  • My advice as a creative branding & website studio owner on growing a portfolio to show your potential clients (without having a client in the first place!)
Having been in this position before, I know how disheartening it can be starting out as a young designer with no clients. You want to gain clients, but you have no portfolio to share with them. I hope this video helps you to mitigate this "chicken and egg" situation, and start landing some of your dream web-design and branding clients!

Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate this advice! I've been in this weird stage where and I've been trying to figure whether I should create fake work for fake clients and this video just gave me reassurance.
I'd love to learn how you reach out to clients, as well.

Really enjoy your video. A lot of Web Designers can build a site but they don't have enough knowledge in branding so that's why the site looks really ugly. You got a really awesome plan and direction.

Thanks for posting this. You already had experience/training in graphic design and branding. Could you shoot a video to provide insight/advice for a beginning website developer who does not have that. Will be using Squarespace. Thanks!

1 Q: i have old work but in multipul fields like ( photoshop edits - logo - charte graphic - carte visite - flyer - encyclopedia - book cover - banner roll-up - banner ...) Should i put all my work or should i pick 1 from every fild or ignore them all & focus on only 1 field witch is logo design !?!?
Btw i've just graduated & didn't start working yet.

Nice. And I think another option for building portfolio is to create for say 2-3 real clients for free first too.
