From what I understand of dancing, a slow waltz is also called a Modern Waltz. Depending on the Choreographer who wrote the dance, they are usually danced between 29 & 31 bpm. I have just put the metronome on this piece & it is 29 bpm. Most social dancers dance at 30 bpm. A fast waltz is, from what I know, called a New Vogue or Viennese Waltz. Socially, they are danced at about 52-54 bpm while in Ballroom, they can be up around 60-62 bpm. (bpm being bars per minute)
For my music test at school, there was this section where you had to determine if a song's time signature was 3/4 or 4/4. This song was on the test. In case you guys need help with that part and if it appears that your teacher chose this song as one of the songs for the time signature recognition part, this song is 3/4.
I have collected various dances in the last 45 .Slow waltz too,about 500.This is the least favorite, if he would already end up in this collection.It gives me a headache.

Yes, I think Adele's version is more of a slow Rhumba pace than a waltz, but this is a clear waltz. Like it!
