Roberto Garcia is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2001, and held the IBF junior lightweight title from 1998 to 1999. He has since worked as a boxing trainer, and was voted Trainer of the Year by The Ring magazine in 2011, and by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2012.

Funny, I recall Robert's last amateur when he was 17 . He fought my guy in the finals of the Western Olympic Trials in 1992. Wow, time flies.

One day in 1996..Couple homies and I..About 4:00AM were on our way out of town..Streets are empty and my boy sees this hooded figure jogging down C street towards us..We’re like this MF gotta be crazy..He gets closer and it’s Robert..😂Around 7:00PM we’re back in Oxnard..Hit the gym next to his family’s taqueria..And Robert is behind the cash register taking our order..His work ethic has always been unparalleled.Salute homie.💯

Great interview Ray. Would you ever consider having an experienced judge on? Say like a Dave Moretti or someone of his level of knowledge & experience? It would be interesting to hear a long time well respected judge break down how it all works, the training they go through, and whats going on with some of the bad decisions we see and what he thinks causes them & what changes could be implemented to eradicate them from the sport

From a production stand point and I’m not a producer show more of angle of you and your guest. We love seeing you and your guest emotions, you know us Mexicans are emotional and a little animated. Show an angle that’s shows both or multiple people while you communicate.
