After about 5,5 years I beat the old World Record by nearly 6 minutes in a run I'am finally proud of.
Another overworld routing, much better use of some P-Acorns and a lot of other smaller and bigger new strats are in this run. I hope you enjoy watching!

I'm surprise about how useful the spinning is in combination with the flying squirrel power. Much more interesting than the helicopter power in the wii version.
The propeller mushroom does appear in this game too, but it doesn’t appear as often as it did before.

Spinning in the squirrel acorn is the highest jump you can do, and it's still fast

im sure this isnt the most recent record but its my favorite video on this game still. thanks for uploading it with timestamps and raw footage! this is a level of talent and attention thats almost absurd, but i can still tell a human played the game. beautiful run.
Just recently 100%’d this awesome game, super impressive how you were able to to it in less than 3 and a half hours!
This was a really cool run to watch. It was interesting to see how you would fly through the stages where it would have you ride something (like the coaster, green blocks in soda jungle’s fortress, etc). Major props because I can only imagine how long this must’ve taken 🙌 I mean, you managed to clear pendulum castle in one go. That stage took me a frustrating amount of tries lol. You’ve got skills!

Im watching 3 years later and this was so happy to watch. I miss the old times when I played this with my brother. We spent hours on this game. Now is 2022 we are bored out of our minds. This helped me alot, thank you.

yo I just 100% this game, and it took me quite a bit. but seeing it completed it in a little over three hours is just baffling to me, this is so amazing perfect job

the best thing about speed runs is that no matter what you do i will believe that it was deliberate and planned. lose item? planned. die 20 times? planned. game glitches and deletes entire history? planned, practiced and rehearsed.
if you beat the final boss as nabbit you can see him in the background of mario saving peach (for people who didnt know)
if you beat him with any character he’s in the background, not just nabbit
20 mins in watching and all I can say is wow 🤩 I can’t even get past world one in 30 minutes let alone all secret ways and coins 😭💀

I will be learning this category on the Switch version. NSMBU DX. I haven't really ever run this game before. But I will hopefully see you on the leaderboards at some point.
I have NSMBU DX and I have been attempting 100% speedruns of the game. I don't have the version this speedrun was played on.
I do have some experience with speed running. I use this tactic when I practice: When you go into the pipe that takes you to the desert’s secret level. You don’t have to go small to get under the 1-block gap, you can just run towards it then crouch, this will let you slide under the small gap. For me this saves a little near 30 seconds
hm. Yeah for a Run like All Castles, you can do that. But for 100% you need all Star Coins. And for the third coin, you need to be Mini Mario.
You could just run fast, it would be easy as mario without any power-ups I don't think you would have to crouch underneath. And you could just run fast and hope you get lucky I guess.

I beat the one for the switch 100% story mode, five stars and its almost exactly the same you can just play as two more characters. I can't imagine beating it this fast though.

You can cheese the second bowser jr. fight by dying after the last checkpoint, equipping a superstar in the overworld and getting back to the level, then just touch bowser jr in time and you beat him

I beat worlds 1-8 100% in 5:06:06.58. I'd like to think it was pretty decent for mah first attempt at speedrunning anything ever, then I saw this and all my hopes and dreams were shattered.
For the first try, it is a really good time.
