it's like their styles belong to different groups (social groups) at school but they still are a group of friends on their own..We see on too many shows and movies a group of friends all wearing the same clothes but not on PLL..You have the fashionista, the straight A student, the athlete and the artist as one group :)

I also loved how they were friends despite having different fashion styles. I wish that more teenagers in high school didn't have this mindset or code that in order to be accepted into a group of friends you have to dress the same way as them. There's more to friendship than what clothes you wear. Why it takes forever for teenagers to figure that out is beyond me.
