First of all Piccolo is a both a good assist and point character. He has great mix up and all of his assist are useful for both defensive and offense. So his not just a point character. His a mid character.
I like Broly DBS on Anchor because of the damage also but I do like running him point because he can dominate and set the pressure against the enemy early on

Have you ever tried starting with Tien as point? In one of my previous comments I mentioned i use him to start with. If my opponent is "assist happy" at the beggining (and a lot of them are) and rush me with his assist- I'm using point guard volleyball fist (M), and when i catch my opponent with his assist (sometimes I manage to catch the entire team if my opponent is stupid), then i spark, combo, assist, combo, lvl 1 and follow up with the rest of the crew with lvl 1. I Managed to destroy many teams like that with Tien as point. If i don't catch anyone at the beginning of the fight- then i I just swap Tien and keep him as an anchor. If you main Tien, then you should try this tactic. I've got a video on my channel titled "Tien as point" when I managed to destroy dude in 18 seconds using Tien.
I picked up the game very recently and have been muddling through. My team was Frieza, A21, and Blue Vegito. This was a really interesting vid and I'm definitely going to shuffle my order. I was playing who I was best solo with and in that order and just threw out assists when pressured or when applying pressure. Tldr; I'm a scrub and this was good study

NixUniverse yeah but the problem with this is his combo extensions without assists are not as good as other characters. Also some of his corner combos don’t even work without assists , that’s why he’s a mid character
Sure, but what character doesn't perform better with their shirt off, level 3 sparking, limit break and command grabs? Don't answer that. DBS Broly is an interesting case though. He works great with the meter for obvious reasons, has VERY high damage, and does have some pretty decent assists for controlling neutral. The problem though comes in that his normals are on the slower side (5L is 10 frames lets go), and ALL of them are unsafe on block. Without assists to cover your blockstrings, you're playing a very risky game in which you either have to bet on the command grab hitting, or end your strings with specials that can be reflected easily so you're opened up. He doesn't have much ways to get a sliding knockdown without assists either, so it's harder to maintain pressure. As a result his solo game can be somewhat unreliable compared to other Anchor options. I feel much better about him when I've got assists backing him up. I prefer using him as a point, but mid is probably better for him as the video recommends.
The 17th Hokage Level 1 Sparking is when all of your team members are still alive. It gives the least amount of damage boost and it ends the quickest. Level 2 sparking is when one of your teammate. It gives a decent power boost and lasts a decent amount of time. Level 3 sparking is when both your teammates are dead. It gives the largest increase in damage and it lasts the longest.
I personally love playing Vegito, Kefla, and Gogeta. Team fusion is so much fun. Though I'll probably swap Vegito off for Ultra Instinct when he finally drops.

I have been running, Janemba - C assist DBS Broly - B assist Base Goku - A assist After seeing this vid i'm glad I have the right idea about point, mid and anchor and I know that Broly can set up the spirit bomb, i'm just wondering if there's any improvements I could make to help synergise the team a bit more or if there's any little hidden tricks these characters have with each other cause I feel like i'm missing something.
For right now I was thinking of using: Kefla (probably will be swapped out for future characters) Gt Goku (my little carry with the one good combo I know) Yamcha(the character I just press buttons with and win, with a saucy assist)
It's nice to know that the team I used to run is by the book and I didn't even researched it. It was Blue Vegeta, gogeta and Goku black I'm now experimenting with 21 (again), black and trunks (because trunks is top tier and basically the only character in that tier I think I can properly play). His biggest problem throughout season 1 was his assist - now he has a beam assist, so yeah, it totally makes sense to me. I'd actually be excited to hop back into DBFZ now to play him if it weren't for me missing out on season 2 and 3 and lacking the money to get them.

