    Marta, you have inspired me - not to paint but to embroider dandelion "clocks" as I grew up in England knowing them. Not as quick as painting, but it feeds the soul, too. Painting comes later this month, then I'll try this. Thank you!

    I love this. I have been throwing tons of those away, and always thought I could do something artistic with them. I am one to not invest in expensive art tools, and instead have used tooth picks, cotton swabs, cotton balls, forks, pencil erasers, etc. Now I have a new art tool! Thank you. It is just the look I needed for an art piece for my living room.

    Hi Marta, beyond the beautiful creative work, what makes your work unique is the fact that the video is broadcast in real time and not at high speed and you can really learn, relate, internalize and create. I found you recently and then you got 'lost' on the net and luckily I found you again. Thank you for clear explanations at a normal pace, for a full demonstration in real time, without annoying and confusing fast forward... I will continue to follow and use the excellent explanations and demonstrations of your work. Thanks. Hila

    What a fun technique! My budget is almost nonexistent, so this is definitely something I can afford to do! Also, I have never heard the word dandelion pronounced so beautifully. In the US we say, DAN-dee-li (long i sound like sky)-on, but I'm going to start saying it your way!!! Seriously! I LOVE your accent and the way you pronounce words. I do hope you aren't offended by my comment. I truly do enjoy the way you say dandelion very much!! Thanks for sharing a great technique and for being a beautiful person inside and out!!

    Marta, this is a fabulous technique, and like so many other commenters here, I love listening to you as well. You have a gift, not only for bringing art to others, but a spirit of joy, as well. Thank you for what you do. May I also mention how puzzled I am by the people who put a thumbs down on this video (and others)? I mean, what's not to love? Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I just can't understand why they bother. What are they trying to say? I think, save it for videos that are offensive or controversial. I guess I have too much need for the world to make sense. Now, going to go paint me some toilet paper roll dendelions - that makes sense! Bye...

    It’s amazing how you show people how to create art with virtually anything. These videos should be in K-5 classrooms...to spark the creativity in our students...to inspire them that they have tools for creating art without the need for expensive gear and supplies. I see there’s a cotton swab video...headed there next.

      Just cut the roll up the long side, cut a bit off and tape the roll back together and you've made a smaller roll. This way you can make many sizes.

    • @donnaconaway6702
      @donnaconaway6702 Před 7 lety +3

      Try taping an overlap (or several small ones) in the tube and make smaller prints also. Staples might work to hold the tube. You can get a small stapler if you do not have one already. I have not tried this yet. I hope it works. It would seem that it would work. If your stapler will not reach far enough in, make your "grassy slits" shorter.Or you could cut your tube and then tape the overlap that you make. Several sizes of dandelions in a project would be awesome.
      I think you might be able to make grass by cutting slits to size and only cutting part of the tube. You could have slits of different lengths and widths too. It should really look like grass or at least I hope so. Just make a few slits and use the tube over and over, making prints next to each other.
      Let me know if this works! I have to save tubes first!
      This is the newest video, so I put this message on this one. I will copy and paste and hope I can get it in the actual dandelion video comments. Sometimes video searches do not work. Good luck!

      I am going to save up to buy some small canvases and a large one too. If I use the same colorings, I can hang them in a great grouping on my wall. Or they could be placed on plastic easels. All these things can be purchased on Amazon at great prices, especially if you do not have a scrapbooking store or a Walmart in your town.

    What a neat and easy way to pint dandelions... I liked the one with the touch of green added to it. I've been saving Toilet paper rolls but hadn't decided what to do with them... Now I know! tfs

    As I said on the hedgehog video, I tried unsuccessfully to make these after seeing it done on pinterest. I see that the trick is layering and having plenty of paint on the roll. I will defianately try again after watching yours. I learn new techniques with each of your videos !!!
    I even like your palate. It would make a good start on a background for another painting using white for the dandelion lol
