My grandma always made us chocolate cakes for our birthdays. She would never tell us kids her secret to why it was so good and moist. After she passed away my mom finally told us she used mayo in it. I'm glad I never knew all those years. LOL
Lol josh told me he wished that I didn’t tell him, but continued to down half of it 😅
Hi Kristin! Ive always been a silent viewer but I wanted to hoop on to tell you I love your videos! For some reason I love to watch them while im at my lunch break lol. You inspire me to cook more and try different flavors, love your channel! 💕
Thank you SO much! ❤️
Me too!! Currently on my lunch break watching lol
Hey there I know you have said you live pigeon forge area could u plz tell me your favorite places to eat? We are going next week and i would love to know your opinions! Thank you so much
My Grandma kept a chocolate cake recipe secret for 40+ years. It was a family favourite but she refused to share the recipe. It was unusual for her because it was the only recipe she never shared. She shared it with me a few years before she passed and it was basically the recipe you shared in your video (with a few minor tweeks). She told me she'd haunt me forever if I revealed it. 😃
Absolutely agree that it benefits greatly from being made the day before. It keeps well if made 2-3 days in advance. I've never needed it to last longer than 5 days (3 days before an event, event plus the day after leftovers). Usually it's gone the day of an event with relatives fighting over it. 🤣
Mini chocolate chips in the batter is a great addition.
What a great lineup of dishes! The entire steak meal looked so good, especially the potatoes. Then the chicken pot pie! Those biscuits were calling my name. Thanks for always putting out such great content, I always enjoy you so much. 💕
Thank you so much! 💗
Oh my gosh! Childhood memory unlocked!! My mom made “mayonnaise” cake when I was little!! They are so good!!
It's so crazy to me how similar my meal plan this week is with yours 😂
Last night we had potato soup, salad, and grilled cheese, tonight was a pizza pasta casserole, salad and rolls, tomorrow we're doing hot dogs, coleslaw and pasta salad, skip to Monday and we're having sloppy joes and fries😂 I have regular lays and a can of that fruit cocktail so I may throw that with it😍
Thank you for your realistic inspiration and honest feedback. CZcamsrs like you are making me want to start my own cooking channel because cooking is my life and one of the major things I contribute to our family💕
I love cooking at this time of the year, also. All of your recipes look delicious. Can't wait to try them.
This is my favorite time of year to meal plan/cook too!
Adding that meatball soup to our meal plan this month. Looks like a winner!
Hello from Georgia! I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while now and you have definitely inspired this “non-kitchen lover” to want to try new things! We are building a new house that we plan to be in for the Fall and you have me so excited to try out my new kitchen! Thank you for sharing all of the delicious dinner ideas. I know my family will be very pleased!
Congratulations on the new home, that is very exciting!! Happy cooking! 🎃❤️
I remember making a mayonnaise cake in Home ec class waay back in the early 70s and I really loved it, very moist.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes! It’s been so hard for me to get new ideas the kids will eat and us not get bored with it. These are so good, will definitely try all of them soon. Hurray for fall!
❤️❤️❤️
my sister makes mayonnaise cake every year at thanksgiving. it's so good!
Omg I am hooked to your videos . School lunches and dinners are getting better because of you
❤
My husband loves chocolate cake! I’m definitely going to try that recipe!
I love your fall videos! I can’t wait for spooky treat ideas. I’m planning a Hocus Pocus 2 watch party and need all the snack ideas.
Thank you!! Halloween treats are the BEST!
Miracle Whip chocolate cake has been a constant in our family for decades. It was our birthday cake of choice when we were kids!
This girl can cook!!! What a great video! I like everything you made and can’t wait to try it all 😊.
All these meals look amazing. The chicken pot pie looks so delicious 🤤
Thank you!
Always get excited to see a posting from you. I saved the meatball soup and chicken pot pie recipes immediately and will give those a try. Great ideas and I have been making the Miracle Whip cake for years ,it is a delicious cake.
Everything looks soooo good, so young and sooo good in the kitchen. I love it!! I love when you upload!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! ❤️
My mother use to make that cake for us as kids...we loved it...oh and homemade frosting too...my mother said that alot of southerners made that cake..she was from the south
You’ve done it again Kristin! I absolutely enjoy these videos. The cake recipe looked amazing. Felt so relaxed watching it.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
I have thought about cooking meatball soup for awhile but never have. Seeing yours convinced me that now is the time. Thanks for sharing☺
I am definitely trying those sloppy joes! That reminds me of something I came up with years ago when I was a single Mom of 3 kids. My daughter wanted chili dogs for dinner and my boys wanted nachos. I was completely out of bread so I couldn't make chili dogs. I didn't have any ground beef or taco seasoning so I couldn't do nachos. So I threw my hands up and just put stuff together. I cut up cheap hotdogs and browned them in a skillet and heated up some canned chili in the microwave. I put tortilla chips on a big platter, topped them with the hotdogs and chilli. Then I added some shredded cheese. At the last minute I drizzled on some ketchup and mustard. It was delicious! The boys ate it but didn't love it. My daughter is now married with 2 children of her own. Her husband isn't a fan of chilli dog nachos so when she's feeling nostalgic I'll come over and make them and we will chow down in front of the TV. She said it reminds her of how I could make something out of nothing when we were struggling.