He has a low-hitting light attack that he can easily combo off of, he's got some easy high damage combos, rock can keep people blocking after knockdown without assist, his after image attack allows you to do high-low mix ups even without an assist (and now EX costs half which should make it even better unless they nerfed it) Of all the characters I ran he was the one I was most comfortable with, but like I said, I stopped playing just before season two came out. But just based off of memory, the ONLY reason I didn't run him as an anchor back then was because his assist was so bad. Now that he has a good assist, I'm struggling to think of weaknesses.
New to online play. Used your list to build my 21, Bardock, Ss1 Vegeta team and I'm loving it. I wanted to play base Vegeta but I just made him point in another team ^^
I’ve played 10 games so far. And not a single person has been able to hit me while I’m using goku mui. The try and ki blast me and I just walk towards them. They rush I dodge like a boss.
I’m honestly kinda struggling what my “main team(s)” is. I’m going back and forth between Ssgss vegeta (A) Bardock (B) Trunks (A or B) And Ssgss vegeta (A) Trunks (A) 16 (C) But I need to work on neutral and confirms before I worry about that I guess
In season 3 I've been running Vegito Point with B assist, Gogeta Mid with A assist and Baseku Anchor with B assist. Vegito's tick throw makes me much better at opening up opponents and even if I don't use it, 6M into Gogeta assist is a fairly reliable combo with good corner carry. Gogeta is my one true main and by far my strongest solo character, so I run him after Vegito dies while continuing to use Baseku's meter charge to fuel supers (plus Gogeta can combo into super spirit bomb which is one of my favourite big damage plays) and finally Baseku is a fantastic meter battery and a strong anchor because Kaioken gets strong, plus some opponents don't expect the spirit bomb charged via assist and give me a huge damage opportunity. I've been having good success with this team so far.
FusionZ vegito is a bad anchor and you don’t have any dhc into spirt bomb with that team, luckily this season that doesn’t matter as much with gokus b assist and the c assist type letting him get mono spirt bombs off
I comeback to this video over and over again mainly to try and build a team. Not that I'm new I've fairly average in the game playing for a good while with my friends. I love some characters more than others in more ways than just there fighting style like their character which is why I pick 21 as my main/point. My "struggle" if you call it is picking the other two mainly in regard to your idea of "If you have fun with your team then its a good team" and reason is I put 16 on my team as a mid with 21. Mainly as I see your list recommends him as a point but I want to but them together because of their lore and character. I'm not anytime soon playing for money or tournaments but I want to have fun with the characters I play that I like in terms of their actual character design like from the show/or this game in regards to 21 and be somewhat decent and that might contradict to what I want to get out of this game as I do enjoy it but I really like playing the characters together as I feel I can try my best to make them work together what I know and learn.
In my opinion Goku blue is one of the best anchors in the game because his sparking mixups are absolutely crazy. He has a level 5, which is really good to dump meter at the end of a combo, he has really safe and really strong pressure if you take advantage of his 4.M and he has a command grab which, since he is gonna be the last character he is gonna have a lot of meter, so he can use the ex version every time. It’s really easy to open people up with him.
I would preffer switching teen gohan to point... Teen gohan does so much damage and meter gain it would benefit A.Gohan to have that meter for his shenanigans
I think I might be doing something wrong since, according to this diagram, my team has three mids. My team is: Vegito(B), Bardock(A) and Kefla(B). And I think kefla is actually a really good anchor because she is really good at spending meter. She has some really good ex moves that you can use to control neutral or use in combos and she has that hellzone style super that can give her solo mixups and she can also dump meter at the end of a combo with it.
The diagram is not the end all be all, bardock Is a character that works as point or mid so he’s fine, vegito works perfectly as a point character due to his legs and Kefla has some really good neutral and she can get in easily but she does have issues a lot of times with landing a hit or opening up opponents in block strings as her block string pressure is very clear cut but if she does land a hit she’s able to keep that pressure so your team does look good
