odors. But I do clean them occasionally inside and out with soft cloth.

since you have both the jordaans and brixton, which do you recommend? do you think they look exactly the same (aside from the perforations that the brixton has)?
i kind of notice that jordaan looks more structured and more like a mans shoe, so i’m leaning towards brixton but i also don’t want my brixtons to look old and worn since the leathers so soft. any input is appreciated!!

So, I would say it depends on the color you are going for.
I personally suggest if you are planning to get them in black color, go for Jordaan. On the other hand, if you are planning other colors, Brixton is a great choice!
I do feel like Jordaan gives more dressed up and sleek look versus Brixtons are more laid back, smart causal look for sure.

I love watching Gucci shoes reviews. I have the Princetown mules: red, black, black with web and in taupe. I absolutely love them and I agree with you about how classic and stylish they are.
I live in the UK and look forward to even a hint of good weather so I wear them. They are pricey but such a staple item. I have the jordaans too (In black)
I wear them and pack them away with such care in order to preserve them.

I love them too and they are still my favorites!
I prefer to wear my loafers with socks and with these I wear sheer and no show socks in black or beige. I got mine from Amazon.
However, with Princetowns I wear them without socks.
