My son and I went few years to Kumamoto we stayed in Nagasaki a week did day trip to Kumamoto we went to see Kumamon loved his show next time will go to the castle hoping next year to spend 10 days in Kyushu.I brought a big Kumamon love him .

does the train or buses get busy maybe on weekdays? what time should be avoided?
If coming from Hakata Station, I would suggest going to Kumamoto early in the morning. We took the second earliest train from Hakata to Kumamoto, I think that was around 6:30ish am? We arrived at Kumamoto castle early, very few people, you can take good photos 😉 When we finished the tour inside Kumamoto castle (around 11am?), there was a queue already. Trains and trams are not busy at all, even in the afternoon ☺️
what time did you go to Kumamoto? and what time did you depart from Fukuoka?
We took the earliest train from Hakata to Kumamoto, I think that’s around 6AM? We always make sure to go early to avoid the crowd ☺️
Did you make your reservation with pass online or at station?
We didn’t reserve, there are plenty of seats in the non reserved car ☺️
Anong ic card tinatanggap sa kumamoto bus at tram? Or cash lang?
Any ic card po ☺️ we used our pasmo ☺️
