I love the LeMat revolver! I prefer taking the little damage penalty over the Navy revolvers in exchange for the extra 3 rounds and shotgun shell

My friend personally prefers the rolling block, he says the one shot makes him more focused and more accurate, also he is just insanely accurate with it anyways
this is exactly how i feel, the extra rounds in the carcano makes me play sloppier and spam more and it just doesnt feel as good, so i turned it into a short range rifle
it's useless against tonic spammers, they drink 2 tonics while you reload
Always good to know i dont have to change my loadout after using it for 4 years.......
Although i do like the semi shotgun over the pump shotgun
No point in using semi auto when the repeating shotgun exists
The semi has significantly less range than the pump it could put you at a disadvantage in PVP.

The firerate of the semi will just melt legendary animals or some legenday bounty's on 5-stars

I think I’m about level 200 and all I use is the carcano (for picking off from a distance) and the pump with the Halloween variant because it’s powerful enough and it looks badass. My holster weapons are the saw’d offs with slugs. If I have to engage at close quarters, I’m turning heads into soup. 🍲
lol Everbody and i mean Everybody use the Carcano. That's a old Story ^^ It's the META!!! In Principle you only need 2 Weapons lol The Carcano and the Bow, it destroyed PvP and make it Trash to play PvP. It's broken ^^ You turning Heads into Soup lol i doubt it ^^ against the Dynamite Bow, No Chance ^^ it's also META ^^

@@alyxparker4410 lol You get a Dynamite Arrow for 1 RDO Dollar in the Game 😁 So you can have endless and you can craft aLot in every Fight even on your Horse you can craft Dynamite Arrows. That's why everybody has it and use it and it's OP. It cost only 1 Dollar lol

But usually just a Navy Revolver without a second holster. You've got to keep it classy if you're in a town.
Pump-action shotgun is by far the best out and out shotgun though, there isn't any competition at all in that department.
I made my character based on doc Holliday so I always run the double barrel😭
I havent played in a while but when i did i used double navys with the dual wield perk. Was so fun even if not the best build meta wise for pvp
Carcano Rifle with short scope is my favorite weapon in the game, it feels incredibly satisfying to use and it’s very effective. If you have experience sniping in other games like Call of Duty you should feel right at home with this weapon

i like to use carcano rifle with no scope, as it is a bugged gun not meant to have no scope it has no weapon sway and shoots with no bullet spread

i personally prefer the evan's repeater since i'm exclusively a pve player. large pool of ammo, gets accurate pretty quickly, just doesn't deal much damage so you can't expect anything out of it in pvp.

i like to use all of the weapons, alternate and put myself in different situations where i'' m not the most comfortable, every weapon is good when you learn its tricks.
My loadout is Dual Navy (Mauser for pvp) a Lancaster repeater and the repeating shotgun. I think my loadout works for almost everything. I sometimes use the Carcano rifle cuz it’s OP
I prefer the Litchfield repeater but switch to Lancaster on and off. Also prefer Repeating shotgun, LeMats. I need all the help I can get. 😂
I like the balance of the Litchfield in first person ADS. The lancaster is almost too good. The litchfield requires work to place shots. In big shootouts or heavy waves in CTA I use body shots to set up headshots, you save on tonics that way.
I used the litchfield till like level 90 when I switched to the Lancaster it was the most god tier switch

I play PVE and First Person ADS dismounted. I like the cattleman or Schofield with nickel sights (basic), sawed off shotgun, lancaster repeater (improved sights/nickel), and Springfield (basic sights/nickel). It's a great all around loadout for PVE. The nickel sights help with getting ADS headshots at longer distances. When mounted, all of those weapons have decent bloom for landing shots in third person.

I use now, Sawed off shotguns, Lancaster Repeater, Carcano rifle, or Repeating Shotgun in place of Lancaster And dual Navy's. But my Carcano with short scope is what I'll use often.long scope on Rolling Block. Thanks Cat 🤠

Nowadays I only have one Navy Revolver equipped & only bring out other weapons from my horse when I need them. If the game allows me to unequip the gun belt then I would instead have the Improved Bow on my character all the time.

something funny about the use of the pistols on call to arms, idk why but in PC the ammo crates dont replenish revolver ammo, only pistol ammo

I normally have double navy revolvers, Lancaster repeater, and repeating shotgun, but when I pvp I swap the Lancaster with the carano rifle, I would switch my revolvers out but they work for me even in pvp so I never bothered buying the pistols

here's a griefer loadout
for close range
-sawed off shotguns (dont use it with slugs) goes well with peak condition or gunslingers choice and winning streak
for medium range
-lancaster repeater with express ammo and paint it black
for long range
-long scoped carcano rifle with high velocity ammo and sharpshooter ability card
for backup
-improved bow loaded with dynamite or fire arrows
sawed off shotguns are a beast too xD if you want to make it more personal and for some reason at least for me Rolling Block Rifle is much easier to pvp with then the Carcano Rifle but I mainly use Carcano for PVE and RBR for PVP :)

Im mostly using the saw off shotguns.. but im not a paint it black player. I use slippery bastard. So i use sawed off with shells. So it has a wider spread dodging bullits and blow everything away.

