- hey guys... getting a little off topic putting this on my gaming channel but id thought id do a quick video of a beater bike i just bought.. its a nice project and its in the restoration process and it wouldn't start..forums were a pan in the ass and always led me in the total opposite direction.. cheap assholes always say its the wrong part thats faulty just so you can buy the part and see if it fixed the problem ..saving THEM the trouble of buying and installing the part THEY thought was faulty.. so here is the checklist i did to figure out why my bike didn't start.. if you checked all this and your bike still doesn't start..you might have mechanical failures my friend..best of luck ! thanks for watching

I was swapping the fairings on my 600 did an oil change and an air filter then started it after the oil change and the bike wouldn't start. your video save me. my headlight was still hanging so the bike thought it was dumped over thanks man!

I changed JUST my front fairing and soon after my bike shut off while riding, now I’m almost certain this is the issue cus I noticed it was loose when I put it back on and didn’t pay attention to if it was upside down or not

Sounds like a short/disconnection in the starting button..
First thing you should always do is check if the engine kill switch is active or not
Have a cbr 125cc 2004 got a kill switch if so were is it please.

@@playboiiismoove8623 check your right handle bar. There should be a Red switch, this is the engine shut off switch. Try googling it you don't see it
@@tywilkinson469i stalled my bike , then randomly it wont turn over , the kill switch usually shows the f1 light but now thr kill switch shows nothing. Does nothing. So i might need a new one
good fuel pressure and volume,spark at the right time, use a timing light,if it flashes coils plug cap ,are all good,compression no restrictions [ air filter-muffler ] if you have a short it will blow a fuse,install a curcit braker that is less amps than the fuse ,then you can look for the problem while it clicks off and on,turn signal relay has worked in a jam,keep your tank full,if using a gas can must be air tight,be spotless clean w gas and oil

if the f1 light is on and stays on and doesnt blink check your engine oil level it has a sensor so the bike wont start

Mike Baldwin the sensor box that is on your front cover, I had the sensor box upside down ( like it was laid down and it won’t start due to safety reasons) I checked and noticed I had it upside down.its been a while but it’s attached to your front cover and I think it’s positioned in the middle where your headlights are

Mike Baldwin 02, you might have to look it up and see, but ya I had it put together and the bike wouldn’t start, like it sounded like the battery was dead or something. Chances are you did what I did lol. On the “box” it might or should say sensor with a arrow pointing upward. The arrow on mine was facing down, in which I couldn’t start it

helpful video bro! you hut the points right on the head. I just put on aftermarket fairings and lost the screw to the little black box. i didnt think it had much of a purpose. I spend all day tester regulators and stator... I;; be sure to try this is the morning...

I have a 02 cbr 600r f4i and won't start fuel pump primes I just replaced battery. Before I replaced battery f1 sensor flashed 11 times now that doesn't appear I NEED HELP
My Cbr f2 was running like a dream until it started to get power drained... charged new battery a few times was able to still ride for a bit.. then just got weak.. would run for 5 to 8 min then would fade out.. only giving it throttle would keep it going.. already bought new stator and I need to get new rectifier I believe... but there is some kind of short or something not feeding. Now it won’t start anymore but will turn on fine and crank...
If your stator was dead your battery will be have been killed. Get a new battery as well as your new stator and regulator/rectifier

I'ma check my 07 6rr . Took the face off to add something 😭. Bike was perfect start right up . Now after o moves the face bike spark and everything but no start 😪. Hopefully that's my prob.🔥 Spend into like 12am trying. Got home like 1.30 to go to work at 4🤦🏽♂️
awesome video. i have an 07 cbr600rr. i changed the fairings and the bike stopped turning over. fuel primes and console lights come on with key turned in ignition. checked the wires for the starter/killswitch and they look ok. jumping the terminals on the starter solenoid can get the bike started, it's just the starter button won't work. any thoughts? thanks!

got old 97 cbr f3, sometimes it does spark, sometimes not, can bad battery cause no spark, it cranks pretty good tho.
I have an 05 r6 that when I twist the key no light come on. Hester while riding it for less than 5 min y completely died. Now when I twist the key it make no noise nor starts. I took off the rectifier thinking that it was faulty since my battery drains every time I ride it. I have checked the battery but it shows 12.5 V. When I took out the r/r I did not remove any other wires. Do u have any suggestions?
+lopezl77 check your stator, rectifier,and regulator.. had the same problem once, changed the set and started instantly

Hey until you got your bike to start up did your fuel pump prime. The other day my bike turned on for three seconds and died immediately. I noticed afterwards when I tried to restart it the fuel pump did not prime.

i have a cbr 954rr. it starts normally when cold but lately it became so hard to start when hot, it dies randomly when i push the clutch while moving and it doesn't reach redline not eeven above 6000 rpm. i chainge plugs and cleaned injectors. do u have any hint?