Those hot dog nachos actually sound really good to me, and I love the story ❤️
Thanks for sharing my daughter would LOVE this!
@@hannahkayee831 give it a try! The ketchup and mustard sound weird but it works!
I use to have this chicken and dumpling crockpot recipe that was sooo good! I'll have to find it I forgot about until I seen your video, & reminded me of it.
I always look forward to your videos! Your dishes are actually creative and easy not to mention your commentary is very helpful. Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
Love your videos! This is another great compilation that I can't wait to try. Happy Fall ya'll!
Thank you!!
Everything looked outstanding! I will definitely make the biscuits and that potato casserole. I made brownies using mayonnaise once, they came out pretty good. I had the same experience, they tasted better the next day.
Your videos have become increasingly important to my meal plans, our two boys are at college and so I’m usually cooking for two, which is a big switch for me and I kinda got into a rut of boring meals in an effort to avoid leftovers. I am going to try each and every one of these, even the cake although we also hate Miracle Whip!💕
Lunch break and Kristins delicious dinners!
That second dish looks very good.
Kristin, I love your videos so much!! When I’m feeling anxious I watch your channel and it calms me down. 💓
Aw thank you, that makes me really happy that I can help.
I've been making the miracle whip cake for years. It's really good just sprinkled with powdered sugar too.
OMG such good recipes. I was drooling through out the who video. I will be making everything. You make my grocery shopping so easy. Thanks for that. I am glad you all are still doing ok.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I have never heard of putting miracle whip into a chocolate cake. But I guess it makes sense. I will have to try it.
Hey girl, perfect timing. Made the sloppy joes for dinner. So easy and quick on a game night. Thanks for sharing all your yummy dinners etc with us. :)
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing! Everything looks amazing!
You made me so hungry with these meals. I actually liked every single meal. Yum !
When I was a kid we had a recipe book with miracle whip chocolate cake in it and that was always our go to chocolate cake 😁
This is by far been my favorite week of meals. Thank you thank you thank you. My meals are planned for next week thanks to you:)
Yay!!! ❤️❤️
As always, great meal ideas! You are the 1st yputuber I ever watched and have continued to watch (even though I dont comment too much on any videos)...thanks so much for such a great variety of dinners! God Bless🤗💙
that biscuit pot pie looks so good!
I never know what I love more, your recipes or you voice❤️❤️
*your
Thank you so much ❤️
Makes me so hungry...everything looked amazing!
Thank you!
My kind of food! Everything looked amazing, especially the steak dinner.
Thank you!!
I have recently found your channel. I love them all. Thank you so much for sharing all the videos, the kids lunch videos have been very helpful.
Thank you!! ❤️
Good stuff! All of it! My sister is 60 years old & she has been making a 'mayonnaise' cake since she was a teenager. It's her very fave. We like Miracle Whip & mayo, but prefer mayo. I keep Miracle Whip esp. to go in deviled eggs (adds so much flavor), potato salad (half MW & half mayo). I also use it in my cornbread.
I definitely want to try a mayonnaise cake now! Thanks for the suggestions on using up the rest ❤️
Do you genuinely enjoy cooking? I get so inspired by you. I seem to not be creative when coming up with new recipes. I hope to someday be as creative as you!
I do for the most part! There are days where I feel really worn down and don’t feel like cooking though. & if you want to be more creative in the kitchen you can totally do it! I believe in you. ❤️
That potato casserole looks amazing!
I also love chicken pot pie, so I'm very interested in the recipe you posted! I'm intrigued by the soy sauce quite honestly lol. Also, the chicken alfredo bake looked so good! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the ideas! Absolutely love your recipes!
Thank you!!
I just adore you and love your real take with cooking! I just made a banana loaf with miracle whip and it was delicious and very moist. I will definitely be trying your chocolate cake it looked so dam good! thanks for your videos!♥️
These recipes look yummy 😋
Hi Kristin! I most definitely want to try the loaded potato casserole!! Thanks for the new idea! I love watching your what’s for dinners!!!
Thank you!! ❤️
@@KristinStepp your so welcome!!!
That chicken casserole looked amazing Kristin! And the meatball soup looks excellent as well. My husband doesn't think I can make soup. I will make this for a lunch and ask him to try it to prove him wrong!
Thank you! & yes prove him wrong haha! ❤️
Hey Kristin! I don't mind the jarred alfredo stuff at all. So convienient. But you're right, I bet it would be even better with homemade. That pot pie looks delicious! I love fruit cocktail too. Gotta try those sloppy joes. Definitely trying that chocolate cake! Thank you for all the great ideas! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!🥰
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yum yum . Thank you for your videos
I need to try that biscuit pot pie!
There’s a restaurant by me that makes chocolate cake that way! It’s amazing!
That is a chicken pot pie that I believe I could like.
Hi Kristin ! I just love your videos!!
Thank you so much!
Yummy as usual!
If you re still having to sneak vegies in for the kids, you can add chopped up broccoli I'm the meatball dish (when the weather cools down again).
