Sebastian´s MA breakdown: "Tanimura's fighting style is based around Taiho-Jutsu (逮捕術, lit. arresting art), the standard martial art of the Japanese police, with influences from aikido and jiu-jitsu.
He has a high guard and a great balanced wide stance. His strikes are mostly hand combinations with a few wild kicks and tons of grappling.
I had a hard time making the dummy roll as if it were a real person... But besides that, I had lots of fun."

police brutality, I like that it focuses on dominating the enemy with combos of few blows and grabs, something like saejima but that anyone could practice without having to be a monster, and a great job as always

The first time I played Yakuza 4, Tanimura fighting style is quite interesting because it has influence from Yoshinkan Aikido which is a style developed by Gozo Shioda and it has been used by the Tokyo Riot police unit in Tokyo, Japan.
And its the only style that mainly focuses on judo and grabs

I like how most of his moveset is just him doing some light punches to confuse them, doesn't seem to really be as brutal as the Dragon Style and the grabs are really elaborated too thanks to set style.
That's just me, dunno if confusing or something alike was the real purpose of this style.
I feel like he's the well rounded of the group, the mma guy, he has a lil bit of everything, but everything has a purpose

What is this style of fighting called? I recognize a lot of the Jiu Jitsu in there, but the strikes seem very loose and simple.
