Love your layout Eric, been following you for a while on Facebook, big fan of all your Chiltern stock! Nice to see a proper tour of your layout!
Joe
Dudley Central thanks Joe! I need to finish them really! Aswell as do a mk3 coach set to go with the 68!
Great to see. But like to see the tube trains running.
Brilliant, love the attention to detail. Was the 3D printed body downloaded or is it one of your own?
Great layout mate some great detail.
Thanks very much!
Really good update Eric. Loving the GPS and theatre light.
Thankyou!
Love the look of your layout. loads of details added... Steve
Broughton MCR thanks steve!!!
The WWS Static Grass applicators are really good. Make sure you use a decent battery. No pound land stuff.
Cheers mate need to give one a go. Il probably scrape up whats in the sidings and try again
Really enjoyed this update lots of inspiration for my own layout
Yorkshire Lad thankyou! Its deffo changed a bit!
Having seen your video I’ve gone for a digikeijs setup - lighting v cool!
Its expensive but really brings it to life having day & night cycles!
Bostin layout - seriously impressive!
tommartin5 appreciate it, thanks!
Love your layout 😍😍
Thanks!
Great video stunning love it , defo going to get myself a battery loco for my lu layout . Looks super , the light setting is great . I have the dr500 on one of my layouts . May need to do that with the lights
Cheers dude. Go for it!
Yeah the lighting controller is expensive but its really cool to have
Eric French ahh that don’t matter , I train I had to sell and arm and leg for with the DR5000 . I will have to sell another arm or something 😂 who makes it ?
Its by digikeijs, i think its about £120. Which is mental for what it is, but hey ho 🤷🏼♂️
If you have a layout with a boxed in style baseboards like mine then they are great for it
Eric French mad but worth it I’m may order one from my supplier . Crazy prices now by makes it all worthwhile I guess . Looks good . I have loads of layouts so may invest in some for a few as i like that . My bank will hate me 😂
looking good! i'm following this one. looks interesting.
Thanks!
Wish they could actually make a train station in London would help out so much closes station is Ricky or Ruislip
Great stuff mate
Thanks
Really enjoyable update. Looking forward to the NMT review as I'm thinking of getting one of those. Did you use code 75 or 100 on the layout?
Thanks! Yeah should be a popular one i think.
Its all code 100! With the sleepers spaced and rails painted i dont think it looks any worse than 75, plus some of my kit built stuff needs 100 anyway due to the wheels!
And also Peco make a very good static grass aplicator, I have one
Where did you get the 3d printed tube train kit? All looks fabulous! Can't wait for the next one!
3d printed ones from metromodels, resin ones from radley
@@UndergroundEric thanks
amazing layout! been following the progress on instagram! are we goin go to be seeing a rolling stock collection video?
Thankyou! Yes indeed. That will likely be the next video!
You could try and add a helix so it doesn’t have to be end to end, if you can fit it🤣
Mate thats exactly what i would do if i could fit it in! Sad times
That “friend” who sold ya the 150/2 was his name talon by chance😂
Haha maybe 👀
I need some help can you show how to wire the signals I’ve been really struggling
Mine will be wired into a signal decoder at some point, but for now, ive just got the positive onto the bus wire, and the negative to a switch
Do the signals come with the led
No mate, i got the leds from a supplier online. They are 3mm
It doesn't look very 'under ground' to me. This should be called - Eric Overground. Where are the tubes, the labyrinth of connecting tunnels, the deep tube stations, the scary underground junctions?
.
Why not set up a real underground diorama, with the 'overground' station on the top level? Use a hidden helical to cycle the trains from ground level (top most level) to below. The fun will be had, using a front/rear CCD camera on several of the trains, using the video to either record or drive the trains.
.
As it stands, you've got a lot of wasted space and your layout is mostly a station, with limited track runs. BE BOLD, THINK BIG, THINK ENGINEERING.
The London Underground is iconic amongst city transit systems, pay homage to its age and complexity.
How about you go build your own?
If you spent less time moaning you may realise that over half of the london underground is infact - over ground.
