    I just add 8112s w/SPC UCAs, couldn't find 8100s in stock anywhere for the rears so I went with 5160s as a place holder! Fuel Rebel 20x9x1 +1 w/General Grabber ATX 285/60/20. Your vids helped me make my decision. Your content is the only available, along with 2 (now 3 w/mine) threads in the forums, for the 8112s for the F150. Felt like I was taking a little bit of a leap over something like an ICON/King/Fox where there's tons of content/reviews available. I am so glad I did! I had kings on my tacoma in the past, and while I know that platform is totally different, these 8112s are IMO even more balanced w/better on road feel, and even the 5160s in the rear until I can get ahold of 8112s, have made my ride so stable, very low body roll, no more nose dive, and the combination these first few days over these rough ice and snow laden NE roads, has blown me away. Any one seeing these and wondering if you should make the jump instead of one of the other higher end 2.5 brands, don't even sweat it, you will thank y our self for trying something different! And for the age old question, with them adjusted to 2.5 and 1.5in block in the rear, I have no rub at full lock in either direction. Didn't touch front crash bar and I am sitting with .75" rake. SPCs made alignment a breeze.

    The 17's are just the right size for any tire smaller than 35'' imo.

    • @Bmxr1991
      @Bmxr1991 Před rokem +2

      You use a 16 for anything under 35. 35s and beyond should always be on 17s unless it’s one of the trucks that has larger rotors and calipers like the newest gen ram 1500s then you can’t run 17s, 18s fit. That is the only scenario that a intelligent person would go above 17.

      @fj400007 Před rokem +2

      @Bmxr-tt5pc I've got both setups for my truck and, 17's are the smallest rims that will clear the calipers in my case. The 20's are collecting dust.

      So good to meet a kindred spirit : for me : it has been money well spent . I ment to ask you how is the finish holding up ? Time and Anchorage roads / weather have throughly trashed mine . If I were to do over I would of added some sort of clear spray to add a protective barrier. I’m glad it’s what inside that matters

  • @yakbiker75
    @yakbiker75 Před 3 lety +1

    Rough country needs to take notes! I did the vertex coilovers and matching rears, the instructions were pretty bad. I also had to wind off all the preload to get 2.5inch lift, was the 3inch lift kit. When installing it was near sitting at 4inches.
    I did a add a leaf too in the rear, all said and done in happy with the product.