Hey good video man. im new to bikes and just bought a 03 919'. it has a pre 1000rr fireblade engine. the bike used to start on its own but after a week it only starts.with a jump. you think it is just a.battery? battery tender lights turn flashing.green only after 10 min.charge but I know it is atleast a 2 year old.battery. the previous owner used a tender all the time. he had it for a year and never changed the battery during his ownership. any tips?

My issue rn is when I start my bike and let go of the engine start button it shuts right off. If I hold the engine start button it stays running. I have a 2001 cbr 600 btw what could that be?

i have a 2005 car 600rr, spark plugs were swapped, stator was swapped, has fresh oil and gas, none of the fuses are blown . its turned on a handful of times but it won't turn on every time, almost like theres not enough spark to get it going every time, can someone help please ? i really don't know what else it could be at this point

I NEED HELP WITH MY 2011 HONDA CBR600RR. I was driving my bike and I turned off, when I was gonna turn it on again the bike didn't turn on, it was making a weird sound under the seat, I opened and check the starter relay and the fuse and the starter relay were melted, I just bought a new starter relay and installed by myself and when I try to turn it on the new starter relay makes the same sound. Can somebody please help me? I'm from Dominican Republic, sorry about my English.

Hey man.. please help me lol. i have a 2014 Honda cbr 500r, I removed the front fairings and put in a new windscreen. I then took the back fender off (seats and rear fairings) to install my fender eliminator kit that ended up not fitting, (knock off ebay part). I put it back together, went to ride and now it won't start.. I can't figure out what it is. ):
My buddy has a cbr 1000 only 12k on it, sat for 2 years in a garage with bout half a tank of gas, tried to start and won’t start. I said bad gas. Siphoned out what I could get n filled it up with fresh gas bout a gallon. Now I know there’s still old gas in the lines cause I didn’t get it all, but is there anything else I should know or be aware of? I figured he’d just have to keep trying till the old gas gets pushed through the system. He takes good care of it but just hasn’t rode in forever. It turns over fine just doesn’t start.

When you say 87 fuel, And you use 91, Is that the RON of the petrol ( USA Gas ) ? Because if that is either then they are both low octane, I know lowering the octane can help vehicles run on low quality or degraded fuel, Is that why ?
+Dole Bandit yes us terms and sometimes sensitive vehicles lose a lot of performance from running the non recommended octane
+SUPERKITTY9000 Well, I am surprised at the low octane fuel in the USA, I have had a look at the basis of modern motorcycle fuel related electrics, ( Capacitor distribution ignition, Pulse transformers etc,, ) And it seems the manufacturers set them up based on fuel quality around the world, I think it`s to do with advancing or retarding the ignition of the CDI, In the UK, With a UK model HONDA FireBlade, If you put that USA low octane petrol in the tank you would not pull out of the gas station, ( Minimum 97 RON ) Repeated exposure to low octane mixed fuel would apparently harm the valves eventually, I know gas is relatively cheaper in America, But I did not realise it was equal in production quality with that of the third world !

awesome video. greatly appreciate it.. I have an 04 cbr 1000rr and everything is fine with it til it gets hot.. you know get caught at a couple lights now it's over 200 degrees.. I stop get gas and try to turn it back on and it just cranks unless I twist the throttle a little. other then that I'd have to wait like 15 to 20 minutes before I get a decent start.. I changed battery (new gel), changed the stator (oem) 1000 miles ago, changed rectifier last week, changed spark plugs 200 miles ago, took out h.i.d's (Google said that could affect it), threw gas cleaner in it thought maybe I caught bad gas but still the same thing any help?

I have the same problem with my bike not wanting to start after I have been running it and then turn it off temporarily. It just cranks. This almost never happens when the bike is cold.

DUde how do you disconnect the yellow groundd box, my headlights wont turn on and fuel pump wont prime but when i wiggle the yellow box it works but then shuts off randomly at red light or when riding

Awesome video. Help me solve my issue with mine however the last part about shaking your gas tank well I did that which was the last thing I did and my bike finally turned over however after cleaning it and blah blah blah I didn’t want to turn over anymore. Come to find out it was my feel pump even though you can hear it Prime if you wouldn’t go to the fuel injectors. Swap my fuel pump out yesterday now works like a charm. Thanks!!

I had the same problem watched this video 10 times ended up being a bad ignition switch it turned on everything except fuel prime
I had a similar problem it wasn't a bad ignition switch it was a bad transponder in the key.
The bike would start in the morning but if I left it in the sun the fuel pump wouldn't prime.
New key did the trick.

My CBR will fire over and it sounds like the fuel pump is priming. Of course it has fuel and has power. It just won't start.

Hello guys, I'm having problems with my CBR 929. Somebody drove into it and fell and the stator cover broke and it lost all the oil. I fit in a new stator cover and filled up the oil but everytime I turn the ignition key on the fuel pump doesn't prime. I tried to start it but the engine won't turn. Please help me. its the sensor in te front of the bike, it still thinks your bike is tipped over...
just pop a wheelee there its fixed.... $0 all tuned ready for that long ride.lol
Pop a few small fueses letting front down to hard had dash go out but will run without Speedo just have to change small left side box
