  • Oscar-winning actor Geoffrey Rush was "delivering his lines" during a defamation trial and the career damage caused by a Daily Telegraph article was overstated, an appeal hearing has been told.
In April, Justice Michael Wigney found the newspaper's publisher, Nationwide News, and journalist Jonathon Moran had defamed Mr Rush by accusing him of inappropriate behaviour during a production of King Lear.
Mr Rush, who is in court for the appeal, vehemently denies the claims.