I'm planning on playing Kefla, Gogeta and UIGoku, I think that's a good team, and those characters are badass on their own :) I was usually running Adult Gohan, Bardock and Vegito.
I like to make teams that are fun and have a common theme with each other Ex: vegito, rose, and zamasu all have potara So my team is future Trunks being point Cell being mid And rose being anchor
Point: Teen Gohan - A type Mid: Z Broly - A or B type BUT his C-type is also armored so you could do that as well. Anchor: Baseku - B type. No seriously, that B type was a KILLER for this team.
@@denisn8336 Oh yes, by the time you got to Baseku as the last character, he could TOD you in 3 hit with sparking. Edit: Also, what's so nice about this was the fact that at least 2 of them could function alone (T.Gohan needed assist for his shenanigan.)
I’d say that Goku Black is a great point character, and Gogeta could be switched to an Anchor. He does really well with the speak buff and limit break, and can be used as a great bar sponge for amazing damage. Goku black can easily TOD almost any character with the right amount of assists. He can still be abused to get great damage, but his assists are pretty lackluster besides the kamehameha. But then again, this video was made before all of the recent changes. Still a great video!
Super late commenting here but this was incredibly helpful. Initially my main team was Hit, Yamcha and Goku Blue. I had a lot of fun and intense matches with that crew even with my tendencies to spam specials when I'm panicking. But lately I've taken to using Goku Black, Hit and Kefla and I'm having an absurd amount of fun with them.
Okay so I run 21/Gohan (C assist)/Vegito(A asssist). 21 is my main so I’m trying to have the team revolve around her but be good on their own. My Vegito is my anchor because I’m super good with him. Any advice?
c assist gohan is good for easy damaging confirms but the cooldown and block stun does not make it worth it. the gameplan if you use his assist is to DHC into gohan immediately to negate c assist cooldown. You can also level up gohan safely for 1 bar with side switching off gohans c assist Tbh I think having 2 c assists is not good. You might be a lot stronger using gohans b assist- since it has 40 frames of block stun, and vegitos a or b assist for neutral. 21 has a strong c assist if you want to keep it as the block stun is also very long but I like a assist because it is fast, controls neutral and has nice hit stun. hope that helps. I been running 21- a, bardock b, growhan- b myself
This video is pretty good but i have some problems with it. 1st Krillin isn't a good anchor, just because he has a beam assist doesn't mean hes good at anchor. 2nd is Zamasu, Gogeta, and Cell are all point characters. For Gogeta hes frame data is so bad that if you try stagger without assist they can just mash out. For Zamasu he has weaknesses that are covered up by his assists. And Cell if you want to win and use all of his stregeths you should run him on point. Also Tien is anchor only idk how AkaOni and PTFighters thought he wasn't. And Kefla you should run in point if you won't to use her stregthens kinda like cell. Those are the things i think you got wrong. Edit: I just saw you put Bluku in mid, you want to have good pressure you should run Bluku in Point for assists.
I've never been a fan of team games like DragonBall FighterZ or Marvel vs Capcom. However, after your material and the fact that DBFZ was on the promotion quite recently, I stated that I would put Street Fighter V for a while and see if I could master team games. Or at least be good enough in them to pose any challenge to all network sweepers. I even managed to go through the story mode, so if the opponent doesn't move a bit, I should somehow win with him :D. Since I only have the basic version of the game, I have decided that my team will be Android 21, Goku SSGSS and Yamcha.
Picked this game up with Vegito, SSJ Goku and Black. And I was like "I like having 2 anchors", then Kefla came out and SSJ Goku broke his legs....so now I run Kefla as mid on my team because I wanted her bad. I always assumed Kefla was better at point but Im a Vegito fanboy and he goes first!. Glad to see watching DBFZ for 2 years and then finally picking up the game, I had a descent idea for my team order.
After watching this I think my team (kefla, base goku, ssj goku) is really good. Kefla B assist and beam assists give time to hit a hand spirit bomb and both have lvl1s that set up for spirit bomb. Also with kefla and base goku's a assist you can combo into her lvl1 that usually is used to maintain pressure. So I recommend this team to whoever is still struggling to pick one