Dual navy’s, upgraded bolt action rifle with scope, improved bow (with any arrow type that u want), throwing knives/hatchets, and a lasso….thats all you need. I NEVER use my repeater rifle. The bolt does great damage, especially with damage ability card, AND it can switch between scope and 3rd person shooting, and has good fire rate (considering it’s a mix between a repeater and a sniper.)
Just started Online about a week ago. Currently level 47 and I typically run Lowry's Revolver + High Roller Revolver, Lancaster Repeater, and Pump Shotgun. I'll switch out the shotgun for the bow or I'll switch out the Repeater for the Bolt Action Rifle, depending on the situation I'm in.
I've noticed a lot of people are running Sawed-Offs. I haven't tried it but basing my experience on other games, a pump is usually the best all-arounder for shotguns. Will have to try dual wield Sawed-Offs tho and replace the Pump with either the Bolt Action or bow. I have my sights set on the Mauser pistol because I liked it a lot in single player.
The sawed offs have low range but deal upwards of 4000 DPS.

@@kamdenrost7785 - I spammed Bounty Hunter because it was the only role I had at the time and I made sure to do most of my daily challenges.
What platform you play on? I played for a while on PS4 and am just now getting on PC online, was wanting to go back to my trader role because I enjoyed it so much, but does the bounty hunter make more or do the roles make similar amounts of money?@@DonDeLem
@kamdenrost7785 - I have it on PS5 but I don't really play it that much anymore. Bounty Hunter is the best role for getting Gold, but if you don't really need Gold anymore and just want money, Moonshiner and Collector are pretty good for that. Trader is really good too but requires some time invested to level it up

I carry one revolver, & over auto. Plus shot gun, & reaper. For hunting i use a bolt action, or bow. Depends on what I'm hunting
personally i just buy the second holster with gold when starting at level 1 and instead of the lancaster, i purchase the litchfield, purely because of the iron sights and the slightly increased damage, both the lancaster and the litchfield one shot headshot (all guns do) anyway so they're the same to me

I use Litchfield Repeater (with a scope) instead of Lancaster, just seems better and the change in fire rate is almost negligible, damage with express bullets is basically equal to the carcano rifle. I also use Dual M1899 pistols and a pump action shotgun, sometimes a carcano and varmint rifle, or a bow.
I use the Schofield revolvers, the Lancaster repeater,, and the pump action shotgun
Use what you like. To do everything, I agree with the Cat even if that's not my loadout.

I think you can actually use shotguns on any animal as long as you use slugs and get a headshot.
I do like the doble action revolver but is the worst revolver, unless combined with Gunslider's choice that is the only card that improves acuracy.
I prefer the navy revolver to all the other pistols/revolvers and instead of a shotgun I just use the elephant gun since it feels good
All you need are:
2 sawn off shotguns
Carcano rifle
Lancaster repeater
Improved bow
With this you are covering every scenario you will find yourself in, pair with the slippery bastard dead eye card and you are good to go for PvP, hunting and PvE.
Slippery is trash, so are sawed offs
Vermint* has entered the Chat
Still need Varmint for small animals, birds and Naturalist role
@@PVPCat to be honest I have a varmint rifle and have never used it on animals, I maxed out naturalist to get the expanded consumables and never touched it again. Nobody I know ever even finished naturalist besides me, it's a stupid role.

I prefer the spring field rifle with express for pvp it can 1 shot to the chest if the players not using health tonics or meat and if they are you can kill them with a head shot

Hey PvP Cat i've been following you for a long time, but didn't play for almost a year and chose to play rdo again. You've helped me alot with your tips all about Pvp money making etc. and i'm thankful for that. But i have a question, it's more of an advice. I have all roles and the thing is i can't quite get rich. I always have around 1500 - 2000$. But i have to spend some money on tonics,ammo equipment etc. I just bought the large wagon for trader since i hit (lvl10) and my only real solid income is trader and bounty hunter (lvl 30). Collector (lvl 16) is a solid but quite boring income and requires much time. Naturalist (lvl5) i leveled it up just to hunt legendary animals for cribs. (Lvl 3) moonshiner i only have the weak moonshine. Do you have any tips which role should i grind/invest the most? Or in general what should i do to maximize my money in shortest period of time? I'm a guy still using dual Scofield and my Litchfield. The damage for me is the thing I'm a good shot cause I play alot of fps and use free aim on foot only.

