Russia wouldn't have went into the Ukraine, had America not kept on insisting that Ukraine join nato in the first place! Putting nuclear weapons on Russian border, is absolutely unacceptable behavior by our government. That's like Russia wanting to put nuclear weapons in Canada or Mexico.
Except that is not exactly true. Russia came to Ukraine and said "give up your nuclear weapons and we won't invade you". Ukraine gave up the weapons and Russia invaded a now non-nuclear Ukraine.

WW2 would never have happened if when Hitler ordered the German army to occupy the Rhineland, the French Army and her allies would have attacked Germany and disarmed her then small army. Their politicians, occupied with internal issues, caught off guard and unprepared did nothing in 2014! This encouraged Putin to keep expanding to where we are now. The Ukraine has the right to follow its path to a future that its people want. And the free nations of NATO have every right to negotiate any future with the Ukraine is they choose to do so. Russia has no say in the matter. The Ukrainian people saw the wealth that the Poles created for themselves after getting out from under the boot of the Soviets, and they wanted to do the same. But they could not until they ejected Putin's puppet Gov't with an election. So Putin invaded the Crimea in 2014m and the rest of Ukraine in 2022. He completely misjudged the political climate at the time, 52 nations stand behind Ukraine defending itself, and now Putin has screwed himself royally.

You don't understand how these aid packages work. We have given them dated munitions from our stockpile. All of the money you hear attached to these goes to American manufacturing to produce current generation replacements. It is a win no matter how you cut it. We are supporting the severe depletion of what had previously been looked at as a near pear enemy without any loss of life to our own forces, and we get every aid dollar that acts as an expansion of our own defense spending.

Aren't you aware of how the rank structure works in the military? There are approximately 900 Active-duty general/flag officers (GO/FOs) in the US military, out of a total of 1.3 million troops. This is a ratio of 1 GO/FO for every 1,400 troops. Every major specialty to include administrative functions has at least a 4-star heading them, and each major command has Generals of all ranks. Public affairs is no different.
