🎭 Introducing - in all his three-dimensional glory! - the radical poet and printer William Blake.
This life mask was made in 1823 by James S. De Ville and is one of two known life masks made of Blake. De ville was a sculptor, plaster-caster and museum-owner. In fact, his London museum housed over 5000 phrenological casts like this one. That’s a lot of faces!
đŸȘ Come and get a closer look at Blake for yourself and see the life mask on display in our new exhibition, ‘William Blake’s Universe’.
🔗 Book your tickets in advance to guarantee entry at your preferred time. Walk-up tickets are available for dates that are fully-booked online, but you may need to wait during busy times.
