Kirby has built a machine at UGA. Great recruiter, motivator, and defensive mind. He knows where the pitfalls lie and has the foresight to address issues like complacency before they can undermine his teams. He also clearly understands the importance of consistency and staff retention. As a UGA fan I have never been so optimistic on the state of our program and team. Go Dawgs!

Kirby Smart now has the Georgia football program not only to where so many of us thought that Georgia always could be, but he has definitely EXCEEDED so many of the life-long diehards (like me - 53 years of Georgia fan hood since September of 1970) and now?, this current state of the Georgia Bulldogs football empire that has been built by Kirby Smart is simply surreal!!!! GO DAWGS!!!

@@bobbysmith3196 Rattler has always had the talent, but he gets Rattled easily. I watched him play at Oklahoma vs WV. I knew he was going to throw interceptions last year. But it looks like he finally got out of his own head towards the last few games. If he can keep that confidence, y’all will be better than people expect.

Yea he sure did use the saban blue print. Using the same 3-4 defense nick created with bill bilichick back in the 90s. Using the same balanced pro style smash mouth offense favoring tight ends over wide outs saban used up until the last 2 years and is now reverting back to. Georgia will go 12-0 in the regular season. The real concern is winning the SEC championship if things go the way people predict and there’s a clear contender from each conference.
@@dragonsurge1 UGA hasn’t lost a game in the regular season in two years. They will go 11-1, but remain my favorite to win it all and make history.
I am more worried about our NT and DT position. We should have good pass rush with Mykel and company but losing Carter and Alexander on the interior is a concern.

@paulshears5202 All Kirby learned from Saban is what Kirby already had in himself, which is just to hone in his leadership and recruiting skills. The defensive mind and attitude were already there as he was a defensive player for tha Dawgs. Kirby uses different defensive combos and let's his coaches coach. And him being 1 and 4 is just the rise and lowering of the talent and the big plays so far, as they should have won the natty in I think 2017 and Kirby has 3 instead of 2.
Good for Kirby and good to see some success at UGA after 4 plus decades with limited success.
Like all coaches in every conference, we all EXPECT KIRBY TO DEFEND HIS THUGS.
I DISAGREE WITH HIS MAIN CONCERN - PLAYER SAFETY.
If these ENTITLED PAMPERED PRIVILEGED ELITISTS CHOOSE STUPIDITY, I’m fine with that IF IT ONLY AFFECTS THEM. If they want to go 110 MPH into a tree when they’re drunk, high or sober, it’s sad but their choice SO I DON’T CARE.
But when these animals (from THEIR REPEATED BEHAVIOR CHOICES) COULD KILL INNOCENT BYSTANDERS INCLUDING FELLOW STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND CHILDREN, then I have a major problem and they should be sent to prison if they perpetrate one of those preventable tragedies. But if they just drive fast and don’t harm anyone (unlike Riggs III at Alabama) then they can LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKE THAT HAD NO IRREVERSIBLE TRAGIC CONSEQUENCES …. THIS ONE TIME. But if they continue those bad choices there eventually will be a tragic outcome.
How many alcoholics who have driven drunk hundreds or thousands of times, whine that “anybody can make a mistake” when they eventually kill innocent people. By repeating the behavior of drunk driving many times they obviously have NO REMORSE. They are “just sorry they got caught.”
