For theory 6 : Maybe when she's calm, her quills looks likes hair and they're safe. But when she's scared, anxious or stressed, her quills tense and become sharper.

In real life porcupines raise their quills and get easily detachable when they're stressed or feel threatened but for the most part hidden in their fur when they're calm
Here's my theory:
I think that there was a point in time where everything in HTF Land was normal: when you die, you're dead. Permanently. You get injured, you stay like that. Well, as we saw in Blast From the Past, they got stuck in a loop. I think that when Sniffles went back in time and repeated that, it messed up the timeline and got everyone stuck in a loop as well. That would explain how everyone respawns in every episode after they die. It also explains why most of them have more watered down reactions to seeing each other die, since they've gotten used to it. They know they'll come back eventually. They can still do different things (hence why they don't just do the merry-go-round) since they come back the next day, too. So in short, Sniffles kinda doomed everyone by trying to fix everything.
A few other things: I think Handy lost his hands in a work accident (since that sounds likely) before the time loop happened, which would explain why his hands don't come back. Flaky is self-aware of everything going on since she's more prone to notice stuff like that, hence why she's terrified of everything and how she remembers Flippy's PTSD. And finally... Cub's mom. Same situation as Handy. She died before the time loop, so she's dead for reals.

Given that Flippy's thing is that he thinks he's in danger and he won't attack people who can't defend themselves (like Cub), I like to imagine that some non-anthropomorphic animals are safe. (Like, small, non-threatening animals.)
So unless he finds penguins potentially threatening or that penguin was angry at or scared of him and reacting accordingly, I don't think he'd hurt a penguin

Wait I have a theory about how Handy lost his hands: In wrong side of the tracks Cuddles and Handy are on a rollercoaster and in the glass/crystal part Cuddles loses his arms and Handy laughs at him. Maybe Handy laughed at Cuddles becouse Handy lost his arms in the same way and now he finds it funny that Cuddles would (if he survived) have to go trough the same thing as Handy did

I have a theory that Happy Tree friends was supposed to be a preschool cartoon but something went wrong and the cartoon ended up being cursed. The curse is that everyone there dies every day and forgets about it, but for some reason, Flaky can remember everything that happened. Flaky is aware of what's happening and they're just stuck in that terrible cycle. It would explain why flaky is so cowardly and why they were afraid of Flippy and kept imagining him attacking them. They saw it happen and they remembered. I guess you could say that Flippy's trauma had traumatized them

Theory on why handy has no hands:
I like to believe that flippy flipped out at some point in the past, and cut off handy's hands. After this, flippy began mocking him and nicknamed him "handy", a nickname that stuck. Flippy eventually flipped back and felt really bad, so he always tried to cheer handy up. But, like we saw at the beginning of double whammy when flippy gave handy a Styrofoam hand as a carnival prize, these attempts always backfired, and that's why handy is so bitter all the time. He believes everyone is trying to mock him, because everyone calls him by his nickname.

Theory: The reason why everyone keeps return to life is most likely either by Sniffles, as he’s shown in a whole episode (Blast From The Past) travelling in the time to save Cuddles, Toothy, Giggles and Lumpy, either Splendid as he’s shown in Better Off Bread to be able of rewinds time so he would use this capacity when everyone dies, either the cursed doll as it won’t be surprising that it can rewind the time(wich may explain how everyone are back after Class Act where both Sniffles and Splendid died), and it may just be all three

I have a theory that lumpy might actually be a serial killer but pretends to be stupid because in his past some of the Happy tree Friends characters like giggles, cuddles and toothy made fun of him for looking stupid.
This theory about Nuttuy seems really legitimate! There is actually another moment that you forgotten about Nutty trying to cut his addiction, in the episode Chew Said A Mouthful Nuttuy, when try to sweeten his drink he picks only a spoon of sugar of course he later pick the entire glass container, but at lest he tried to lol 😂

The penguin theory is actually kinda great and interesting but also like, kinda wrong? (Because of war code)
Maybe Fliqpy cutting the penguin's guts open were a metaphore to "Hey, they're dead! And it's your fault!", maybe they were crushed or killed by something and Flippy didn't have the time to save them and he holds that guilt in his conscience. Or maybe he actually killed them on accident and he holds that guilt.
There's also a chance he had them *before* joining the military.
I don't know if this has been theorized by anyone else but... What if the idol is the reason they seem to be in a constant death loop? It clearly causes a lot of problems in the episodes it's in. Maybe all of the deaths are caused by whatever deity the idol was made for