Last year TJ Maxx had a candle called Thanksgiving Feast it literally smelled like all the herbs 🥰
I'm a Miracle Whip fan but when something calls for Hellmans I will buy the smallest jar. After the brownie disaster I had a week ago I'm going to wait on doing any kind of dessert. Someone told me to try I think something called a 2 ingredient cake or cupcakes. All it was the brownie mix and any kind of Soda or Pop which ever you call it. So I added pepsi. Well it was so sweet I couldn't deal with it. Way too sweet. All the recipes look so good 👍
Refrigerated cake is better then just baked also it turn thick and rich
I love miracle whip
Yum!!
I am not a Chicken Pot Pie girl, but this one looks so good! Adding it to my list of dinners for next week ^-^
With the pasta and meatballs you should put some green peas in it... it'll taste bomb
Awesome recipes, thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Thank you!
You could use miracle whip in Amish macaroni salad. Really good 😊
yum!
Try pork steaks fry in cast iron skillet in bacon grease and butter just to sear one both side add garlic powder and onion powder and Montreal steak seasoning put in oven on 250 deg for 1 hour so good
Thanks for sharing, sounds amazing!
Add some fresh rosemary and fresh thyme to the steaks. 🤤😋
Delicious!
My momma used to make mayonnaise cake in the 70s. We hated it lol
What a yummy line up of meals 😋. Something about your videos look so homey, maybe the lighting? Not sure but I love them.
Super delicious meals, thank you for sharing and please do a cookbook
Thank you!! ❤️
I notice you love Pioneer woman products from Walmart. I recommend her chicken pot pie recipe! Best crust recipe ever.
My grandma used to make mayonnaise cakes all the time. They are delicious. Have you ever heard of a pinto bean pie? That is another one my mom used to make and I kid you not, it tastes just like a pecan pie...so much so that she won a blue ribbon at the county fair with it and the judges could not believe it was made from pinto beans.
Ty for showing me these videos ! So great for my daughter who is a newlywed. I had to giggle when you pronounced Dentalini pasta. It's a harder one. But it's actually Ditalini..pronounced Dee-tah-lee-nee..but u call if whatever u want!! You can also use Macaroni pasta as well..just as good and same kind of pasta. The pot pie looks delicious!!! I mean they all do!! But I'd have to cheat and use the pop open biscuits lol. The Rachel Ray Sloppy Joe looks delicious! I also just take Baked Beans and add a little mustard & ketchup..brown sugar & a tiny bit of pancake syrup..mix up. Then cut up bunch of hot dogs. I seriously love Bar S.. esp w this dish..even added some diced onions. I keep forgetting about the onions w u lol....then w leftover mashed potatoes or use Idahoan instant...they taste like real ones u made..just add butter..salt and pepper and I add a 1/4 cup of cream cheese & a tiny bit of sour cream for the BEST mashed potatoes..if u wanna add bacon 🥓 and cheese to make them loaded then ok! But take a hot dog and butterfly cut it...and add the potato mixture and bake a few min on 375 for 10-15 min and you have potato dogs. Delicious!!!
I absolutely love your videos! 😊 you make so many recipes that I would love to try and make! And oh my gosh where did you get that Halloween plate!? I need those, lol
Good Stuff as always😋
Love your Halloween plate
Thank you!
Hey girl just wanted to tell you that the Buffalo chicken tortilla are the bomb. And thanks for turning us on to tortilla land they are the best.
I’m so glad you gave it a try! Those tortillas are superior!
@@KristinStepp yess the only tortilla I've been buying since I saw you video.
Girl you are the bomb....lol Yes, I have always wondered about the mayo chocolate cake !! Your dishes looked so delicious !! I'm on a little diet...but I definitely will be trying the pot pie w the biscuits and trying that chocolate cake. But you right it is a cake from way back in the day w generations back having hard times. I wanna call back in the depression day's . Kristen you really need to consider writing a cook book. 😉 Seriously!! 🍁🍂🍁🍂
Aw thank you so much! 🥰❤️
@@KristinStepp Your welcome !!
Ran over here so fast. Just kidding. Love getting meal inspiration from you friend.
I appreciate you always being here ❤️❤️❤️
Everything looks delicious as usual, especially the steak 🤤
Since having gallbladder out a few years ago, I’m less and less able to process tomatoes 😭 so that soup would probably be a pass for me.
Thank you! & oh I hate that, I have a few friends that deal with that too. 😔
I had my gallbladder out about 15 yrs ago and can hardly eat red sauces 😔. I honestly didn’t connect the 2 until reading this, I also suffer from acid reflux so I always thought it was that.
It’s so interesting how the same surgery can affect people differently. I had mine out about 5 years ago and I can handle tomatoes & red sauces perfectly fine but anytime I eat ANYTHING fried it tears my stomach up & I end up taking 5-6 Imodium to get things calmed down or end up throwing up for hours
My mom always made cake like that and a tomato soup one
I love your accent. So cute.
my grandma used to mayonnaise chocolate cake.
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you!
My peoples are not soup people... but im.sure they will love that meatball.soup... thanks for sharing