Not in online Less damage and range but bolt action is acquired at lower rank so it’s the better option

2 Scholfields, Varmint and Bolt, nothing else, 3 different guns in 4 pieces total, B.A.R. replaces repeaters perfectly and fire rate evolves the more you use it...

I have dual Schofield revolver with the fancy variant, idk how the stats compare to other revolvers tbh. As for pistol I’m not even sure I ever used them yet despite being level 290 lool 💀
You don't even need to buy this many in my opinion:
- Dual Sawed Off Shotguns
- Carcano Rifle
- Bow
- Varmint Rifle
Is all i ever used up to level 100+.... I didn't play organised PVP much but these are enough for every other situation.
The best weapon really depends on your playstyle. But one thing you need to have is the varmit rifle.

I'm good with 6; two Navy Revolvers, a Lancaster, a Varmint rifle, a Carcano, and Repeating Shotgun.

Geesh. At this point let's admit that any 7 weapons will do. 1 must have is the varmit ( unless of course you're good with a bow and can craft small game arrows). So with that point you can get by with any 7 -unless you want eggs or perfect small pelts (then you'll need 1 of those 2). Pick weapons you like and use the heck out of them till their gray bar is filled (familiarity) - there's your power. If you want to bump up your familiarity, take your guns to the gunsmith and let him clean them periodically. For me after all these years here are my 4 go tos: #1 bolt with scope #2 volcanic pistols #3 bow #4 varmit. Level +++++ platinum on game, solo call to arms, maxed out awards for most weapons. Lancaster sucks for me as does the carcano. Personally, the weapons you list are of choice ONLY if you want to bang your head against the wall of cheaters/hackers/adolescent developers assigned to RDO/general game ruiners in PVP. But even then, I'll stick with my four.
I went into one of the main story missions and the NPC was like BRING YOUR BOW. I did not have a bow. I slunk, ashamed, to the nearest shop after that one.
My 4 weapons for war are:
Sawed off shotgun with incendiary rounds, Navy revolver, improved bow with dynamite arrows and the carcano sniper rifle 😍

I haven’t played in ages, but I used to use only varmint rifle for hunting (and pvp back in the days), bow for hunting and stealth kill, bolt action rifle for hunting and casual pvp, evans repeater with explosive ammo for griefers, and dual LeMat revolvers for fun
Very occasionally a sniper, but that’s it
Almost never used any of the other weapons, although I have them all fully upgraded

As a high-level player and have all weapons bought, I just use whatever, from volcanic pistol to Springfield rifle.
Dual Navy's, the normal Bow and a Carcano, Freeman Tribe life.
I have a question for all, how can I have a 60 rank, but a person with a 5 rank continues to kill me with a gun they can't have until your ranked 30.
If you have a paint it black setup just use dual wield mausers, they’re good for pvp but also pve because they hold the most ammo at 10 per gun, and when reloaded it reloads all 10 shots, just buy the pistol ammo pamphlet to get 200 max regular bullets at fence if the ammo count is a problem because pve is a joke with the amount of shots you can put downrange with the mausers and all it takes is one headshot in paint it black so special ammo isn’t needed, 200 shots is more than enough for any activity including call to arms especially because of the ammo boxes

У меня раскладка оружия состоит из двух маузеров (я их иногда меняю на флотские револьверы), полуавтоматического дробовика и винтовки каркано. По картам: в пве использую «рвч», а в пвп проныру (на пс4 она очень имбовая, ибо все полагаются на автоприцел) :)
эта раскладка служит мне с конца 2021, я считаю это наилучшей комбинацией на все случаи жизни

I have every one of these guns except for pistol and varmit rifle I u.se elephant rifle
I practice with Carcano on random roadblocks, hideouts, etc. Tried in CTA but fell off the roof twice. Distance distorted and I tend to move forward.
I always used the rolling block rifle on roofs. Haven't done Call To Arms since leaving Stadia, so no idea how well Carcano works or not there.

Bolt Action is much better than Springfield in PVE. Same accuracy but Bolt shoots much faster, you’ll be hitting headshots anyway so damage doesn’t matter
If You go for headshots, then just use Lancaster

Honest opinion to make red dead 2 better in campaign is port all the stuff from online to story mode all the clothes guns accessories as well as the ability to own a business like moonshine and trader sort of thing hell if red dead online did it the ability to have better camps or a cabin house that doesn't move around

Call me crazy but I think cattleman’s revolver is the best, I think because I beat the whole story with it and got used to it or simply because I’m dumb, I just think cattleman’s revolver is just reliable and still able to kill anything I shoot at in 1 shot, even pvp I beat guy with golden guns with it.

Sawed off, varmint, improved bow. Bare minimum you need against everyone. Everything else is just luxury.