I have a theory. So it seems flaky is the only one who knows flippy has ptsd right? Well I don’t think that is the case. I think sniffles knows too. I’m the episode dream job,sniffles has a dream of him being beheaded. If you look closely, you see that flippy is the Executioner. We can’t see his face but we can see his clothes and color. Now if sniffles was not scared of him or knew he had ptsd,why would he have a dream like that?
A theory I just came up with is that what if flaky never had anxiety, maybe she got head trauma and now she’s shy.
Theory:What if the monster was _actually_ cub's mom, here's how I think it is:

I think Happy Tree Friends is just a stage play, cause it’s the only way that could explain all the stuff that happens, and whenever Flippy Flips out. He’s always off screen, the screen flashes, or it closes up on Flippy’s Face, so maybe Fliqpy is Flippy’s twin brother.

I have a very good theory
The reason the characters seem to die but just come back, this may be because the timeline resets but this raises the question why is flaky so scared and more self aware than any other character, this may mean that flaky remembers everything, she always on the edge and anxious is because she is afraid of it all starting over, the fear of pain and suffering would put anyone on edge, constantly trying to get away and find an escape but no way out, flaky is aware and watching she knows about everything, she's afraid of it happening again, the only way to stop the pain is for YOU the viewer to stop watching, but there is an inevitable of the fact that it will never end ever.

In nearly every episode, the HTF world resets.
There is a huge list of reasons why the series would not make sense if there is one single timeline. Flaky shows the signs of generalised anxiety disorder, it makes you over concerned about things and makes you think about the possible worse case scenarios, that's why she acts nervous in multiple situations. Plus if she some how knew about previous episodes, why is she often trying new things and trying to overcome her fears, instead of just avoiding any dangerous situation.
I have heard that the Idol found in an episode is the cause of the deaths bc it give bad luck and every time that they die it make them come back and forget everything,well just Flaky seems remember her deaths from Flippy(Fliqpy).So I believe the Idol's theory.

I have a theory that the reason flippy and fliqpy are so unstable is due to the influence of the cursed idol.

I like your theory better than my theory but with my theory it was proven to be more fact in the episode double whammy I had a theory that fliqpy isn't real and he was just a fragment of flippys imagination as well as flippy having ptsd from being in a war and whenever he hears or sees something resembling war he flips out and flakey is aware that flippy has ptsd and is scared of him cause she knows what flippy does when he flips out from either hearing flippy flip out or seeing flippy flip out herself and flakey could be uncomfortable with flippys ptsd cause normally people feels uncomfortable with someone who has ptsd cause they don't know if they're gonna flip out or not
New theory: Why is Lumpy the only animal in the entire series (Excluding Mr Pickle) whose body isn't like the rest. For example; Cuddles, Giggles, and Toothy all have round bodies while Lumpy's body is more thin and stretched. Please take this into consideration.

It makes more sense that some characters in Happy Tree Friends have defensive organs depending on what Animal they are. For example: Petunia could have a scent gland that allows her to spray others for self defense.

I have a theory: i think they are just acting and the show actually exists in the universe, i know because they twitch and lots and stuff that seems impossible happens like in I nub you.

Edit: two things I could think of is. Either she died not long after giving birth to Cub or she died from illness & serious accident that fatally wounded her. Those are the best I got
Everyone gets fatal wounds in this show or dies, and then they are OK in the next episodes. What if childbirth and illnesses could be an exception?
My theory is that each tree friend did something horrible in life and were killed soon after, and were sent to a hellscape mimicking their home. It explains why Handy's hands don't grow back and why Pop's wife (Cub's mother) hasn't come back to life.

