  • Planning a roadtrip through Oregon this summer? Crater Lake National Park absolutely must be on your #roadtrip itinerary. In this video, we highlight all the best things to do over a long weekend and dive into the facts behind this truly unbelievable National Park.
We spent 3 nights and 4 days in Crater Lake National Park while driving through #Oregon in our RV. During that time we had time to explore the best of #CraterLake:
    -Discovery Point
-Crater Lake Lodge & Visitor Center
    -Garfield Peak
-The Pinnacles (*southeastern corner of the park)
    -Cleetwood Cove
    -Wizard Island
    -Phantom Ship Island
    -Sun Notch
    -Old Man in the Lake
It's hard to believe this massive lake, 6 miles across at its widest point and over 1900 feet deep at its deepest, sits in the heart of an ancient 12,000 foot tall volcano that erupted and collapsed in on itself.
Until you see it with your own eyes, it's hard to believe it's real. Have a great time in #CraterLakeNationalPark, and please click those like and subscribe buttons if you enjoyed this video - it helps us immensely!

    See you on the road!

Hey guys, great video. btw when was this trip? I am thinking of going there in mid June, however the website says that the rim road might not be open by then.

Hi there 👋🏻👋🏽 and thanks! This trip was from the middle of September, 2023. The park doesn't have an official "open" date as it depends on how quickly they clear the snow. Generally, the lodge area and west rim are open first (the entire rim was not even open when we were there due to construction in the northeast section of the park). There will probably still be snow everywhere in June when they reopen. It's supposed to be an incredible time to go!! Enjoy 😊😊
