SIEMENS EuroSprinter "Taurus" action (August 2017)

Taurus has been one of the trend setters for today and recent past in the modern electric traction category. Powerful state of the art locomotives with an exterior design of almost a modern sportscar can be attractive to any customer! The numbers of this true multipurpose electric locomotive are so large, that you can today see these in various jobs from high speed train running to local services, long freights to overnight express trains.
In the beginning of the 21st century demand for the new passenger and cargo locomotives was quickly rising. One of the most successful new locomotive families was - and still is - the Eurosprinter family, initially developed by Siemens and ADtranz (later acquired by Bombardier) together. The first really widespread cargo locomotive of this family was the German class 152. Based on the success of the Br 152 Siemens started developing a new multi purpose fast locomotive together with the Austrian state railways ÖBB. The design was modular and the dynamic new looks were designed by Porsche. The Taurus was born!

Πάρα πολύ ωραία συλλογή Βασίλη! Οι λήψεις ειδικά στο Semmering με τον κατάλληλο καιρό και στο Βερολίνο η τελευταία που τα Doppelstock κινούνται "μαζί" με την 481, εκπληκτικές! Πολύ ευχάριστο και ομαλό βίντεο, μπράβο! :D

What will be the successor of the "Taurus"? I'm thinking of the Vectron, but that one operates at max 200km/h, compared to 230km/h with Taurus.