I don't know about one representing Sneaky, but the idea of them representing other characters is an interesting idea that is possible. I did not think about that, nice theory :)
Maybe Handy lost his arms because he does his job like building a house for Petunia, Giggles,...., but the show doesn’t want to show he was doing his job with his arms, that is why he always forget he does’t have arms.

porcupine quills are usually soft KINDA like fur but when when they're startled they get all sharp and stuff

I've always found weird how inconsistent Flaky's quills are. In Snow Place to Go, everybody pushes her with their bare hands but none of them got stabbed by her quills, and in the same episode Flaky's quills got stuck on the ice floor. I can't attribute it to "her quills stiffen when she's scared, that's why her quills got stuck on the ice" because she was already pretty nervious when everyone pushed her to go for the can of food
I like to think they stiffen when she's really, really scared. She can manage the quills to some degree even when scared.
Fun fact: the characters in HTF are immortal because every episode they die and come back the next one, this is very similar to Kenny from south park where he dies every episode too.

Porcupines' quills are always sharp, but when they are calm they're layed down against their bodies, making them even pettable if you're careful enough. However, when scared, provoked or endangered, porcupines will raise their quills to scare off whatever they feel threatened by. It's similar to what you said, but I doubt it's Flaky's ability to "retract" them, more like their porcupine natural instinct to raise them when they feel stressed - which is almost always.
Her quills do burst the floaties though. And Lumpy is wearing it right side and he’s likely gentle.

Theory of mine: Handy didn’t just lose his arms but he lost his ears because I don’t remember what episode it was but when you see Handy without his hard hat you see no ears.
But in "blind date" as soon as moles car hit the car handy is fixing as soon as the car lid opens you so handy with ears

I have a pretty good theory, It's that the whole show takes place in either Purgatory, or Flaky's nightmares, for the purgatory theory i believe that everyone has already died, and that their frequent deaths are similar to how they actually died, Cuddles: Was stabbed by a serial killer, possibly resulting in his deaths commonly involving sharp objects. Toothy: Eye was gouged in an incident, as his eye injuries/deaths are the most frequent. Giggles: possibly killed in a cooking accident. Petunia: O.C.D. induced heart attack. The mole: Walking into traffic. Disco bear: Fell out of the window while dancing. Flippy: died in war. Lifty & Shifty: shot down by police, Flaky: Fatal shock. Lumpy: His own clumsiness. Pop & Cub: Died in a car crash while pop was texting at the wheel. Sniffles: Experiment gone wrong. (possibly by ants) Mime: Died getting impaled through his neck & voicebox. (possibly playing a part in his silence) Nutty: overdosed on candy. Splendid: Didn't die but he is an angel from heaven. Cro-Marmot: Frozen to death.
For the Nightmare theory, Flaky might have recurring nightmares, which means the deaths weren't real, just all illusions created by her mind, and flippy might not have his Fliqpy side. all of the episodes might be in her mind.
I have a possible another theory in the episode shard at work while Handy was trying to get the fish bowl off his head. I noticed a ship in a bottle, and I knew it belonged to russell immediately. So maybe Handy and Russell may have been friends. Before the series started??
I'm surprised that not one of your theories had anything to do with the characters coming back from the dead for future episodes yet Pop's wife is still dead.
I think that is way more interesting then anything else in the show, and I'm probably not the only person to question this.
What strange force is constantly resurrecting every character for their next appearance in later episodes, but not pop's wife? Is permanent death really a thing in this show? Is any of the characters in show even aware of this?

When I rewatched the scene when disco bear gets sprayed by petunia I usually thought that it was pepper spray but then rewatching it so many times I remembered that petunia is a skunk so she probably sprayed disco bear but tbh I don’t really know

I have a theory that the monster in cubtronZ is actually pops wife and everyone thinks she is dead maybe she was reborn as a monster and she probably remember'd her past life being with pop
I'm curious how Handy lost his handy lost his hands and why he didn't get them back after the world reset.
Handy having nubs and his bondages are a big part of his design and personality, so we will probably never see his lower arms back. And we will probably never know exactly what caused his loss of lower arms, due to the fact in every episode he always has bandages, which means that he lost them recently and it explains why he keeps forgetting.

I have a theory that the animals in the show aren’t actually animals and are people dressed as animals. The reason I theorize this, is because most of the characters have undetailed feet, and differently colored soles.

You might ask well in the intro the characters are sitting in front of an tv and watching what happens.what if giggles ,petunia and other characters made a show which involves them dying and harming themselves.And if we look at flaky shes Always scared maybe thats because flaly thougt that with the show was a bad idea so they put her in the cartoon but shes always scared like in the first episode when she thought it was a bad idea to go on the Rollercoaster proof me wrong