My team recently seems to fit into this. I'm using Adult Gohan on point, Trunks in mid and SS Goku as an anchor. It's been great with the half off EX moves, but I'm still experimenting on which assists to go with on Trunks and Gohan
My team: Krillin- B assist (point, he's on the front line to get some characters down enough for Yamcha to come in and finish them off. Kamehameha and the Senzu Bean are great, and Scatter Beam is my favorite move in the game.) Yamcha- A assist (mid, Wolf Fang Fist surprisingly works well with Scatter Beam and Dodon Ray. He's my best character on the team, but I prefer putting him on the side because Wolf Fang Fist is good to combo with, which helps my Krillin A LOT.) Tien- A assist (anchor, I use him dead last because he's essentially a supervillain once you beat down the mech, he's the last stand. Also, dodon ray is very good.) I'm unsure if that's a good team. So if you guys don't like it I really want some tips.
U don't need to have attack type assist all the time. Base Goku B assist is awesome. More EX moves can mix oppenent upp and haveing that lvl 3 spirit bomb combo at the end by himself is OP. I use Lord Beerus now back it up with some Gohan DP and Base Goku land me your energy. They can combo into spirit bomb with lvl 1 too. Beerus auto combo work well with Gohan DP assist as well.
my team is gotenks point dbs broly mid nappa anchor. MY nappa isn't as much as an issue cause I use the character not to plant saibamen but for raw power and a way to push the dynamic and easy overheads but I also use nappa's saibamen more so in the corner because I feel like I shouldn't use saibamen outside of the area that applies pressure with solo pressure like nappa and if I get a lucky hit in I can do a 8- percent combo solo and if I have three bars I can do a tod so all I need is a good opening some pressure and saibamen to fill in the gaps with no need for assists and easy damage if the saibamen opens them for me. (Also I use A assist) My reasoning for gotenks point: I use gotenks point to hammer as much damage in as possible and ghost oki works like a charm on point if you meter build during the combo. The easy damage really works for wearing them down and last match I got almost every character to id health with 90 percent gotenks. (I run gotenks a assist) And broly...... Well it's broly a thousand damage easy
My team is Gogeta at Point, Gohan at Mid and base Goku at anchor. Gohan B assist is good at blockstrings and combo extensions sometimes. Goku B assist gives Gogeta meter to pull off combos and it charges spirit bomb too. Gogeta is just there cuz I like him.
My casual team is Broly DBS Rosè and Baseku but I recently switched Broly for Bluegeta for ranked because the team needed point synergy. Broly is strong on point but when your mains are Rosè and Baseku it's hard to transition properly. Bluegeta I feel like has more power on point with the rest of the team and his C assist is great for pressure when I need it. The man became probably as good as SSJ Vegeta on point, and even if he dies I know that he isn't my absolute best.
Vegeta Blue - C Jiren - A Ginyu Force - B Vegeta Blue with each Ginyu force cycle just works. He needs burter and jeice to extend combos and double niagra pummel punishes in the air. guldo and recoome help set s up his reflectable 50/50 blockstrings. jiren assist also works like gogeta A assist, also helpful for combos and 50/50 set ups. Jiren can do better meterless mid screen combos with burter, guldo and jeice. recoome has a nice blockstun to do grab right after it in a blockstring which is like a grab trap so you have to jump out. Ginyu is ginyu, he can take an assist or not. Hes ok with neutral and good with careful blockstrings solo and with assists
So kefla is a fun character for set ups. I use Kefla(B) /B. Goku(B)/ Gohan (C). I can use kefla to set up Goku's spirit bomb and gohans C assist helps a lot to extend kefla's and goku's lv3 supers. What I usually do is finish a combo with a hard knockdown, call gokan Lv1 on t e ground and then lv3. Is so much fun. And kefla can put the enemy high enough in the air to set up spirit bomb. So yeah. I love Kefla
Broly is a vert good point, you need assists to connect en make damages without spending too much ki... And Janemba is very good solo and has realy good assists, I don't think point is the best place for him !
If we go by MVC formula, the point character is also called the battery. Which means it can build a good amount of meter which the latter characters can effectively use. Also the point/battery character's effectiveness is heavily boosted by the assists provided by the mid and anchor.
Your video is really good its clear and ordered . i found my team as basegeta hit and bardock who don’t really respect the rules but i found how to manage that team in match , even for a top player this video is usefull i’ll recommend lot 🤝

rocking 21 - a assist, bardock - b assist, adult gohan - b assist basically they all function great on point and as assists. They also have great solo neutral and solo damage. Can also change my gameplan easily on the fly Been playing since season 1 but thanks for the video

Broly should be an anchor as he has good mix thanks to his command grab and quad 2ms and good solo neutral like his 236S allowing him to dominate neutral and does good with no assists

I think the way to use Android 21 is when you do level 1 switch to trunks and majin buu to do a good amount of level 3 damage or replace majin buu with vegtio blue

Personally i play an all vegeta team, and i'm fine with it. I'm swapping bluegeta for evogeta if evogeta comes out, Bluegeta is kinda bad.

After seeing this vid i'm glad I have the right idea about point, mid and anchor and I know that Broly can set up the spirit bomb, i'm just wondering if there's any improvements I could make to help synergise the team a bit more or if there's any little hidden tricks these characters have with each other cause I feel like i'm missing something.

Never would have thought I'd see Krillin as an anchor
His biggest problem throughout season 1 was his assist - now he has a beam assist, so yeah, it totally makes sense to me.
I'd actually be excited to hop back into DBFZ now to play him if it weren't for me missing out on season 2 and 3 and lacking the money to get them.

He has a low-hitting light attack that he can easily combo off of, he's got some easy high damage combos, rock can keep people blocking after knockdown without assist, his after image attack allows you to do high-low mix ups even without an assist (and now EX costs half which should make it even better unless they nerfed it)
Of all the characters I ran he was the one I was most comfortable with, but like I said, I stopped playing just before season two came out. But just based off of memory, the ONLY reason I didn't run him as an anchor back then was because his assist was so bad. Now that he has a good assist, I'm struggling to think of weaknesses.

I’ve played 10 games so far. And not a single person has been able to hit me while I’m using goku mui. The try and ki blast me and I just walk towards them. They rush I dodge like a boss.

In season 3 I've been running Vegito Point with B assist, Gogeta Mid with A assist and Baseku Anchor with B assist. Vegito's tick throw makes me much better at opening up opponents and even if I don't use it, 6M into Gogeta assist is a fairly reliable combo with good corner carry. Gogeta is my one true main and by far my strongest solo character, so I run him after Vegito dies while continuing to use Baseku's meter charge to fuel supers (plus Gogeta can combo into super spirit bomb which is one of my favourite big damage plays) and finally Baseku is a fantastic meter battery and a strong anchor because Kaioken gets strong, plus some opponents don't expect the spirit bomb charged via assist and give me a huge damage opportunity. I've been having good success with this team so far.

if you put kefla in front and use bardock b assist you can win neutral in like 1 second
FusionZ vegito is a bad anchor and you don’t have any dhc into spirt bomb with that team, luckily this season that doesn’t matter as much with gokus b assist and the c assist type letting him get mono spirt bombs off

I comeback to this video over and over again mainly to try and build a team. Not that I'm new I've fairly average in the game playing for a good while with my friends. I love some characters more than others in more ways than just there fighting style like their character which is why I pick 21 as my main/point. My "struggle" if you call it is picking the other two mainly in regard to your idea of "If you have fun with your team then its a good team" and reason is I put 16 on my team as a mid with 21. Mainly as I see your list recommends him as a point but I want to but them together because of their lore and character. I'm not anytime soon playing for money or tournaments but I want to have fun with the characters I play that I like in terms of their actual character design like from the show/or this game in regards to 21 and be somewhat decent and that might contradict to what I want to get out of this game as I do enjoy it but I really like playing the characters together as I feel I can try my best to make them work together what I know and learn.

In my opinion Goku blue is one of the best anchors in the game because his sparking mixups are absolutely crazy. He has a level 5, which is really good to dump meter at the end of a combo, he has really safe and really strong pressure if you take advantage of his 4.M and he has a command grab which, since he is gonna be the last character he is gonna have a lot of meter, so he can use the ex version every time. It’s really easy to open people up with him.

Teen gohan does so much damage and meter gain it would benefit A.Gohan to have that meter for his shenanigans
I think I might be doing something wrong since, according to this diagram, my team has three mids. My team is: Vegito(B), Bardock(A) and Kefla(B). And I think kefla is actually a really good anchor because she is really good at spending meter. She has some really good ex moves that you can use to control neutral or use in combos and she has that hellzone style super that can give her solo mixups and she can also dump meter at the end of a combo with it.
The diagram is not the end all be all, bardock Is a character that works as point or mid so he’s fine, vegito works perfectly as a point character due to his legs and Kefla has some really good neutral and she can get in easily but she does have issues a lot of times with landing a hit or opening up opponents in block strings as her block string pressure is very clear cut but if she does land a hit she’s able to keep that pressure so your team does look good
I think she works as an anchor, but there are some other characters which simply do more damage and dont have to win neutral as often.

Edit: Also, what's so nice about this was the fact that at least 2 of them could function alone (T.Gohan needed assist for his shenanigan.)

I’d say that Goku Black is a great point character, and Gogeta could be switched to an Anchor. He does really well with the speak buff and limit break, and can be used as a great bar sponge for amazing damage. Goku black can easily TOD almost any character with the right amount of assists. He can still be abused to get great damage, but his assists are pretty lackluster besides the kamehameha.
But then again, this video was made before all of the recent changes.

Super late commenting here but this was incredibly helpful. Initially my main team was Hit, Yamcha and Goku Blue. I had a lot of fun and intense matches with that crew even with my tendencies to spam specials when I'm panicking.
But lately I've taken to using Goku Black, Hit and Kefla and I'm having an absurd amount of fun with them.
Okay so I run 21/Gohan (C assist)/Vegito(A asssist). 21 is my main so I’m trying to have the team revolve around her but be good on their own. My Vegito is my anchor because I’m super good with him. Any advice?
c assist gohan is good for easy damaging confirms but the cooldown and block stun does not make it worth it.
the gameplan if you use his assist is to DHC into gohan immediately to negate c assist cooldown. You can also level up gohan safely for 1 bar with side switching off gohans c assist
Tbh I think having 2 c assists is not good. You might be a lot stronger using gohans b assist- since it has 40 frames of block stun, and vegitos a or b assist for neutral. 21 has a strong c assist if you want to keep it as the block stun is also very long but I like a assist because it is fast, controls neutral and has nice hit stun.

This video is pretty good but i have some problems with it. 1st Krillin isn't a good anchor, just because he has a beam assist doesn't mean hes good at anchor. 2nd is Zamasu, Gogeta, and Cell are all point characters. For Gogeta hes frame data is so bad that if you try stagger without assist they can just mash out. For Zamasu he has weaknesses that are covered up by his assists. And Cell if you want to win and use all of his stregeths you should run him on point. Also Tien is anchor only idk how AkaOni and PTFighters thought he wasn't. And Kefla you should run in point if you won't to use her stregthens kinda like cell. Those are the things i think you got wrong. Edit: I just saw you put Bluku in mid, you want to have good pressure you should run Bluku in Point for assists.

I've never been a fan of team games like DragonBall FighterZ or Marvel vs Capcom. However, after your material and the fact that DBFZ was on the promotion quite recently, I stated that I would put Street Fighter V for a while and see if I could master team games.
Or at least be good enough in them to pose any challenge to all network sweepers.
I even managed to go through the story mode, so if the opponent doesn't move a bit, I should somehow win with him :D.
Since I only have the basic version of the game, I have decided that my team will be Android 21, Goku SSGSS and Yamcha.
Honestly just play the characters you enjoy and or feel comfortable with.

Picked this game up with Vegito, SSJ Goku and Black. And I was like "I like having 2 anchors", then Kefla came out and SSJ Goku broke his legs....so now I run Kefla as mid on my team because I wanted her bad. I always assumed Kefla was better at point but Im a Vegito fanboy and he goes first!. Glad to see watching DBFZ for 2 years and then finally picking up the game, I had a descent idea for my team order.

After watching this I think my team (kefla, base goku, ssj goku) is really good. Kefla B assist and beam assists give time to hit a hand spirit bomb and both have lvl1s that set up for spirit bomb. Also with kefla and base goku's a assist you can combo into her lvl1 that usually is used to maintain pressure. So I recommend this team to whoever is still struggling to pick one

My team recently seems to fit into this. I'm using Adult Gohan on point, Trunks in mid and SS Goku as an anchor. It's been great with the half off EX moves, but I'm still experimenting on which assists to go with on Trunks and Gohan
My team:
Krillin- B assist (point, he's on the front line to get some characters down enough for Yamcha to come in and finish them off. Kamehameha and the Senzu Bean are great, and Scatter Beam is my favorite move in the game.)
Yamcha- A assist (mid, Wolf Fang Fist surprisingly works well with Scatter Beam and Dodon Ray. He's my best character on the team, but I prefer putting him on the side because Wolf Fang Fist is good to combo with, which helps my Krillin A LOT.)
Tien- A assist (anchor, I use him dead last because he's essentially a supervillain once you beat down the mech, he's the last stand. Also, dodon ray is very good.)
I'm unsure if that's a good team. So if you guys don't like it I really want some tips.
U don't need to have attack type assist all the time. Base Goku B assist is awesome. More EX moves can mix oppenent upp and haveing that lvl 3 spirit bomb combo at the end by himself is OP. I use Lord Beerus now back it up with some Gohan DP and Base Goku land me your energy. They can combo into spirit bomb with lvl 1 too. Beerus auto combo work well with Gohan DP assist as well.
Thumbnail is pretty accurate. Base Vegeta on point, Base Goku on anchor, whoever you want as mid.

my team is gotenks point dbs broly mid nappa anchor. MY nappa isn't as much as an issue cause I use the character not to plant saibamen but for raw power and a way to push the dynamic and easy overheads but I also use nappa's saibamen more so in the corner because I feel like I shouldn't use saibamen outside of the area that applies pressure with solo pressure like nappa and if I get a lucky hit in I can do a 8- percent combo solo and if I have three bars I can do a tod so all I need is a good opening some pressure and saibamen to fill in the gaps with no need for assists and easy damage if the saibamen opens them for me. (Also I use A assist)
My reasoning for gotenks point:
I use gotenks point to hammer as much damage in as possible and ghost oki works like a charm on point if you meter build during the combo. The easy damage really works for wearing them down and last match I got almost every character to id health with 90 percent gotenks. (I run gotenks a assist)
And broly...... Well it's broly a thousand damage easy
My team is Gogeta at Point, Gohan at Mid and base Goku at anchor. Gohan B assist is good at blockstrings and combo extensions sometimes. Goku B assist gives Gogeta meter to pull off combos and it charges spirit bomb too. Gogeta is just there cuz I like him.
My casual team is Broly DBS Rosè and Baseku but I recently switched Broly for Bluegeta for ranked because the team needed point synergy. Broly is strong on point but when your mains are Rosè and Baseku it's hard to transition properly. Bluegeta I feel like has more power on point with the rest of the team and his C assist is great for pressure when I need it. The man became probably as good as SSJ Vegeta on point, and even if he dies I know that he isn't my absolute best.
I have 2 teams I use a lot:
Point: Videl C
Mid: Yamcha B
Anchor: Vegeta A
Point: Yamcha B
Mid: Zamasu A
Anchor: Vegeta A
Vegeta Blue - C
Jiren - A
Ginyu Force - B
Vegeta Blue with each Ginyu force cycle just works. He needs burter and jeice to extend combos and double niagra pummel punishes in the air. guldo and recoome help set s up his reflectable 50/50 blockstrings. jiren assist also works like gogeta A assist, also helpful for combos and 50/50 set ups.
Jiren can do better meterless mid screen combos with burter, guldo and jeice. recoome has a nice blockstun to do grab right after it in a blockstring which is like a grab trap so you have to jump out.
Ginyu is ginyu, he can take an assist or not. Hes ok with neutral and good with careful blockstrings solo and with assists
So kefla is a fun character for set ups. I use Kefla(B) /B. Goku(B)/ Gohan (C).
I can use kefla to set up Goku's spirit bomb and gohans C assist helps a lot to extend kefla's and goku's lv3 supers. What I usually do is finish a combo with a hard knockdown, call gokan Lv1 on t e ground and then lv3. Is so much fun. And kefla can put the enemy high enough in the air to set up spirit bomb.
So yeah. I love Kefla
Broly is a vert good point, you need assists to connect en make damages without spending too much ki...
And Janemba is very good solo and has realy good assists, I don't think point is the best place for him !

If we go by MVC formula, the point character is also called the battery. Which means it can build a good amount of meter which the latter characters can effectively use. Also the point/battery character's effectiveness is heavily boosted by the assists provided by the mid and anchor.
Your video is really good its clear and ordered . i found my team as basegeta hit and bardock who don’t really respect the rules but i found how to manage that team in match , even for a top player this video is usefull i’ll recommend lot 🤝

Vegeta SSGSS (- Assist C -) Point
Trunks (- Assist B -) Anchor
Broly DBS (- Assist -) Mid

basically they all function great on point and as assists. They also have great solo neutral and solo damage.

I usually play with a Goku Black, Android 18, Trunks mix. Don't know the game well and I don't know why but it works. Except with UI Goku appears.

Broly should be an anchor as he has good mix thanks to his command grab and quad 2ms and good solo neutral like his 236S allowing him to dominate neutral and does good with no assists
